Not prompt, either a liar or very emotionally confused, did not complete work in agreed time, tried to change agreements repeatedly, eventually asked him to just leave and hired Brekhus Tile.

The initial problem was that his wife picked out a piece of granite which was the wrong size. He said to go pick out a bigger piece, which we did. We called him and told him that we had two pieces picked out at Guy's Flooring. His response was "Well, Leigh (my wife) we can make this work with the piece that is too small. It is already being leathered, we can make this work!" She said OK. He wanted to put a black border on the piece. She told him that she did not want black on the border. On the day of the install, Anthony called and said that the piece they had manufactured was still not long enough, so he had put a black piece on the end to make the length proper. She said that that she did not want black (again). She said that she wanted to come to the shop and look at it. The black piece on the end was declined, and another piece was placed on the end. They came to install the pan. Anthony said that the liner under the pan was to be a special high tech stuff. It was not, it was just a standard material that is used in every type of setting. However, the drain hole was not in the proper place, and the plumber had to redo the plumbing to match it. Additionally, the granite lip (called the step) was not the 2 1/2" all the way around as was contracted for, but was 3/4". This was not wide enough for a shower door to be placed. Additionally, the added portion that had been placed on the end had just been glued on with no supporting structure underneath. When this was pointed out, Anthony said that he would fill in under the end piece to provide strength. My wife had to go find pieces to make the edge wide enough to hang a door. She took them to Anthony's shop to have them glued together and "leathered" (making the granite not slippery). The leathering had been part of the initial agreement. Anthony could not schedule us for another week. On the morning that he was to be here at 0800, he called at 0730 and said that he had lost part of the pieces that he was to bring up and install. He wondered how it could have happened. I asked him to bring the pieces that he had up and just drop them off. We had had enough of a project that had now taken six months. He agreed only if I would fax him something saying that our contract was complete. I did so. I will now have to have a fabricator make the additional width pieces, the supporting structure under the added end pieces and install the significantly less than hoped for shower pan. This is a business that you do not want anywhere near your home. They do not complete contractual obligations, do not fulfill contractual deadlines, lose material, are completely disorganized, and one cannot help but wonder if the owner has some form of mental deficit. Although he talks a magnificent game, his performance is woeful. When questioned, he then goes either into a "woe is me" mode or the "I am calling my attorney" mode. Either one of which is accompanied by a great deal of sighing and a sort of stream of consciousness babble that is mind-numbing.
Description of Work: He was contracted to fabricate a granite shower pan, and a granite shower seat to attach to a newly constructed shower.

Evergreen Marble and Granite provide free installation and consulting service to design and install 2 1/2 bathrooms and a full kitchen with two level island. They coordinated all demolition, electrical wiring, and drywall repair for all projects. They were the only company to offer full slab installation and pattern matching of each slab. Staff provided excellent status reports and timely installation on all of these projects. The sales and installation staff were friendly and provided the best service I have seen in many years of numerous remodels on our house. A great family owned and operated company.
Description of Work: Evergreen Marble and Granite installed custom granite counter tops and full splashes for our kitchen, window still and two level island. Work was excellent with almost invisible seems and perfect fitting cuts. They returned as scheduled to inspect work and cleaned and polished all granite. They also installed 6 granite slabs in master bathroom which included a two undermount sink vanity, whirlpool tub with full side and splash and step, full two person shower with multiple faucet bench, and matching window still. Shower was very big with full granite slabs (no cuts) on all sides and ceiling. This is very unusual and made for a beautiful and impressive shower. They coordinated installation of glass walls and door as well as a customer shower base made from the same granite. We were so impressed with the quality of work and followup service that we had granite installed in two other bathrooms. This is a great family owned and operated business which I refer to all.
