Gordon Concrete

Frank Gordon concrete was a subcontractor recommended by a co-worker. Frank's crew completed the job in a timely manner at the price quoted. When I requested that caissons be used, he said that they were not necessary. The concrete pad shifted and cracked within 6 month of the original replacement. My repeated calls to teh contractor and to Frank (subcontractor) were not responded to nor messages returned. After a month of repeated attempts, Frank finally called me back and said to contact a mud-jacking company. They came out and said that if they mud-jacked the porch, it would 'float' away from the foundation, AND the portion of the porch that was replaced had dips, in addition to the cracks and sinking. He blamed the contractor for not wanting to pay him for the work that needed to be done. After playing phone tag with him again, Frank agreed to replace 4 (out of 6) of the panels, but would not address the dip in the concrete closest to the house. After repeated pattern of him not returning my calls and scheduling times to come out which he never did, he told me that he injured his shoulder, and would replace the concrete the following year (2013). Like a fool, I attempted to schedule a time for him to complete the work. He stated that he would replace only 2 panels (originally he agreed to replace 4 out of 6) panels, and would caulk the remaining panels. True to form, he is AGAIN IGNORING my phone calls/messages. He stated that he would complete the job by the middle of June-this time frame has come and gone. I have given up hope of him guaranteeing his work. I have been telling everybody that I come in contact with (I work for a local permitting office) NOT to use him for any work as they will regret it.
