Buehler Moving & Storage Co

This move was a complete disaster. I urge everyone not to use Buehler Moving and Storage. They don't know how to run their business, provided terrible customer service when things have gone wrong and generally lack integrity. They didn't ship all of our stuff on our move date. They basically said this happens all the time, That someone else gave them much more inventory than originally scheduled so they thought it was okay not to get all of our stuff onto the truck. After 1+ week of vague responses showing they had no idea where our stuff was, they just continued to say it was on its way. A second delivery date was scheduled 2 1/2 weeks later and here's the kicker: THEY DIDNT DELIVER ALL OF OUR STUFF THE SECOND TIME. They didn't do the job right, didn't complete it, we've lost thousands of dollars worth of stuff, and they have offered nothing. They actually believe this is all okay. I'm writing bad reviews everywhere I can, because this company doesn't deserve to be in business. Consumers need to know not to use Buehler Moving and Storage.

It went well, except they misplaced one of our boxes. But other than that it was fine. They came and packed all our stuff. It was nothing great and nothing too bad. It was OK. They didn't really pack everything very well, but we did most of the packing. I can't say anything really good or anything really bad. They were average. The price was not bad, considering the move that we had.

They went to my off-site storage location and boxed my property that was needed to be packed as well as at my house. I made my own labels, and put my destination address, name, and number on each box to ensure my property wasn't lost. I also asked for a person in authority to bring whatever property was scratched and damaged to my attention before loading. It took a little longer, but it definitely reduced the chances of something wrong happening. The loading and un-loading crew were excellent. They didn't talk down to me, and we're very helpful. The took extra care of my high quality furniture by completely wrapping them like a Christmas present. I would definitely recommend the crew that helped me move.

Although more expensive, we chose Buehler Companies over four other companies based on the knowledge and professionalism of James Stevens, our contact. He was also very understanding and flexible when we had to reschedule due to health issues. On the morning of the move, the scheduler forgot to schedule a crew. We were devestated. A replacement crew arrived in the afternoon, finishing at 8:00 pm. Three of the crew members were friendly but Joel, the crew lead/driver, was rude and condescending, treating us as if we were ignorant and obstructive. Questions or suggestions on our part were met with either silence or a terse answer. The worst problem we had was that Joel held us to different requirements on viewing and inventorying high value items than were originally agreed to with James Stevens. Joel later grudgingly relented after speaking with James. We were shocked at how the crew carried our boxed belongings onto the truck. They would cradle several boxes on their backs and walk down 20 stairs. Sometimes high value and fragile items were perched unsecured on top of these stacks making us extremely nervous. Our belongings were packed onto a rental container box semi rather than a low-riding "belly box" trailer as advertised in their sales brochure. Apparently it was because we were moving during the busy season, but with no upfront explanation we feel this was gross mispresentation. The move might have gone better had we been given more information up front as to what the move process would be like. There was very poor communication between James Stevens, the moving crew and us. We requested a written apology for these problems. This request was ignored. We never even received a phone call. Amazingly only one item was damaged in the move. But our handmade oak desk was dented and scratched during the move. Working with penny-pinching Buehler Claims has been agonizing and we are still awaiting a check even though the settlement was agreed to two months ago. Moving is an inherently stressful process. It was unfortunate that Buehler made it even worse than need be.

Buehler Moving & Storage helped us to move our things across the country. Another agency helped us in unloading. The price charged by Buehler Moving & Storage included the packing and the charges for the move. We felt that the price was in middle or lower-middle price, considering the prices quoted by four other companies we had interviewed. It was okay. We thought their packing was okay. There were few things that were not packed well. There was a bowling ball stuck in the artificial plants, which spoilt the plants. The iron lamp was put in along with the vase, so there were scratches on the vase. The driver was very nice and thorough about inventorying the things. They brought a crew of three people only, for a house that was 3500 square feet, and it took twelve hours to move all the things. The crew wasn?t big enough and that was exhausting in the summer. That was our only complaint. It wasn?t a good situation to end up relocating with a three member crew. The crew sent by Buehler Moving & Storage was very careful, very good and very professional. Nothing was broken while moving out and moving in. They did a great job. The person in-charge of the moving did a great job. We liked them, except for the fact that they didn?t send enough crew members for the job. There is definitely room for improvement. If they can guarantee us a bigger crew, we?ll definitely use Buehler Moving & Storage again.
