Dire's Lock and Key Co

After the Dire's locksmith left and "fixed" the lock, I went to unlock the lock, and the key would not work the lock. I called Dire's at 2:00, and the man on the phone said they would send the first truck in the area to fix the lock. I called back close to 5:00 and asked when the truck would be coming, and he said no other trucks would be in the area until Monday. I let him know this was unacceptable because I was moving and needed to have access to my shed. The lock had worked just fine before his service and after he picked it, it was broken. He insisted that there is no way that the work done to unlock the padlock could have make the key not work anymore. It had worked fine for months, and had worked just fine that morning, and worked just fine on the matching padlock, but would not work after his service was performed. He said that they were not responsible for fixing the lock, and all they were responsible for was unlocking the lock, and that they had performed their service. When I said that they did not leave the lock in operable condition, he again told me that was not their fault. I said that I need the service immediately, and he said he wasn?t going to drive 25 miles to fix the lock. I said that I found him through Angie?s List and chose him because his business is listed as within 5 miles of my home, and he said the business is not the same as where the trucks operate. This would have been good information to know. I then told him his customer service was unacceptable, and he started attacking me and asking what kind of work I did. Then I told him he was being rude, and he told me that I better stop it or he would no come and help me at all. I told him I would look for another locksmith to fix his botched job. He said to go ahead, that he?d been on 9 News and could give me the names of 4 other locksmiths in the area. I said I did not want his recommendations, and he told me to shut up. I said, ?Did you really just tell a customer to shut up??, and again told him that was unacceptable. He told me to shut up again, and I said that I would report his unprofessional behavior. He then said goodbye and hung up on me. I was able to call another locksmith who came that evening so that I could regain entry to my shed by grinding the lock off. They were able to find that the pins in the lock had been ruined when Dire's picked the lock. If all you need is a lock unlocked, Dire's can do that. If you want it to work again, do not use this company. If you want to be treated professionally, do not use this company. I waited to file this on Angie's list until I left town because the angry, threatening behavior exhibited by the locksmith made me fearful retaliation.

In the past I had changed 3 locks. They are very punctual, so they are on time. They do the service quickly and made adjustments to a lot of doors to lock more freely.

He is very knowledgeable about locks. He also a service that comes out and they are very prompt.
