If you can purchase anywhere else, even for a bit more money, do! Three weeks ago we purchased a kitchen Range, under cabinet microwave and dish washer. The microwave and dishwasher were in stock and delivered in a week. The range was on back order and the promised delivery in 2 weeks (Friday). Well, Friday came and went with no communication from anyone at Appliance Factory. Upon calling them (several times) they stated they were "doing everything" to help us out, which is hard to believe since they wouldn't call us back. After spending 3 days calling them, they finally said delivery would happen a week later. UGH! We had contractors coming in to do more work that required the range to be here, so aside from not having our kitchen for who knows how much longer, we now need to cancel our appointments with other contractors until an unknown date because we can't rely on Appliance Factory to deliver. They have a "Presidents Hotline" I called several times, thinking we might just be dealing with a bad group of sales folks, but not so... Still haven't heard back from anyone on the "Presidents Hotline" either that or nobody in the organization cares. Had I known, I would have spent hundreds more somewhere else. This has been a complete disaster.
Description of Work: Not what the provider did, its what they didn't do. We are still waiting on delivery of our kitchen appliances, hopefully they will come soon. They missed the promised delivery date, and said they are "doing everything thy can" for us, but we can't even get them to call us back. Had I known this was going to be such a terrible experience, I would have spent hundreds of dollars more elsewhere.

This experience has been a nightmare. First, we went to AFW to buy a GE Monogram stove top and downdraft. We gave the sales associate the exact model numbers, which he read back correctly. He then had us view the monitor. They were correct. We paid and arranged for installation. Our daughter let the installer in, and the problems started. The installer called and said that the granite wasn't "straight" and that the downdraft wouldn't sit flat against it. I specifically told him that if there was a problem with the granite cut, to NOT install the downdraft and that I would have the granite guy come out to fix it. He said it would be "fine". When I got home, I saw that he had installed a different stove than the numbers I recited to the salesman (and he had recited back,) that the stove was discolored and scratched, that the downdraft was not parallel with the stove and not centered above the stove, and that the downdraft did not move correctly when going up and down. I immediately checked my receipt and saw that the number on the receipt matched the stove that was installed, which means that the salesman must have changed the numbers to get rid of an older model appliance, since the numbers that I saw and that he recited back to me were CORRECT. I called AFW several times over the next day or two with no response, and finally went to the store on the weekend. I was given numerous phone numbers to call, none of which helped me straighten out exchanging the stove. I went back the following weekend, and sent the salesman photos showing the scratches and discolorations, and he said that he sent them to their GE rep, but that I may have to pay a "restocking" fee of 25% since the stove was used, (I was supposed to go for several weeks without being able to cook because they chose not to handle my issue in a timely manner??) In the mean time, I've noticed that this older model stove often doesn't turn down the heat when you turn down the controls. I haven't heard from the GE rep either. I also contacted Brand Source, which is AFW's installation company, and the managers were at first very conciliatory, stating that they would send someone out to fix the poor installation. The night before he was supposed to come out the tech called and told me I'd have to pay to fix the installation. I told him I would not pay to fix his error, and reminded him that I had told him on the phone that if their was a problem with the granite that he should not install the downdraft and he flat out lied, and said "that never happened." The next day, I called his manager, who had previously said he would make sure it was fixed, said they had to charge me again, because they couldn't send a tech out for half a day without pay. So evidently the technicians work only on what they're paid by the client, which explains why an installation that was supposed to cost $290 cost $475!! I sent him numerous pictures of the installation problems, and he (the manager agreed that he could see it was not centered or placed correctly, but that he would have to speak to "his manager" before he could help me. He said he would call me the next day, which was the day before Thanksgiving.) He did not call, and it has been 6 days. Today I called Brand Source "President's Hotline", which as near as I can tell is nothing but an answering machine, because this is the second time I've called it, and have not yet received a response of any kind. So, AFW sent me the wrong stove, deliberately I believe, and their installation company is incompetent at best, and installed it completely ****-eyed, and will not do anything to correct their error. DO NOT SHOP THERE!!!!

Was sold most of entire kitchen worth of appliances. Most of the stuff currently installed was older and needed to be replaced. Brought the salesman the dimensions we could get. We are not installers. Salesman was all too happy for us to purchase $5000 worth of new appliances but never once advised us to have a pro come and get correct measurements. Fast forward weeks after the purchase. Finally the day before Thanksgiving, the items(minus the microwave) had arrived. Their techs(Brandsource) arrived late in the day and removed all our old appliances. When they tried to install the new, none of them fit. We purchased a cooktop, downdraft, wall cabinet mount microwave and oven and a dishwasher. Not one thing fit. Downdraft was too large for even the cabinets. Cooktop would not fit. Oven would not fit and the dishwasher, the only thing actually installed, was missing brackets, so we could not use it. Everything else was taken back and the poor installers had to reinstall all our old appliances. The installers even indicated that the salesman was wrong for not having them come out first before we even bought anything to get full measurements. When we went back to the store(84th and I-25), the Manager(Nate) virtually refused to help us in returning the appliances for refund(remember, they were never even installed). We asked for his supervisor and he said we could not talk to that person. We asked about their "Presidents Hotline" and he indicated anything going through there would just come back to him. His refusal to help and their completely ridiculous return policy(they want to take 25% for restocking) is enough for me to advise not to go to them for anything.

I met with the store manager regarding the purchase of 4 high end kitchen appliances. Upon receipt of the quote, I researched the prices of the same items on-line and contacted the manager to see if they were negotiable. He claims that the quote was not negotiable since they could not compete with on-line vendors. Since I prefer to do business with local retailers, I visited one of their competitors and although they could not match the on-line vendors prices, they were very close. Their showroom was clean and organized and my salesman was more professional than the two salesman I encountered at Appliance Factory Outlet. After speaking with others about this organization, I am confident I made the right decision.

It turned out very well. They explained what they were doing when they were doing it. They ran into problems with connectors, so we had to get different connectors installed. There were no problems after that. They got everything taken care of. The price seemed a little excessive.

I called Appliance Factory Outlet and scheduled a time/date for a technician to come check our convection microwave oven. On the date of the appointment, nobody arrived or called. I called Appliance Factory and the person I talked with did not have our phone number or name on the list of service calls for the day. About 2 days later someone from Appliance Factory Outlet called and apologized for the error. We rescheduled the appointment. The tech did arrive as scheduled. That was about a week an a half ago. Still waiting for the tech to call and let me know if the part he ordered has arrived so we can schedule a time for hime to come fix the oven.
Description of Work: Technician came to the house and checkked our convection microwave. He was very thorough and explained everything regarding the nature of the problem and how to fix it. He ordered the part. As of today, I have not heard from Appliance Factor Outlet or the tech about the replacement part. So the work is not complete.

I had just bought a house that has a 10 year old Dacor dual fuel range/oven. It would convect bake but not regular bake. I called Appliance Factory and was put in touch with their service comapnay called "Brand Source". They came right out and diagnosed my oven (it was a burned out heating element) and spent time to show me other aspects of my Dacor. He showed me how to fix another issue on my range myself. He ordered the part and returned two days later, on time, to install it. He tested the part, and calibrated the oven temperature setting. Great service experience.

I called on a Wednesday and the person I talked to was very polite and efficient. Unfortunately they were booked for the day and could not send out anyone until Thursday. I quickly debated calling someone else, as my food was getting warm, but decided that maybe being busy was a good sign. I was told I would get a call between 7am and 9am. The call came during that period and the tech said he would arrive between 11am and 12noon. He arrived about 11:15. He quickly diagnosed the two possible problems, described them, and gave me an estimate for both. After opening a panel and checking a part, he declared it was the less expensive problem. He was very efficient in getting the part replaced and made a minimal mess (after having to melt a lot of frost). His attitude and appearance were very professional. My refrigerator was soon working properly again. I would definitely recommend him. It was an unexpected expense, but much less than buying a new refrigerator of the same size and features. One note: the receipt actually says Brand Source Appliance Service and Repair.

Excellent service, quick and to the point. They could have tried to sell me a new one, but were satisfied to fix my unit. I will certainly try to give them my business on purchases in the future.
Description of Work: My microwave failed to work at all. This microwave is about 7 years old and was an expensive model with a convection oven and micro wave. Called several places that told me not to bother trying to fix it as it was not worth the effort. AFO charged $15.00 to diagnose the problem and $52.00 to repair it. It was only a burnt out fuse, but I didn't have the tool to open it, and the manual stressed that there were no parts that could be serviced by the owner. Appliance Factory Outlet diagnosed the problem, called with the cost of repair and fixed it in less than 2 hours. A new microwave of that size, and with the features in this one, would have cost about $400.
