The sales rep came over and took measurements and promptly sent me an estimate via email. After obtaining three other estimates, I decided to go with this company. After we selected our granite, they fabricated the slabs and was ready for install in about two weeks. On the day of installation, they came over with a crew of about 5 men, as a couple of these granite pieces were very large and heavy and was difficult to get into the kitchen.--As they were laying the heaviest of two pieces down, they cracked the slab in two areas, where the sink cutouts are located. Needless to say, this was very disconcerting to me and I told them I'd like a new slab brought it. They asked to allow them to try and repair the damaged one on the spot and if I was not satisfied, then they would look at bringing in another slab.--A very expensive proposition for them. The foreman explained that while it is not a frequent occurrence, cracks do sometimes happen during transporting and installing granite and they can usually repair it so that the slab is structurally sound and the repair barely noticeable to the eye. I agreed to let them to try with the understanding that I would have final say. The crew injected some special resin into the fractures and reset them. Several days later they sent in a finish specialist (at their expense) to polish the repaired area to match the sheen of the rest of the slab. After that was done, the granite looked perfect. Unless you knew exactly where to look, you would not notice the repair..It looks like a normal "vein" in the pattern of the granite. Additionally, they gave me a 5-year written warranty to cover the repaired area. Normal warranty is 2 years. It's been 4 years since the granite was installed and it still looks perfect. Two years ago, we contracted with them again to install granite in our two upstairs bathrooms. The work on those were perfect.
