DNC Hardwood Flooring

Horrible! Old finish was not correctly removed and new stain was applied unevenly. Contractor destroyed all trim work and splashed stain on surrounding walls, which were freshly painted. Contractor was asked and given opportunity to remedy all work to "workmanlike standards" and was unable to do so, despite 3 attempts. Although we were able to receive a small refund... a fraction of the total cost.... a true professional would have admitted he was in over his head and refunded all funds paid. We are out several thousand dollars and had to hire a true professional (who has an A rating) to re-do all work, as well as a painter to repair all damaged trim work and painted walls. (The new provider did an amazing job, the first time!) DNC flooring cost us dearly and I would advise anyone to not pay up front until you have seen the finished product. Had we done so we would not be out nearly $7,000. Not only was the workmanship horrible, the owner has no morals or ethics. A professional would have fully refunded us our payment as he readily admitted he and is subcontrator could not complete or remedy the job properly. Furthermore, company is not properly licensed in the state of Colorado. Take heed! The difference in workmanship between DNC and the new contractor we hired is night and day and validates that "workmanlike standards" are still possible in the flooring industry .... when you hire the RIGHT contractor. Lesson learned -- Be sure to look for only A rated contrators on Angie's list before you hire any contratcor.

It was great. The owner of the company came by and looked at it as well as one of the employees. They gave me a really good price for it. Both the employees were very nice, knowledgeable, helpful, hardworking, courteous and communicated well when they were going to be here for the work. If they didn't show up when they said they would, I always got a call. It took a little longer than what we thought it would and they had to put an additional coat down because the floor was really old and have had carpet over it previously. I'll have them come do the rest of my house.
