Foothills Glass Inc

Some guy was lurking outside my window when I arrived from running an errand. It was the Foothills Glass representative. I was a little annoyed that he was casing the joint. The guy was covered in filth from head to toe. His hands were black. I was reluctant to even let the guy in my house, but I was informed they did good work. Days went by without an estimate.

After a minor few day delay in coming due to a problem with the van, Mark showed up to provide an estimate. He was very friendy and said he would measure the window and provide an estimate. He left without providing an estimate. After not having heard from the company; a couple of days later I called to see if they would provide an estimate. They said they would get back to me. The next day they called me back and said the would not provide and estimate for the work because the roof pitch was too steep. They also could provide no recommendations for another company to do the work.

I waited 70 days for the installation and had to call the company 4 times. When they finally appeared, it took about 10 min. to install. The insurance company estimate per linear foot for the molding with installation was $1.82, or $23.66 for these two windows. I was charged $198.43 for this--8.4 times more than the insurance estimate. A different company had installed a new window for me and provided 104' of the vinyl glazing bead for this and four other windows free as a courtesy for the window installation job. Later, I remembered that two other windows required molding as well, but I didn't want to impose on the first company. Instead I went to Foothills Glass, which is located nearby, for what I thought would be a simple and inexpensive job.
