I just had one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a company. Denver Dustless repaired and refinished the top floor of my house back in February. I immediately noticed there were areas where they did not fully lace the flooring up to the kitchen island, fireplace and wall. In these places the subfloor is visable. There is also a small hole in the master bedroom and discoloration with the stain. My general contractor communicated with them and said they would have them come back out at a later date to correct the issues. This week, Denver Dustless came out to review the repairs and also assess some water damage that occurred due to a broken refrigerator (obviously not their fault). They were very hard to schedule with, would not commit to a time until the day before, moved the day the night before. They have little regard/notice to one’s time or work schedule. One of his first comments when he arrived was that my house looked like a disaster. I am still finishing the renovations, moving in, unpacking, work a full-time job and am pregnant while my husband is away for work for 6 months. I am trying to get the house in order as best I can so that really hurt my feelings. I showed him the water damage and repairs I’d like to have done from their original work. He became very defensive and said that the issues where the floors were not laced in were not their fault. My painters were here and felt bad at the way I was being treated. One painter asked about the cracks in the floor. Denver Dustless insisted those were normal. When we challenged that and asked more questions he became visably angry. My painter said I was being very nice just asking questions trying to understand. Denver Dustless claimed it was because of my heater and that it is very dry here in Denver. He said I needed to get a radiator to prevent all the cracking. I told him yes, it is dry here in Denver but I have radiant heat which I have heard is less dry as it is a water/steam system. My painters said they do not have those cracks in their floors and I have friends who have hardwood floors that do not look as bad as mine. He laughed at my response. I said “I feel like you are being condescending. I am just trying to ask questions and understand.” He proceeded to walk away and put on his shoes. While walking out he said “You all are part of the ‘YouToo’ movement and you are on your own.” He refuses to make any corrections to their work. I tried to engage him again and let him know I just was asking questions to understand but he refused to talk. I let him know how unprofessional I felt he was behaving. I have no interest in having Denver Dustless repair anything and am happy to engage another company.

Denver Dustless was called in to refinish oak hardwood floors in the dining room and windowsills in the living room. a total of 150 sq.ft. of space. They assured me they could meet the date I needed to have them done for a price of $600.00,whcih is quite high given the small amount of floor space. Although i felt they may be taking advantage of the situation in repsec to price, I decided to go forward since in general they had good reviews on Angies list. They were supposed to be very responsive and communicative with the customer with a high quality of workmanship accoring to their sales personnel and ownership. The first sign of trouble with this company appeared right away when the workmen that came on site to complete the work did not even let me know when they were finished. If not for me traveling the 15 miles from my home to the site to see how things were going, i am not sure they would have ever called to let me know they were done. Upon arriving at the site and entering the doorway,it was obvious that there was something wrong inone very visible area of the dining room floor. The refinishing process caused one section of the dining room floor to become blistered, cracked and a deep gouge in the floor to appear upon completion. The fact that I had to call them and tell me them about the issue, tells me that the workmen did not even have a quality control review of their won work before they left. It was a hurry up in and out process so they could go to the next job in their effort to maximize revenues without regard as to the quality of the product and the impact to the customer. I immediately called the management of the company to inform them of the problem and my call was taken by the receptionist. See assured me that the owner of the business would call me by the end of the day to determine what needed to be done to correct the poor workmanship. That was the last I heard from the company for the next week, when i again called to find out why I did not hear from the owner. What i found out was the company is long on issuning apolgies and short on actually getting anything done. Another week had passed before Igot my 1st call from a decision maker within the company and wescheduled a meeting for their operations person to come out ot he site to look at the damage. Long story, short, the meeting had to be scheduled days later since they were so busy. When their representative met with me, he too was very good at apologizing for the poor job and assured me that i would be getting a call from one of their subcontractors that dealwth fixing the type of problem I had within the next 2 days. anothe week passed and idid not hear from anyone at the subcontractor. By now, it had become obvious the type of company i was dealing with i called themback and told them I was requesting a discount from ther invoice and i would fix it myself. The agreed and I paid the discounted invoice. Suffice it to say, i will NEVER use this company again for any of the type of work their marketing strategy states they are capable of. What they did not know is that I have a need for this type of service on a routine basis because i am an active real estate investor. Not only will I never use them again, but i will let everyone i come into contact with how they dealt with me. The letter grade of "F" is actually too high of a score for them. I beleive the actual letter grade they earned was a "Z" for zero.....the type of company that should go away due to lack of demand for their service.
