I wish I had read and paid attention to all of the bad reviews when booking carpet installation through Home Depot. The installers not only arrived hours later than the scheduled installation window, they incurred damage to my home and refused to accept responsibility, like other reviewers have already noted. During the job, they tripped the breaker for one of the rooms they were working in. They reset the breaker multiple times while working (I could tell because my Internet router was plugged into that circuit), but at some point the breaker became stuck in a permanently tripped state. To make matters worse, the crew could not answer any of my questions due to a severe language barrier (I don't speak Spanish). I believe any chance of determining exactly how they damaged my system disappeared when the crew left my house. I also believe any company that respects it's customers would attempt to make it right. However, they brusquely denied my claim outright, blaming my home's electrical system and denying any culpability. Any company that sets a foot in customers' homes needs to prioritize and respect the property of the customer, going out of the way to compensate damages. This company appears to be the opposite -- believing that there will be no consequences for damages caused either directly or indirectly. Please choose another company and help the free market work properly.

Wish we could leave ZERO stars. This vendor refused to complete a carpet install, after requiring a $350 Asbestos test (1909 basement), no refund for testing. They had specs for the floor and pics of the space, instead of inspecting the site to ensure viability of install - they insistent I must get the test - then on install day - installed all tacking strips - left the site and then told me the job could not be done. Installer had to be asked to return and remove the tacking strips - and when they returned - entered the house the the basement entrance that other contractor on site were using - and did not even inform the home owner (me) they were in the home!!! Horrible company! Look elsewhere for quality service and care from and installer!!

The installer decided to cut the water line to the ice machine even though it wasn't on his work order. He claimed he "didn't like" the copper hose so he sawed through it and replaced it with a plastic tube from Home Depot. He isn't very skilled (see photos) so when the water was eventually turned back on the hose popped off the back of the refrigerator and flooded our kitchen, ruining the floor. The installer denied cutting and replacing the water line. When the vice president of HOM Solutions heard our story he told us, "if I got rid of every employee that a customer complained about I wouldn't have anybody working for me anymore". He blatantly admitted to allowing workers who have damaged homes back into new customer's homes. He refused to cover the damages and we had to call our own home insurance to cover the expenses for their damage. In addition, the installer cut corners, literally, around the floor and slapped kick plates on the base of the cabinets without so much as measuring. I showed these photos to other contractors in the Denver/Boulder area and they were appalled, and offered to redo that work for just the cost of materials. I have given this review to various realtors in the Front Range and HOM Solutions is now on their "Do Not Recommend" lists. I will never hire them again, and I only want to warn anyone thinking of hiring them in the future. They don't care about doing good work, their installer lied, and we we're stuck with the full amount of payment plus repairing their damages.

Let's see....they took a month to actually attempt to come out to my home. They set up a time between 1:30 and 2:30 pm. The guy who was scheduled to come out calls me at 2:23 pm. Not sure what he wanted and if he was ever going to show up. I cut him off before he could finish and told them not to show up. I'm sorry but it's VERY unprofessional to call at 2:23 pm when you have a deadline at 2:30. People have lives and jobs. I will never recommend them or EVER use them. Horrible communication. Prior to this little incident, I called 2 times to schedule and nobody called me back. I then emailed and never received a response. I had to call Home Depot and they had to bug them before they would call and even set anything up. I feel bad for the people that are working with you to get any kind of home improvements done. A month job can take 3 years at the rate you're going.
