Concrete Doctor

Description of Work: Repaired concrete on driveway and on backyard steps.

Description of Work: In the first part of the job the seams in the driveway were cracked and grass was growing out of the cracks. Ron's crew ground out the seems with a saw and caulked the seams so water would not get in. Preventive maintenance. The driveway is 28 years old and has stood up pretty well. There are other cracks of a similar nature in another part of the driveway that I did not have done. I'm going to watch and see what happens. The cost is about $3.30 per linear foot. I split the cost of 254 linear feet with my neighbor because we share the drive. In the second part of the job a 10 x 10 foot area in my basement was treated. The tech hand ground the imperfections in the surface of the self-leveling concrete and then stained it. He didn't have enough stain the first trip so he had to come back. He put on three coats. Cost $380. I'm happy with the job they did but I will eventually tile that area. I just didn't want the expense right now. A small kerfuffle, I had to talk with Ron about the bill re the driveway because by my measurement we got only 210 linear feet. When I brought this to his attention he corrected the amount without difficulty. I wasn't initially planning to do the driveway but Ron said he has difficulty sending a crew out for less than $400. That seemed a lot to pay for the basement job so I agreed to have a bid on the driveway. I'm not sure I would do this again in this way but I am happy with the work and Ron's professionalism and responsiveness.
