The project was completed three months later than the original estimate. I felt like I was an "assistant project manager," sending them detailed lists of what needed to be done, to supplement their "punch lists" which were so general that workers were not always prepared with all necessary items when they came to the house. They "lost" one of the vanity tops that I had picked out as a remainder in their warehouse, and it was just lucky that I was home when the workers came to install what would have been the wrong top. One subcontractor was quite unprofessional - not arriving at all or arriving late (without any communication) and complaining to me about the company. (The company who was subbed out the work to install a new shower stall was excellent.) Communication in general was not very good. One example - the project manager explained that a worker would not be coming back until after something else was done, but the worker came back the next night before the other task was was done. Another example - there would be a promise that something was going to be done on a certain day in the future, but then I wouldn't hear anything, so I would have to text or call and ask what was happening. There were problems with one sink faucet and the bathtub and shower faucets and spouts, and it took a long time to remedy the problems. They were all nice people, but all their hugs would not persuade me to use them again.
