Genesis Conservation

Description of Work: David Goens, owner of Genesis Conservation, is great. Very professional, very detail oriented. His crew varies depending upon the job and their availability. It took a couple of weeks to repair many cracks in a 1926 house plaster ceiling and walls, patch old screen doors, and paint exterior windows. Anything the crew did not do, David made sure he did personally, making sure I was satisfied before he called the job done and collected the final check. I recommend him for any group of "old house" issues when you don't want to have to find several different specialists for each task.

Description of Work: We had a flat roof approximately 20 x 30 that was leaking badly. We removed the old roof, some of the underlayment sheeting, and some of the support planking. We replaced the bad sheeting, laid a layer over the whole roof, and put on the Self-adhesive Modified Bitumen layers. We did this in the spring, and had variable weather, including rain, wind, and cool weather.We replaced old wood siding on a 50's era 20' x 20' expansion to a small home. We did the siding on that expansion, and the peaks of the old house. We also removed and replaced all the gutter for that portion of the house. All the old siding was removed, and replaced with layers of material, including the underlying osb, tar paper, building wrap, styrofoam insulation, and vinyl siding. Electrical work had to be done to permit the siding to be replaced.Dave was able to find us able contractors to do work that was outside of his expertise, such as electrical work, or furnace work.I was pleased that he allowed myself and family to contribute to the labor, and to be credited with an expense reduction resulting from the labor we performed.
