I contacted Fireplace Equipment to service/tune my gas fireplace. The serviceman that arrived was Brian Gray and his card was for Fireplace and Handyman Services with a different phone number. I assume there is a partnership. Brian was very efficient and professional. He informed me when he was going to be a little late in arriving. He was very thorough and did an excellent job cleaning all parts of the fireplace. It looks new now. I am very pleased with the work and would recommend this company.
Description of Work: My fireplace had not been cleaned or tuned in over 7 years. It was erratic in igniting and often went out after being started. Brian immediately started in on my fireplace. He took the screen, glass, trim and logs out and cleaned everything very thoroughly. He advised that the erratic ignition was due to a misplaced ground. He adjusted it and then put everything back in place. He checked the outside vent to ensure that it was functioning properly. The job took approximately 1 1/2 hours. The fireplace looks great and works very well.

Description of Work: My gas fireplace was not working. I was pretty certain it needed a new coupler. However, Ryan, the tech, just cleaned the unit and adjusted certain items and it was as good as new. A lot of companies would have replaced items (that didn't need replacing) to run the cost up. I was very happy that the only charge was the service call.

The whole experience was quite good. The repair was scheduled promptly. The repairman arrived early, and came in upon my invitation to start early. He worked efficiently, and was extremely courteous. I appreciated his willingness to share solutions for anticipated future concerns. He cleaned everything, and tested the whole system to make sure it was working well.
Description of Work: My fireplace flames were no longer lighting. They were fixed, and the system was cleaned. The problems with the thermostat were identified, and suggestions were made for an easy self-repair.
