Highly recommended. Flat rate based on estimate. About the same as Swingle qoute. I do not remember if the trees had ever been pruned since we came here 20 years ago. Was meticulous in his work. I had on a general idea what a good pruning job would be, but I was still concerned that some amateur would just whack the tree. My choice was the right one. You could tell from the way he approached his work, he knew what he was doing. He would study an area of the tree and then work on it some. Then study some more and go back. There were times when I thought he was finished, and he would see something and go back and work on it. He cleaned up the area perfectly. Mulched the branches on site with a machine in the back of his truck, and swept up every last scrap of wood chips. The tree is now in bloom and looks great. I could not be more pleased.
Description of Work: Pruned apple and cherry trees.

We recently moved into a house with a peach tree. We got so many peaches the year before, the weight broke off some of the branches. They were also hanging over the sidewalk and we decided we should have it properly pruned. We called one other service for an estimate, which was $300. Then we called Artistry and the estimate was half of that. Although we had to wait more than a week before he could do it, Doug personally came out and gave our tree a thorough pruning, and even gave us other maintenance suggestions, even contradictions to what the other guy told us. Doug is a fruit tree expert and a true outdoors guy, seems honest, and he won't overcharge. He is very friendly, although he made some off-color comments/jokes.
Description of Work: Pruning our peach tree.

Doug did a wonderful job. He is a meticulous arborist who looks at each limb of the tree and makes his cutting decisions very carefully in order to make the tree look as good as possible by removing the limbs that are touching the house or other trees, or are not safe. The trees have looked great since his work was completed.
Description of Work: Doug pruned 4 trees in our back garden, a Linden, a May day, a Magnolia and a Fir.
