They were very good at contacting me and getting things set up. They were concerned when things were not going well and did assure me they would do what was needed to correct things. To be fair to them, I did not give them that chance because I was so upset with how it was done after being re-done once already. Their drainage knowledge and professionalism is not even close to what I would consider the work of professional landscapers. It was a very expensive lesson for me. I assumed way too much with this one. If you want a certain level of work, you better make sure it is in the contract. The contract simply stated a very brief description of the work being done and the price. That should have been my first clue. If you want your work done with the least expensive supplies and with the least degree of effort, then this is your team. My house sits on the side of a hill and I assumed the drainage pipes would run out to where the hill dropped off, so the water would naturally drain downhill. I went out after the guys arrived to talk to them to make sure they were going to direct them down the hill, but they had already dug the trenches. No one made any attempt to verify what work I needed done and it had been almost 2 months since they had been out for the estimate. Instead of directing the drainage pipes down the yard to where it drops off, one was directed straight out from the side of the house about 10 feet. I had no drainage issues on that side of the house, so I figured it was probably ok. The problem side was directed out to the side and at a downward angle, but not enough to handle the downpour of water I've seen come thru there. It needed to be the fastest drainage possible on that side of the house. These drainage pipes they originally had dead-ending in the dirt, underground, with no outlet for the water. My soil has a high clay content, so this was not going to work. As far as the regrading of the corner of the house with the problems, they shoveled some of the sod around, leaving it very bumpy and still no definite direction for the water to be shunted to away from the problem corner. They even piled dirt on TOP of decorative rock and told me that would re-direct the water. The first heavy rain would wash that away. There should have been dirt added and regraded up inside the flowerbed to redirect the water flow. They left and I told them to have Jake call me. He did and came out to check things out himself. He had them redo the drainage outlets so they ended up in gravel pits that left me with a 1 square foot of rock in the middle of my side yards that the water would drain out of. (I've never seen a gravel outlet located in the middle of the grass in a yard before.) He also had them re-grade the corner a bit more. It had more of a trench, but since they didn't even bother digging the trench for the drainage pipe deep enough, the water still could be directed into multiple directions and back into the problem area. Then they threw handfuls of my grass seed down, over the area that was now compacted, with no attempt to rake it in at all. And it was still bumpy and it would be hard to mow over. It was not professional looking at all. I expected re-grading to involve them bringing in extra dirt to accomplish what needed to be done and to make it look nice and so I could mow over something that wasn't so uneven. They said to give it a try and they said they would come back out if there were any problems. It rained moderately the following day and I had a puddle in the middle of my yard, on the side I didn't have any problems with originally. I decided to pull up the sod and take a look at what they did. They used two short drain pipe pieces, linked together by a very loose connector and the second drainpipe piece actually angled up hill. I verified it with a level. At that point, I told them I was very unhappy with the work, but because the head person seemed to think this was ok, I did not want them back in my yard. They were willing, I have no doubt, to come out as many times as it took to remedy it. I just didn't have time to deal with this over and over. I needed it done right the first time and didn't feel like I should have to see if they angled the drainage downhill. They are supposedly the professionals here. I ended up tearing out everything they had done, spent $250 on additional supplies and did it myself. When I tore out the drainage on the problem side of the house, they had used a couple of very short drainage pipe pieces (one section looked like a broken left over piece) with the loose connectors which were located right over the problem area. So, on the big rainstorms, if the drainpipe couldn't drain as fast as it should, it would back up out the connectors and over the problem area. I expressed how many times I've had to deal with the drainage issue and that I needed everything possible done to prevent it. Nothing they did would have made much of a dent in my problems and that's the main reason I hired them. They may very well be good at other aspects of their job, but at drainage, they don't know what they are doing. A very expensive lesson learned...Be very specific with what type of materials are used and how you want it done and put it in the contract. Otherwise, you'll get the easiest, cheapest project completion possible.
Description of Work: I needed drainage put in from the front 2 corners of the house, down the slope of the yard away from the foundation, as well as some re-grading done on one of the corners of the house where I have had major problems with water leaking in the basement. When we have big downpours, the water drains right into that corner when the gutters can't handle the water levels.

We used them a couple of years ago. They did a great work. We have them before for a couple of things and so I have the guy pretty well and he gave us a good quote. He got in and did the work and got out. It was fairly small project as I recalled I think it is a French drain. He got great solutions for all what we needed and he got the job done quickly. The cost of service was $500.
Description of Work: Dream Irrigation & Landscaping Inc crew came and did French drain for us.

He knew what he was doing, he was punctual, he works really hard, and we'd use him again. I was shocked it only cost a $150. He had to do some diagnostics, he had to figure out some stuff 'cause our sprinklers were just screwed up. We chose him because in our neighborhood, we get a little newspaper for Rocky and Jason Realtors and sometimes we hire people off of his little list that he has and his little newspaper thing and dealt with people that are in there, that's why we hired them. It was sprinkler repair. His price was good, he was punctual, and he worked really hard.
Description of Work: Dream Irrigation & Landscaping Inc. was just at our house for hours and did a really good job. They had straightened the heads, adjust heads, changed nozzles, they had to do something to add part to a zone, a number of things and he was here for hours.

Dream Irrigation was able to get us scheduled quickly. They were prompt and did great work. It would have taken my husband and I an entire summer of weekends to complete the space they finished in 5 days and there is no way we would have been able to make it look so nice. No complaints -- we love our new outdoor space!
Description of Work: Dream Irrigation redid an existing patio and added onto it for us.

We have been continuously bothered by poor drainage on one side of our home. This year storms were so bad that they flooded our basement. We have used Jake from Dream Landscape & Irrigation in the past. We called and told him of our problem. He immediately came out to look over the area and offered several suggestions.Jake & Megan always kept in touch with us and let us know what the schedule looked like. Do to unforeseen problems they had to delay the project about one week. That was fine with us and they gave us plenty of notice of the change. What most people want is to be kept informed and have things explained to them clearly. Jake & Megan took great care to communicate with us. Thework went quickly and ssmoothly and we now not only a repiared side yard but also a better landscaped area. Overall, the project went perfectly and we couldn't be happier.
Description of Work: Removed all the rock mulch and underlying soil, re-graded and added new soil and packed it down, sloped grade away from foundation of house, dug a ditch and added a new french drain to remove excess water and laid plastic sheeting from foundation to ditch to funnel excess water runoff into the french drain. Then the area was re-mulched with rock over the plastic and new flagstone stepping stones were inserted. We also asked that two dead trees be removed. When I came home I barely noticed the trees had been removed. There wasn't even a wood chip left or a twig to indicate they had been there. Cleanup was outstanding.
