Blueline Inc Landscape Contractors

Blueline was considerably more expensive than the other bids we received. We went with them as Michael, the president, said that they honor their warranties and that they would be around to fix any problems. They had a high degree of professionalism during the installation and performed the landscaping job well and on time. While they were laying the mulch in the flower beds, I asked them why they were not using any material to prevent weeds. Michael told me "that the mulch is going to be so deep that nothing but the plants will grow." In the spring, I noticed several weeds growing in the flower beds so I investigated and found that the muclh was barely covering the dirt. So, I checked our specifications and they said specifically that the mulch depth was to be a settled depth of 3 inches. I subsequently checked the flower beds and found that the settled depth was at best 1 inch. I immediately contacted Blueline to say that the muclh did not meet spec and would like them to add mulch so that it did. I have phoned Blueline 4 times and written a letter and have still not heard back. Our executed contract states that they provide a 1 year warranty which we are will within. Given Blueline was considerably more expensive than other landscape contractors and did not meet the specifications we bpoth agreed to (yet they charged us like they did meet specifcaitions) I am completely dissatisfied. Frankly, they are acting like a normal run of the mill landscaping contractor providing Yugo like service. Unfortuantely, they charge like they are providing Lexus like service.
