if you want your lamp to get lost in the Bermuda Triangle, then look no further than Bonnie Brae! I brought my lamp in, thinking this was a reliable place. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t. Here’s a timeline of the disaster: Day 1: Dropped off my lamp, told it would take one to two days to fix. Confidence level: high. Day 3: Received a call asking what they were supposed to do with the lamp. Red flag? Oh, just the beginning. Day 7 (Morning): Called to check if the lamp was ready. They said they would check and call me back. That call never came. Day 7 (2 PM): Called again. They claimed I had just dropped off my lamp three days ago. I didn’t know time travel was part of their service! When I pointed out their error, they mentioned they might start on Friday. Also, had to reschedule my electrician, costing me extra. Thanks for that. Day 14: Called yet again. Was told they had no clue if they’d started and they would call me when it was done. They refused to give an ETA. Communication clearly isn’t their strong suit, but then again, what is? Day 22: Fed up, I went to the store. The employee greeted me with a smile and said she’d go get my lamp. Excited, I thought it was done. Silly me! It wasn’t even touched. She found it in a matter of seconds, which makes me wonder why she couldn’t tell me previously whether the job had been started or not. No apology. When I asked for an explanation, I was told they are a first-come-first-serve business, and sometimes jobs ahead of mine take longer than anticipated. That may be, but it doesn’t explain or excuse the poor and, at times, glib communication. So here is my glib take… if you enjoy frustration, wasted time, and rescheduling appointments at your own expense, then you’ll feel right at home. I’m off to find a new place that values customer service.
Description of Work: I needed my lamp fixed. They said they would, but they didn’t.

This company is wonderful. Fixed my grandmother’s lamp that wasn’t expensive but had lots of sentimental value to me. They told me how old it was and how it was made.

I walked into the store and - let's just say that the greeting did not give me the warm fuzzies. But I proceeded to the counter any way. I told the woman behind the counter that I needed my lamps repaired. I was quoted a price that silenced me for a moment. I concur with other Angie's List reviews. This place is pricey! At my silence she told me that I could do it myself. While I did appreciate her telling me that, I had to kind-of pry more information out of her. I know nothing about lamps or lamp repair. But I was not given much to go on. She did mention that I could probably find a Youtube video. I wasn't sure that we could do the repair ourselves, but it was a lot less expensive than having them repaired there. So, I nervously purchased the parts. It turned out not to be difficult. My son repaired the lamps with no problem. So, all is well that ends well. I was pleased with the final outcome. I just have to say that I enjoy going into a shop where I'm greeted in a friendly manner, and the needed information is forthcoming and friendly. Great customer service is harder and harder to find. But I still look for it. I would go to this place again, unless I find another lamp repair shop nearby that is trustworthy and friendlier.

When I arrived at the store on a Saturday morning they were doing remodeling the store and had a sign that showed closed with a reference to another business in Greenwood Village. However, they opened the door and let me in to leave my lamp. They stated that due to their remodeling it could be as long as 2 weeks for the repair so I was very happy when they called me on Tuesday. The lamp was an expensive one when purchased 13 years ago so it was worth the $45 repair.
Description of Work: The 3 way switch on the lamp would not work properly and needed to be replaced. Lamp was approx. 13 years old.
