I called JEBCO in the summer to perform an overall inspection of the HVAC system, including the electrostatic filter; called because their sticker was on the unit. The heater and filter did not work. It seemed like they did not really want to make the call, but they sent a tech in about four weeks. He said the AC was OK, the filter was too old to fix, and could not test the heater because it was too hot (in the 90s), and to make another appointment in Fall. Charge $37. I had to go out and buy paper filters. Called again after a cold snap, and the same tech came back in a couple of weeks. He pronounced the heater too old to fix (without any testing), and quoted over $3,000 to repair (as if this couldn't have been concluded in the first inspection). Charge $95. I then called another company to get a 2nd opinion (one highly rated on this list), and they showed up quickly, and fixed the heater for $210. JEBCO had NO interest in finding a way to make the existing system work, and effectively charged $132 for doing pretty much nothing. I would not call them again.
Description of Work: Inspected AC and furnace.

We are very satisfied with the work. So much so that we had them come back to service the unit and prepare it for winter. The evaporative cooling unit works great. They arrived on time and finished the job in a timely manner. They also removed any debris and did not track dirt or mud in to our home. We did have a rebate, so the price I listed for the cooler and installation is just an estimate.
Description of Work: Service Experts installed a new swamp cooler unit for our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house. They removed the old unit and left everything working correctly and neatly.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE WITH JEBCO WAS NOT GOOD. THE COMPANY'S HANDYMEN HAD TO COME BACK TWO TIMES. THE FIRST TIME THEY INSTALLED THE WRONG KIND OF CONDENSER FOR THE SIZE OF THE NIT. THE SECOND TIME THERE WAS A LEAK IN THE BASEMENT FROM THE AIR CONDITIONER.
Description of Work: JEBCO REMOVED AN INEFFICIENT CONDENSER IN A CENTRAL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AND REPLACED IT WITH A NEW ONE.
