First Class Housekeeping & Maid Service

They start at the top and clean to the bottom, it takes them about 2 hours to clean my house, which with 3 dogs has some dirt! They are very careful/respectful with all my antiques, wash the floors by hand. I can't live without them!!

Rep responded within an hour to original request. I had narrow time frame and they accommodated me immediately. Two women came and understood exactly what I needed and did it in record time. It was very professional, proficient and helpful. All of this on a day after the major snow storm.

They did a good job; they were punctual and courteous. They did a good job of getting up all of the dust and animal fur (which is quite a feat as we have a houseful of animals!)

Two members of the First Class crew showed up on time and helped me priortize what needed to be done. They then jumped in for several hours of intensive cleaning. There were some areas that I had neglected for a while that were quite dirty. I might have been embarrassed with another crew, but these two lovely women just dove in and got it sparkling. Since I was really looking for some help on getting the place back in shape so I could maintain it, I was willing to work along side the crew. They didn't mind this more unconventional arrangement and accomodated me so that we worked as an efficient team. I'll be sure to call this company when I need a deep cleaning to get ready for company or if I happen to find myself with a big mess on my hands again.

With both of us working full time, we have included funds in our budget for periodic housekeeping for several years. The company we had been using had been declining in quality for quite some time and disinterested in our requests for improvement. We terminated our relationship with the other company in September, and have been looking for another company who would do a thorough job, take pride in their work, and be great to deal with. We believe we have found all three in First Class Housekeeping & Maid Service. We scheduled an initial deep cleaning, expected to last four hours. The team of two arrived at our home five minutes early, gathered their supplies, and rang our doorbell at exactly their scheduled arrival time. They asked to be shown the areas of the home to be cleaned and got right to work. We were home at the time and at first thought the progress was slower than we thought it should be. Upon going upstairs to check on the progress, we immediately knew why. We have had deep cleaning done by two other companies in the past, but this team went above and beyond what any of the previous companies have done. They polished the top and bottom of bookshelves. They dusted individual knick knacks. They changed the sheets and made the two loft beds (other companies won't do bunk beds). They dusted, scrubbed, polished, and vacuumed - they even moved small furniture, vacuumed underneath, then put it back. The team organized a few areas that were cluttered as they went along, truly going above and beyond our expectations. After three hours had gone by, we received a call from the company's owner asking of the team could stay for two additional hours so that they could finish on the main floor. We were happy to approve. When the team left, all of us (including two teenagers) walked through the house and could not stop praising the work these two hard working housekeepers had done. I honestly can't remember the last time our home was so clean! The only issue we had was that there seems to be slight residue on our wood floors. The owner of the company called to ask about our satisfaction and ask if we were interested in regular cleaning service. We shared our overall satisfaction but mentioned the floor residue. She said that the cleaning mixture was likely off a bit and she would be sure to talk to the team. Happy with her willingness to address the concern, we asked for a quote on bi-weekly service. Given the quality of the work, I was expecting the quote to come in extremely high. While the cost is about $20 per cleaning higher than our previous service, the quality is exponentially higher as well. We have scheduled regular cleanings and hope we are as thrilled with the bi-weekly service as we are with the deep cleaning. The employees that come to my home are very professional, courteous and they always arrive on time. They do a thorough job of cleaning our home and they even rearrange the towels, pillows and bed linens so that the entire house looks clean and attractive. The only area that even bares slight mention is that we have two dogs and, as such, part of our cleaning protocol requires keeping up with all the dog hair and keeping the wood floors clean, which requires a bit more work with dogs. While the cleaning crew does a very good job in this area, there is some room for improvement. Specifically, the wood floors could be a little cleaner and the furniture could use a bit more hair removal. Other than this very minor issue, they do a fantastic job, especially when compared to other cleaning services (and we have used many).

Not well. They were totally unresponsive. Waste of time.

This company is the best, period. I will definitely have them back on a regular basis to keep my home polished up.

I have found them to be responsive, thorough, and whenever I’ve needed to change any scheduling, they’ve been accommodating. Stacey, the owner, has a set industry-pricing schedule, so her pricing is fair and she’s able to explain the pricing. The B in quality is due to them being so thorough that occasionally they put things away that we can’t find later on. They’ve been great to work with overall!

She did a stellar job for me. Very pleased with their work. They went above and beyond what I ever expected.

They come every 2 weeks........clean the house top to bottom, including the frills like chocolates on the pillows!!! My frumpy old house just glows. THANKS THANKS THANKS!!!

It has gone well. Stacy is very responsive. Some cleaners are better than others. I have no complaints, except I think the price is a little high. I have not shopped other house keepers.

They also do window cleaning at an additional charge, but I didn’t have them do it. If there is any issue they come and fix it immediately. I will use them again, but I have moved from the area.

Julie is great. Very friendly and easy to work with on scheduling. Does a great job cleaning.

Finally, it turned out to be excellent

It started out rough. I had to call three times before anyone called me back. I was somewhat desperate for someone to clean my house. I was very busy and had people coming into town. After they called me back, I scheduled them to start at noon and finish by 4 pm. I have two kids (one in preschool) and I was counting on the girls to be punctual so I could keep my own schedule. They did not show up until almost 2 pm. I called after they were over an hour late after not hearing from anyone. I was told they were ten minutes out but they showed up over a half an hour later. They offered a 10% discount for my trouble. Upon arrival, two women showed up, dressed in maid uniforms. They brought all of their own cleaning supplies/tools. They got right to work and did a pretty good job. They seemed to work hard, although one of the girls was constantly on her cell phone, talking to various people, which I found to be annoying. Some areas seemed to be cleaned with more attention than others. The kitchen was spotless. It was clear they scrubbed the countertops, the sink was gleaming and the stainless steel appliances sparkled. However, in the bathroom, they missed small areas of mildew in the tub and didn't really get in the corners clean. They also dusted around objects so you could clearly see a visible dusting line around things like the TV, the tops of dressers and shelving. Also, their vacuum cleaner did not get all the pet hair off the carpet and I had to re-vacuum the floors myself. They did do an excellent job vacuuming the upholstery though and the couches and chairs were completely free of pet hair. Due to their tardiness, the girls did not leave my house until after 6 pm. I felt inconvenienced by this. I had to leave and go pick up my child from school and leave the girls alone in my house. Overall, I didn't think they were very respectful of my time. I wanted to get dinner started but they were still working in the kitchen. After they left, I looked over the list of things they were supposed to do and realized they didn't do everything they were supposed to do. For instance, I know they did not "hand wash" my kitchen tile or my hardwood floors. I watched them spray my floors with cleaner and use a Swiffer to "mop" up the spray. I also know for certain they did not clean the interior of my refrigerator, which they were supposed to do as well. They also brought fresh flowers and put them on the dining room table, which was a nice touch. Overall — it was okay — just inconsistent. For what I paid, I was expecting more.

It is $260 for the first clean and then it's $120 to do it monthly. They were awesome. They do a fabulous job. My mom said that the workers were very nice. Stacy, the owner is fantastic as well. I would recommend them.

Third cleaning and a very thorough job each time. Most recent cleaning the team used Murphy's Oil Soap on my dark laminate floors that left an unsightly residue. But after a call, the team came back and re-did all of the floors. The extra touches commonly found in high-end hotels are a lovely thing--a vase of flowers in the kitchen, chocolates in the bed pillows, etc. Very nice. For the first time in years of housecleaners, these people are rating tips!!

Cleaning services are always well above expectations, I'm not home when they're here but they always leave my house in beautiful shape. Snow is shoveled before I leave for work in the morning. I had one issue with the guys who put plastic on the windows but they quickly made it right with one call.

The tenants did a pretty mediocre job of cleaning when they moved out of my rental property, so when this Big Deal came up, I gladly accepted the deal. The owner was very responsive in returning my call and getting the cleaning scheduled. I was able to describe what needed to be done over the phone, so it was very easy. The cleaning crew did a great job. They even dusted the blinds and the trim throughout, which would have taken me forever to do myself. I will definitely hire this company again.

Overall it went well. The ladies were late, which was a little annoying, but they performed a great service. House was sparkling and I was very pleased. I wish their day started earlier - the earliest they could arrive at my house was 9am.

It went well. The only thing was the one of the women didn't speak English so I could only communicate with one of them.

Vivienne responded right away to my voice mail. We did a detailed walk-through of my house so I knew exactly what the cleaning staff would do. Her crew has always been on time, thorough, very pleasant and honest. I highly recommend them!

I would say I received what I paid for, which is too bad because I heard great things about this service from other Angies list customers. The owner was very willing to assist in getting the date scheduled I was looking for, but did not follow-up with the items she said would outline the cleaning and confirm the appointment via email. I had to call back and confirm the day before. The cleaners themselves showed up very professionally dressed and were very nice to us, but their cleaning skills did not speak very highly for them. We found marks that were not cleaned off of the wood flooring, items on the counter were not moved and therefore parts of the counter had not been cleaned, the master shower didn't not look like anyone even touched it, and the vacuum they use is a backpack with a hose and does not do well at cleaning large carpet surfaces. When the cleaners left I noticed that the digital displays on the oven were flashing dashes- which I have never seen before- so I contacted the owner to let her know right away there might be a problem, but I was going to look into it, she seemed concerned and said she would speak to the ladies that were there to see if there was a problem. I ended up fixing the displays by resetting the breaker, but before it was fixed the owner called me back to tell me the girls had nothing to do with it. Of course the ladies are going to deny all wrong doing, they are afraid of getting fired or not getting paid for the job! Prior to this cleaning I was under the impression that the girls worked for company, but I found out after the cleaning ended that they did not. Two of the three girls worked on their own and gave me their card in case I was looking for a cleaning service on an ongoing basis, instead of using this one. After I fixed the oven I called the owner and had to leave a voicemail, so I proceeded to tell her that the oven was fixed, but I would appreciate it if she would call me back to discuss some issues- the cleaning and the contractors passing me their card- but she never called me back at all. At the very least you would think she would want to ensure her brand does not get damaged, and that the customer is taken care of, but that seems not to be the case. At least she will know now that the people she hired to help were trying to steal business away from her!
