The move went without a hitch. Arrived on time, handled everything carefully with no damage to either furniture or houses. Their guys were amazingly strong, able to carry heavy dressers with filled drawers. Didn't need to empty drawers on most things. Pricing was definitely reasonable. I am moving again in a couple months and won't hesitate to use them again.
Description of Work: Provided local household furniture move in Lone Tree - 2 large bedrooms, kitchen, living room, outdoor furnishings, boxes. Did our own packing. Completely filled their truck

Never called/never showed up. Worst moving company ever. I scheduled a moving appointment for Labor Day of this year, made two weeks before, and I sat at home during the time they were supposed to arrive waiting for their call that they were on their way. I started attempting to call them a few minutes after their two hour window had ended. The first phone number went straight to voice mail and the mail box was full. The second phone number did ring through to an open voice mail box and I left an urgent message. I also emailed them. At 2:37 pm (they were scheduled to arrive between 8 am and 10 am, so almost 5 hours after the window had ended) they emailed me back and told me that they have been having a problem with Groupon not paying them and had decided to place a hold on all jobs that included a Groupon as part of the payment (so they were basically blaming me for buying the Groupon *THEY* had created). There was no phone call a week before, or the day before, or even the day of the move to let me know they were not coming. There was no email, no communication whatsoever until I forced the issue. We were in the fortunate situation of not being under a tight deadline to get this move done. They just wasted 6 people?s day and ruined a lot of hard work we had done. If we had been under a hard deadline with a house closing or changing apartments, it could have been a very expensive endeavor. I am just glad we had a place to sleep that night even without the movers. I have been in customer service for 10 years, and I cannot comprehend writing an email to a customer like the one they sent me. I have been unable to think of a way that this can ever be made right, and I will never use First Class Movers LLC again. They have proved themselves unreliable and uninterested in communicating with their customers. The movers might be good?if they ever show up? I have never been treated so poorly by a company and cannot stress how upset I am about this entire situation. I hope that this review will save you the headache and heartache of this company ruining your move.
Description of Work: They were supposed to take furniture and boxes we had in the garage and disperse it throughout the house for us. Because they never showed up, they did not perform any actual work.

We moved from Arizona to Denver at the end of July and we found this moving company on the internet. I had loaded the Uhaul in Arizona then I drove us to Denver and I figured I would be exhausted to unload and move into the condo in on the 4th floor downtown so I decided to hire movers. They showed up on time, but we weren't ready so they got breakfast and everything seemed fine. I helped the 2 man crew move into a 1 bedroom condo. Being that my family owned a moving company growing up, I knew exactly how long and how many men this job should take. I also know how to properly move furniture. Much to my surprise I come down and they are trying to put a dresser on a dolly and scraping the h*** out of it. I say "lets use pads" because up to that point they hadn't used pads for anything. They preceded to take "let's use pads" as an offensive insult toward them and begin trash talking about me and one of the movers left, and said " I need a break man, this is not a 2 man job", followed by f** you (keep in mind it was 45 min into the job, it was not even an hour!). I have never been verbally attacked the way these two hoodlums approached me. These are 2 guys trying to fight me and I am the customer! Then one guy leaves (he actually is married to Tiffany the owner) and says he isn't coming back. The other guy realizes that this is his only job in this hard economy and starts kissing my a** so I don't get him fired. He ends up helping me finish the job, while the other guy just walks around! The other guy comes back and says "sorry, I got carried away" and at that point I told him it was too late and that the damage was done. I paid them for 2 people for one hour (which was way overpaid, b/c one guy left 45 min in), and called the office manager/owner Tiffany to tell her about the experience. Of course, she was "so sorry" and this "has never happened before" and thats all she said. When we unpacked our stuff they ruined every edge of our brand new couch (2k) and it needs to be fixed. We also did not receive a receipt! We have called Tiffany and this company so many times for reimbursement expenses (we have pictures) and a receipt for moving for work reimbursement and we still have never received a call back!THIS IS THE WORST MOVING COMPANY I HAVE EVER SEEN OPERATED, THIS IS NOT ONLY THE WORST MOVING COMPANY IN DENVER THIS MIGHT BE THE WORST MOVING COMPANY IN AMERICA, the only thing they didn't do that was terrible was they didn't steal our stuff. **RESPONSE *** LaVia is the last name, check your records again. I guarantee you did this move. I will never forget the name.
Description of Work: Their job was to move a one bedroom condo from the street into the freight elevator and place the furniture and boxes in the condo on the 4th floor. The easiest 2 man job ever, but they turned into the worst company I have ever dealt with, not with just moving but with anything.

I found them on Angie’s List. I’ve used them twice. I was very happy with them. The person that took care of everything and did the moving was good. The person that I contacted over the phone was excellent. He gave me complete information and told me how much it was going to be. It was an approximate amount because it was by the hour. He gave me a very good estimate and things just went well. They sent 2 different crews to do the moving. They were very pleasant to deal with. They were great. The second time that they moved was in a rainstorm and they were very nice. It was raining pretty hard and they took care of my friend’s things. They were pleasant young men to deal with. The price was very fair. They were very responsive, punctual and professional. I would use them personally. One of the young men knew that it was an older person that was moving and at the end he said, “I hope she does really well”. He gave a little personal interest. He hadn’t even met her because she was in the hospital. They were very pleasant.
Description of Work: I used the services of First Class Movers in April and June for moving. I set up a move for a friend of mine who is an older person moving for an apartment to a nursing home to storage and then from storage into a new apartment.

HORRIBLY. I contacted Action Figure Moving on Friday to inquire if they would make an exception to their 2 hour minimum, explaining that I wanted to empty a 5x6 storage unit and deliver the contents to my home garage, less than an hour's work and 1-1/2 miles apart. Chase agreed that First Class Movers, a sister company, would do the move on Saturday because they had two other moves in the area, quoting me $65/hr for two men and a truck and a $20 trip charge. He stated he would call me at 11:30 on Saturday to confirm a time between 12:00 and 2:00 to do the move. He did not call as he said he would, and when I called him at noon to find out if we were still on he said they were running late on the first move and that the 3:00 was more realistic. Again he said he would call to confirm. At 3:30 when he had again not called, I called him, and now the second job was in over time and he said they would get to me at 5:00. At 6:30 he finally called to say they were ready, but we were in the middle of dinner and had other plans for the evening. He said he would reschedule for Sunday at 11:00 and call at 10:00 to confirm. When no one had called by 11:00, I called him. He said it was his day off and it was someone else's responsibility to do the move, that I was "on the board" for Sunday morning and someone from the office should have called. I pointed out that he was my only point of contact and he had answered on the phone number they use in their advertising (on Sunday morning). So I asked him to tell me who to call to get my situation resolved; I called the number and left a message for Tiffany (who never returned my call). Chase told me that it wasn't his fault that the other moves took longer than anticipated, that he had "worked his butt off" and that they were doing me a favor to do the move in the first place. Well, that may be true, but they said they would do it and then kept blowing me off, so the better part of my day was wasted waiting for them to do what they had agreed to. This was very unprofessional; from my point of view you are only as good as your word. Chase was completely unapologetic, and (worse) extremely defensive, blaming the other customers for the timing on Saturday instead of himself or his colleagues, who clearly underestimated the moves. And, he had a cell phone and could have kept me informed, but he chose not to--and this from someone who thinks he knows good customer service because he is a business school graduate (a correspondence course, perhaps?). To make matters worse, someone named Bob called me shortly after I'd called the office number Chase had given me. Bob said he would do the move within the hour, that he just needed to get someone else to help with the lifting. He met me at my storage unit with two laborers (not one, as I'd originally contracted for) and a pick up truck--not a moving truck with a lift gate, as I'd arranged for on Friday. No moving pads, no straps, nothing but an open bed pick up truck with trash in it. To their credit, they worked with dispatch and got the move completed in less than hour. When they were finished, Bob informed me that Chase had told him it would be a quick $100, not the $85 that I agreed to on the previous day. Turns out Bob is his neighbor, not an employee of Action Figure (who supposedly are licensed and insured, which is one of the reasons I'd contacted them in the first place). Bob called Chase from my home to say that I was unwilling to pay the $100 Chase had told him he would get for the move, at the same time telling me that he had to pay the two laborers $20 each plus his trip charges (a round trip of only 5 miles, not even a gallon of gas), that he would make no profit on the job--remember that I'd agreed to $85 for two men and a truck from an insured and licensed moving company, not some college student looking to make extra income without the overhead that a moving company has. I told Chase he would have to make up the difference to Bob, that he had no business telling Bob a different figure than he had told me and also not informing me that Bob was not an employee of Action Figure. I am sure Chase, in his typically co-dependent fashion, will feel he was being helpful, but really he was the source of all the problems and a complete disaster to work with. I absolutely would NOT hire Action Figure to do a move, they have not demonstrated any professionalism whatsoever, and a "care-less" attitude toward their customers, if one can judge by my interactions with Chase. I can recommend Amazing Moves without hesitation, and would have used them for this move except for the two hour minimum. I will be making a complaint to the PUC, as well, with respect to Action Figure's incredibly inept and deceptive business practices.
