CONTEMPORARY CONCRETE

They asked for 50% down for the job quoted back in June 2018. Then it was delayed due to getting a sprinkler moved. They had issues getting me rescheduled. After 2 months I decided to cancel the job and after countless # of calls and texts I still have not received the refund.

My husband spoke to several contractors before hiring Jeremiah. The agreement was that we would get a structural engineer to make sure the patio would hold the weight of the material that Jeremiah was putting down. The structural engineer told us we were putting on less weight than we had on there before. Then my husband prepped the floor with OSB subfloor so that Jeremiah had a clean slate to work on. A professional framer helped my husband prep the floor & walls. Jeremiah didn't seal the cracks in the floor or the walls. When questioned about it, he said he thought he put something on seams on the walls, but not to worry because the microtopping would be "bullet proof". At the beginning, Jeremiah would come over the day he said he would, but he or his workers were never ready to work. Jeremiah would come over to see what supplies he needed for that day, even if I called him the night before to let him know where we were at. He would send his workers over & they would wait for Jeremiah to come over and end up putting about 2 hrs max of actual work. The walls pretty much started cracking immediately. Jeremiah was applying the microtopping in above 90 degree heat. He then put a small patch job on each crack & continued to color the walls. He then started working on the floor and we told him to put the flooring on thick. I went out there & it looked like liquid. He used different substances on the floor & wall and when we went to do the colors, they ended up clashing. I felt we could live with it, if it was structurally sound, which is what my husband & I both told him. Two days later (after we paid) the floor started cracking. We documented the cracking which started 9/13. My husband called Jeremiah & he said he couldn't help us in the fall, but to call next spring. My husband called and left about 2 weeks worth of messages before Jeremiah called back. Finally after calling my husband back, he basically told us "your floor isn't structurally sound so there is nothing I can do for you". We asked for 1/2 our money back, but he said there was no way he could give us 1/2 our money back, because it wouldn't cover his costs. This was the last time we talked to Jeremiah. We just had a large rain storm, there is flooding in our garage below our patio, which has ruined the drywall and dripping in the doorway. We are doing our research & retaining a lawyer. We trusted him to know how to put his product onto our surface, turns out he didn't have a clue.
