I am not a customer. I do want to complain about your drivers- at least one. She was driving your company car down mineral toward Santa Fe at around 4pm on Tuesday Jan 21- she nearly took off my front end switching lanes and then laughed about it. She was missing teeth. Please check drivers - no reason for that to have happened and it’s dangerous

They do an amazing job. The air in the house even feels cleaner after they've done their magic. They use no harsh chemicals and there are no fragrances, and best of all the house sparkles.
Description of Work: A team of three amazing women clean my house every three weeks. When we had two big dogs they cleaned it every two weeks.

They did a good job with respect to housecleaning, but there were a couple of issues that caused me to discontinue using their services. One was that they left our gate open on few occasions which allowed our dogs to escape. The other was that many of the cleaners spoke English as a second language which meant that many requests or instructions were lost in translation. It should be noted, however, that Denver Concierge has done the best work of the handful of cleaning companies that I've used. They also utilize eco-friendly products which is good if one has kids or pets.

Over-priced. Under-delivered. Team of three took an entire day to complete the cleaning of a 1500 SF house. Had to supervise to make sure work was done, then told that was inappropriate. Things had to be done 2-3 times. Staff had to be watched to ensure tasks were completed satisfactorily. Tasks that had been performed in the past were not done. While Angie, the manager, was very professional and was willing to negotiate on the price, it was not worth all of the aggravation.

I am writing as the owner of Denver Concierge to personally respond to this review. It is unfortunate that people can come online so easily and attempt to damage the reputation of solid companies like the one we run. We perform 15,000+ house cleanings a year in the Denver market. We have 450 very happy, regular clients that never complain, they pay their bill on time and we rarely have any issues. We visit another 300+ homes every year for special cleans, holidays, etc. We are A+ rated with the BBB and enjoy a stellar reputation in our market. When we do have the inevitable issue, we bend over backwards to make sure our client is happy. Our rating and reputation has been earned by doing just that. Unfortunately, every now and then, all businesses encounter clients that just “aren’t right for them”. This is one of those cases. We had a poor prior experience with this client in 2010. In the booking and cleaning process, there was evidently an issue with our communication and we did not meet the expectations of this customer. We discussed it with them and ended up giving a substantial discount (50%) to this client for the services we provided. It was clear after experiencing this that we probably weren’t the best fit for this home. The client did not book on a regular schedule and we did not expect to hear from them again due to their expressed dissatisfaction. In May of this year, however, this same client called us back for a booking, despite the fact that they were not happy when they used us in 2010. While that surprised us, we elected to return to this home to see if we could provide a better experience this time around. Regretfully, that was a poor decision on our part. The situation that our employees encountered was difficult at every turn. The client estimate of how long it would take in the home versus the reality of cleaning and the effort to clean this home to our standards were miles apart. The client also followed our team around, creating huge inefficiencies in our work. They also repeatedly called the office to complain and it was very clear we were not pleasing them. It seems they made every effort to begin the negotiating process to reduce the price almost as soon as we started. We ended up sending an additional team of three to this home to complete the work and we did so at no charge to the client. The total bill for this clean would have been over $1,100 under normal circumstances. It should be noted that this amount is significantly above amounts that clients usually pay and it is reflective of the very difficult conditions and time consuming cleaning efforts we provided. Due to the obvious dissatisfaction that this customer had once again, we made the decision to again discount the amount owed, and the client was charged $650, which she agreed to. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this home and have made every effort to please this client. We stand behind our work 100% and hope that our reputation and history help offset the remarks made here. They are very reliable because they are coming every time and extremely good at cleaning. They are the cheapest, but they are really good. They are very detailed and they are just very consistent about what they do. I will continue to use them.

I had three ladies that always came out. I have the same people come every time. They really work hard. They spend about two hours and that is a lot of cleaning. They are expensive but I get what I pay for. They are great. They did a beautiful job; really nice job. They get down on their hands and knees washing the floors. They are very thorough. My house would shine after they leave; I wouldn't even recognize it. One time, they broke a vase or something and it was not a big deal. It was not really their fault, I had left it out in the sink and so it just slipped and broke. That was the only thing and it was not a big issue. When she broke the vase, after they left, that same day I got a call from the office to apologize and to ask if they can do something about it. They were willing to replace it but it wasn’t worth anything. They were very caring and I wanted to make sure that they weren’t hurt. I have had less expensive house cleaning done but it has never been as good as this one. I can’t even really compare because of the difference so I would definitely say that the price is worth the money I spend on them.

They are absolutely meticulous and clean the house from top to bottom. They clean the floors by hand! I have never seen a deep cleaning company like them. It is not the cheapest, but it is the best clean you can get and definitely worth the money.

Very unfortunately, due to surgery I was unable to keep up with our home. So, I hired Denver Concierge to clean our home. The first cleaning on July 13th went very well. Alma left a nice card. The home was clean with no damages. The second cleaning on August 3rd did not go so well. The banister in our home was dinged from one end to the other. Literally chips of wood had fallen away from the abuse and some of our wood looked as if harsh chemicals were used instead of furniture polish. On August 29th Denver Concierge came out to the house to take a look at the wood and as a result sent Furniture Medic, Sherri Fey out to fix the banister on September 8th. On August 31st Denver Concierge again came out to clean and did an unbelievable amount of damage to every piece of wood in our home (scratches, chips, etc.) as well as cabinetry and chips were taken off the glass tables, huge scratches on the door handle at the entrance to the home, etc. On September 8th Furniture Medic, Sherri Fey came to our home to repair the banister. She did and billed Denver Concierge $150.00. She said this was standard behavior for these cleaning companies as they are running around with vacuum packs on their backs and running into everything. On September 15th, Denver Concierge again came to our home to assess the damage to the whole house. They waited a week to call back and said they did not feel responsible and would pay $100.00 towards the repairs which they did. On September 27th, I hired Artistic Furniture Renewal, Dave Fisher to take a look at the damages and begin work. Dave worked in our home on 9/27, 9/28, 9/29, 10/3, 10/5, 10/10 and 10/13. One piece was so bad he took it to his shop to work on and estimates $300.00 for that piece alone. To date we have paid Artistic Furniture Renewal, LLC $2,062.50 and that includes the work through 10/10. He probably has one more day to work in our home. I believe we will be at nearly $3,000 when he is finished. I would like Angie's list to help me recover the cost from Denver Concierge as they are responsible for all damage.
Description of Work: They cleaned our home on July 13, August 3 and August 31. July 13, $268 - August 3, $175.50 - August 31, $143 Total = 586.50

Note: this complaint was recently rejected by a local television station consumer advocate person as invalid. Response: Denver Concierge does on average 15,000 cleans a year, is A+ and Gold rated with the BBB for one reason: we take excellent care of our clients homes. We have offered previously and are more than happy to have our insurance company do a full investigation into this matter, as we would never shirk our responsibilities and have been serving delighted clients since 1999, cleaning many sizes of homes across the entire front range, some sized over 10,000 square feet and some we clean more than once per week- this would not be possible were it not for our utmost service to our clients. As soon as the member called to say there was damage, we sent out our quality control manager to take a look, and offered to pay for Furniture Medic to also come out and see what happened. We did pay $150 dollars to repair the stairs in her home, even though we did not truly believe we did the damage, but because we always strive to serve our clients in the utmost manner. After agreeing with us that we would pay Furniture Medic to come out, the member had another furniture person come into her home, which is her right to do of course, but this was not what we agreed upon. The member states that Sherri from Furniture Medic told her that cleaning companies do a lot of damage in general/’standard behavior’ with backpack vacuums, but Sherry told our Client Service Director, that she did not say that, and that the member wasn’t home when she was there, but that her husband was. Also, we are green certified and do not use harsh chemicals, ever. We use a barely damp microfiber cloth and nothing more on wood. We have never had a complaint like this in 12 years, we do thousands of cleans every year, and thus we do not feel that we did this damage. That said, again we are happy to involve our insurance company to do a full investigation.
