We made the mistake of hiring Damon to do some subcontractor work for our company, 1200 square-foot San job of walnut flooring, 3/4 of the way through the job I got a sob story about how somebody bounced him a check and he needed money my mistake. I feel bad for his situation and paid him for this job in full before I inspected it. Big mistake. Received a phone call from the homeowner stating that he was not happy with his floor in any way shape or form made an appointment with Damien to meet with us at 12 o’clock noon the following day to go over the floor and discuss with Damien what we needed to do to rectify the situation, first, he said he was going to be an hour to an hour and a half late then he ghosted me for three hours after multiple times of trying to reach him, at 5 o’clock he said he was a half an hour out. We were at the job until eight and he still no showed and no called. therefore, we were forced to try to rectify the situation ourselves and we spent over nine hours trying to fix this project for my homeowner without having to do an additional complete and total sand job, unfortunately, this floor was so shotgunned not sand in between coats and not filled in any way shape or form so the repair that we tried to do was not adequate and homeowner is still not happy. I have demanded the money back from Damien to no avail. Neither we nor the homeowner at this point what Damien back on this project how ever we have to do a complete and total sand job to repair Damiens, horrible work if the homeowner will be gracious enough to give us another opportunity to fix his floor due to Damien’s terrible job. BEWARE!!!

Terrible experience!

Terrible. Sloppy, messy work. Rails completely not to code, uneven, not well done. Bullied me into giving him almost all the money before the job was done, and never showed up again. I have to redo the whole thing. Will be taking him to court. Save yourself the money and aggravation.

Damien Gunn, Hardwood Hero Company, TOOK a 537.00 material deposit from me for a 525 sq wood floor refinshing project including sanding and a poly finish. He stated he would start the job in 3 days.. I NEVER SAW HIM AGAIN. I lost 537.00 which was devastating for me as I just bought my first home.
