Replacing my tar-and-gravel roof posed several challenges as it is a combination of flat and angled surfaces. As if the job wasn’t difficult enough, add one angry neighbor and multiple weather delays. It has been said that you learn more about a company when they are faced with multiple obstacles. Fortunately, Mark Murphy and Formula Roofing accepted every challenge with integrity and passed with flying colors. Now I look forward to rain and snow as my roof is finally sealed and weather tight. I could not be more pleased with the final result and I would hire Formula Roofing again in a heartbeat.

This was a horrible experience! We agreed to replace our roof in April 2023 after a home inspection by the buyers. They requested using Formula Roofing, we unfortunately agreed. Formula gave a quote, we signed the contract. A few days later our area was hit hard by a hailstorm. Our insurance adjuster came out and approved coverage. The representative from Formula called us and said that we need to cancel the contract and they could go directly through our insurance company because they could charge more for the job. We informed the rep that he could not unilaterally cancel a contract. There was a lot of pressure for us to cancel that contract, including calling our Realtor inappropriately to have her pressure us as well. She informed us that he had accused us of insurance fraud. A call to our insurance agent assured us that this was not the case. If this weren't enough.... Part of Formula's sales pitch is that they offer $250 if you allow their sign in your yard. I had to call to request this after the job was complete. The card had almost a zero balance. Formula wouldn't deal with it or issue a new card, we had to contact the card provider ourselves. After much time on hold for many follow-up calls we went through several weeks of documenting that we were not the ones who used the card fraudulently. Finally a new card was provided. Dealing with Formula was a headache from beginning to end. Do yourself a favor and hire a reputable company.

Formula Roofing and Remodeling did a great job replacing my hail damaged roof. They are professional and just straight nice people. They worked with my insurance company to get my roof replaced fast and easy.

Swiftly! I have had my roof replaced 3 times over the last 10 years due to hail damage. I never used the same company twice due to poor experiences. Most recently, I hired Formula Roofing and remodeling and they have earned a customer for life.

I called Formula on a recommendation from my realtor. The sales rep was very knowledgable and gave us a quote for full replacement. We got a couple other quotes, Formula's was a little higher, but in comparing apples to apples, the other contractors had intentionally left off sections of the job that needed to be done per code, so we went with Formula (I appreciate honesty). Work started on schedule, they worked super fast (done in one day), and cleaned up (even used a magnet to get nails in the yard.) Overall I was pleased with their workmanship and customer service, and I paid exactly what I was originally quoted.

Great timing with all the work preformed. On time and the quality of work was great! I was very concerned with nails being left behind and my kids getting into them. They did a great job cleaning up as though they were never here. VERY happy about how smooth this all went. I highly recommend these guys.

I needed a new roof after purchase of a new home. Formula Roofing came out several times before closing, and provided OK customer service through the bidding process and sales. They were priced about the same as the other two quotes. I decided that I would go with them, signed the contract. That is when the customer service went down hill. As the crew showed up, I asked that there be an "English speaker" on site through the project as I had other contractors that would need to work with the roofers. The sales representative that I worked with joked about me not speaking Spanish, (which offended me) and then told me that it would be ridiculous for him to stay and just watch the roofers, he mentioned he had other clients to work with and that he would be back and forth. Even after I stressed that I wasn't comfortable not having an english speaker on site... I was laughed at.. by the sales rep, who did not stay. Turns out that I did need an English speaker onsite. I was frustrated with watching the old nails being nailed back into the wood instead of being removed... I wanted tried to ask why they weren't being removed, not a single crew member could communicate with me... I watched them work wondering if it was being done correctly. The other contractors also had issues communicating effectively with the roofing crew doing the work. Turns out that the roofers laid the new wood for the roof wrong around the around the new vents, which pulled the vent out of code. The next day both companies were on my roof blaming each other for who did what, and who’s fault it was and who was going to fix things. In the end I felt it was Formula Roofing that caused the problem - and they ended up fixing it. As I handed over the cash for the work, I asked about the permit that was posted, and what I needed to do with it. (I 'm a first time home owner) I was told to just wait a couple days then take it down, the sales person made it a point to tell me that "it will pass anyway - so you won't have to worry about it". A week later - my new roof… FAILED inspection. I called Formula to let them know i got a fail notice, I requested a different crew and a new site manager. I let them know that I was going to rate them a D on the work and service from before..., then they failed inspection… Christopher was very responsive to my complaints and requests. I let them know that I was heading out of town in a couple days, which didn’t seem to matter - they scheduled the fix when I was out of town, so I had no control over any of the re-work that was done, never met the crew or the site manager. I never got to inspect the re-work with them onsite. I received a phone message while I was out of town saying the work was done, and when I returned the city inspector passed the fixes.

He was great. He was very competitive price wise. He was responsive, every time we called, he answered the phone immediately. They did the job as quickly and as thoroughly as possible. It's not really easy to get through having our house re-roofed and our place is huge, so it's one of those thing where it takes a long time to have it done, but I couldn't have had a better experience.

They were competetively priced, they had only quality craftsmen to come to my house, they never asked for any money up front, very punctual, very polite. They provided me with some other upgrades that I had never heard of. Will Kerr was the project manager I dealt with, he is very knowledgeable.
