I heard a scratching noise on a basement window and then smelled a horrible odor late at night. Next morning, I found a pile of animal feces in that window well. Stewart arrived right on time on the day of the appointment and set two traps in my back yard. The very next morning, he found a male adult raccoon in one of the traps. Stewart came every morning to check the traps during the period covered by our contract. In 2016, I had even worse raccoon problems in my back yard. Stewart trapped two raccoons and removed several piles of feces. He is highly knowledgeable of wild animals in Colorado, conscientious, pleasant to talk-with. He is the one I'll call if need occurs in the future.

Stewart handled a tough situation very humanely. We had a juvenile raccoon stuck in a tree, and didn't feel prepared to deal with that on our own. Freeing him from the tight branches was no easy task, and it turned out the leg was broken and the poor little guy had to be euthanized. Having worked with him previously on squirrel trapping at our house, I knew Stewart would take good care of the animals, and that is the reason we came back to work with him.

Stewart was very helpful and wasted no time finding the dead mice in our wall. He removed the dead mice and even patched up the area so it almost looks like nothing happened! Also spent some time discussing with us how they may have entered the house and gave some prevention ideas.

Stewart did a great job and since he didn't find any evidence of bats staying at our house there was no charge.
Description of Work: Stewart came out after we found bat poop in our house after coming home from vacation. He did a comprehensive inspection of the whole house and attic, inside and out, finding no evidence of bats. He figured the bat came in and out through the chimney. Now we keep the flu closed in the summer.

It went well. Two weeks of squirrel trapping, then the holes in the eaves of the roof were patched with metal flashing, to prevent them from getting back in. The metal flashing was painted the same color as the wood, so it doesn't look too bad. Actually repairing the wood damage would be a bit of a renovation project (particularly on old homes like ours).

Stewart was great, and explained the entire process on how he would trap the squirrels, and secure the house to ensure more did not take the place of the family who had taken up residence in our attic. He did the trapping as well as adding flashing to a section of our roof that did not have it, and secured 3 chimneys on our roof. He was very communicative throughout the process. I hope we don't have any reoccurrences, but would certainly recommend him to others!

Stewart answered my phone call on September 27 and gave me an appointment for September 29 between 3 and 4 p.m. He called me 30 minutes before he arrived, right on time at 3:20 p.m. as he said he would; very punctual! He is very knowledgeable about wild animals in Colorado, pleasant to talk with and he is a very conscientious worker. I contracted him for the first two weeks for $349 with senior discount and a one-week extension for additional $100. He set two traps, came every weekday morning to check the traps and replenish bait. He trapped two raccoons during the three week period. He did a great job removing about 4 large piles of feces. He completed the contract on 11/1/2016. I will definitely hire him again.

We were very impressed with Stuart from the get-go. Having read all the reviews, we had high expectations and he met or exceeded them all. He was prompt, polite, professional, knowledgeable and has great customer service skills. If we have need for critter removal in the future, I wouldn't use anyone else and would highly recommend him.
Description of Work: Stuart set traps for squirrels on our roof and came out everyday for 2 weeks and checked/ and or emptied the traps. He also put written daily updates in the door so we knew he was there and how many squirrels he had caught. After 3 weeks of trapping the squirrels, he blocked all potential entry points for the squirrels with metal flashing that he custom manufactured.

William was most excellent start to finish! He explained the entire process, explained why the metal screening I put under the fence did not work. Baited and set two live traps. William would come by to inspect the traps every morning, calling me 30 minutes before every time. When the traps caught the skunks, he offered to take pictures. After he caught the two skunks, he continued to check the traps for activity. The skunk issue was resolved.

Stuart did a full inspection of the unfinished attic, crawling up there and being careful not to step between the joists. He confirmed that it was squirrels and not raccoons and identified the entry points. He then provided the estimate for both the animal trapping/removal (a flat fee regardless of the number of animals trapped) and the work for sealing the entry point (there was only one identified in our case). His flat fee estimate was higher than that of a competitor we talked to, but he had no per animal charge as the other one did. With 6 squirrels trapped in our case, we saved money with Stuart. After we accepted the estimate, he set traps at a likely squirrel path to the entry point. He returned every day to check the traps and left a note as to what he found. On weekends, he baited the traps but left them unset to entice the squirrels to come back during the week. After about 12 days of trapping, he was confident that all squirrels living in the attic had been removed, and we agreed since we had heard no more noises from there. He then sealed the entry point with flashing. Stuart was very personable and was obviously very caring about the animals. He seems to have many years of experience with a variety of animals. He guarantees his work and told us to contact him if we found any signs of squirrels in the attic again. We would definitely recommend Stuart to others and would use him again if needed.
Description of Work: Stuart trapped and removed 6 squirrels inhabiting our attic and sealed the entry point once the animals were removed. After an initial inspection, he guaranteed that he would get them out of the attic and would seal it once they were removed. He trapped the animals alive and released them 5-10 miles away (the legal Colorado distance).

We can't say enough good things about Stuart and the work he did for us. We called him to get an estimate for rabbit removal and also help us identify a solution to what had become an on-going problem. He showed up when he said he would and carefully explored the issue we were having. He said that he could capture the rabbits and relocate them, but also said he could insure that the problem would not reoccur. His solution was to trench around the deck and install hardware cloth about 12and quot; below ground level so that the rabbits could not tunnel under the hardware cloth. He went the further step to add concrete in the areas where the deck supports were poured as those areas did not lend themselves to trenching. It is unusual to have a business guarantee their work for more than the normal 90 days. Stuart definitely stands behind the work he does and told us that we could call if we ever had the problem again. We would recommend Animal Control Specialist without any hesitation. In fact, we already recommended him to our neighbors. As this is a single person operation, it may take a while to get on the schedule, but my advice is to wait to use this company.
Description of Work: Rabbits had taken up residence under our ground level deck. We needed someone to come and humanely remove the rabbits and help us find a solution so that the problem would not continue.

Stuart is a dying breed in his industry- honest, smart, dependable and genuinely loves animals. I called him at my wit's end, on the recommendation of my pest control company, to help identify the root cause of persistent snake problems inside and outside of my house. He came out immediately and set 5 very elaborate traps over several snake holes that we found under our front entry way. He returned every single day for 14 days to check the traps and the property generally. Always with a smile, and extremely friendly - he worked the problem until he was confident we had solved the problem. I was a wreck when I first called, really upset and not able to enjoy being in my own home. He solved my problem and I grew to really like him as a person. Can't recommend him highly enough. Thanks again Stuart!

There must have been one mouse left in the house, because I trapped one the next day. But since then, with 6 different traps that would have mice trapped daily, now I have not trapped one more mouse. Not one! Plus the aluminum flashing job looks very professional. We were provided photos because it was a hard place to access.

Stewart removed a bunch of bats living in our roof. It was a huge project, taking place over a 3 week period. The building is an old church, presenting it's own complications and issues. Not an easy job at all. I would go into further detail, but Stewart delivered on his quote (down to the dollar), sealed the property to prevent future infiltration by other pests, and did a great job with the cleanup. And, he's extremely punctual and easy to work with. A few months later, we noticed some planking that had come loose high up in the building presenting a possible safety hazard. Stewart came out the next day and removed it. No charge. Can't say enough great things.

I had what I considered to be quite an urgent situation. I could hear chewing from inside my house. Stu called me back on that Sunday and came out first thing and gave me a proposal. His price was less than half of a competitor who also came out and bid the same work. Stu was friendly, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He was ready to extract whatever was in and/or around my house and then prevent them from ever getting in again and that's exactly what he did. He worked quickly, and was very punctual and very communicative both on email and phone. I wanted to procure my own steel mesh product, and he advised me on exactly what to look for. No doubt I would use Stu again for any critter situation. He hails from Atlanta which is a jungle compared to Colorado re. critters. Whatever you got, Stu can handle it.

The entire experience was so very positive. Not only is he good at what he does, keeps at it till the issue is resolved and does so humanely as it SHOULD be done, but he is also extremely knowledgeable, kind and goes above and beyond to ***** the entire issue. As an example, I had another company come in at first to ***** and give me estimates. I they charged me for assessing. I wasn't impressed and wasn't even sure they would follow legal guidelines of bird removal based on their answers to my questions. Mind you, they are out of Georgia and have offices all over, their Costs are exorbitant, with unnecessary work added to "ensure" a warranty. With Stewart I had the utmost confidence from the moment I spoke with him regarding his approach. In addition to solving my issue he also solved other unrelated issues, that's just how he rolls. If you are looking for someone who is reasonably priced , knows what they're doing, will follow through in your best interest as well as the critter involved- look no further Finally, he is extremely responsive, timely , professional and very good at what he does.
Description of Work: Stewart came in the late spring to ***** the bird situation in my attic I had just Disco reed. He Did a very thorough inspection , at no cost. Stewart waited until nesting was completed and babies flew out. He then filled the holes (many of them) repaired the damage and put up netting recently to deter any flickers from returning .

It was a very positive experience. Stewart was professional, quick to respond to my call, respectful of our house, and was able to determine the best way to extract the vole with the minimum amount of damage to the house. He seems to love his job, and is very knowledgeable about wildlife and appreciates their unique characteristics. He was able to identify the possible entry spot on our roof and we will having him return to fix it. Call him if you have unwanted critters in your house!

Really excellent experience all around. Stewart was friendly, courteous and highly professional. He understood the animals, was very efficient and effective at trapping and removing them, but also cared deeply for their welfare. No just no-kill, but released the mother and found people to care for the pups. The first visit he found the mother and pups and he said it would probably take a week to complete the removal - all included in the $249 fee. First he tried leaving a rag soaked in coyote urine nearby to encourage them to leave on their own. Next day he set traps for the mother, caught her the first night and removed her the next morning, along with 3 pups. Next day he came back again and thoroughly checked for any pups he'd missed (he found one more) and removed it. Meanwhile he left the traps in place for two more nights just in case there were other critters around. He clearly understood the animals, their habits and needs, identified how it was getting on the roof and into the attic. For an additional $129 he built a very discrete barrier around the attic fan louvres to stop anything getting in that way again. He even painted it to match the house. I can't recommend him highly enough and will certainly use him again next time there's a problem.

Stewart was prompt, timely, courteous, trustworthy and professional. After the outside trapping was complete, access blocked and he had to set traps in the crawl space, he always called before coming out to let me know. .I really appreciated him alerting me to a possible structural problem instead of simply blocking the access - and a few years from now me having another rabbit problem and a bigger foundation issue. He worked cooperatively with the contractor we had to hire to do the actually work to correct the issue (which he included landscape removal, regrading, resloping, etc. - all out of Stewart's line of work.) I would definitely recommend Stewart.
Description of Work: I thought we had mildew in our crawl space - but no, it was rabbit droppings and urine. So I called Animal Control Specialists because they humanely trap and release the animals elsewhere. Stewart, the owner, came out that very day ,confirmed the presence of rabbits and found their entry. He usually does the work to block their access but the thought I might have a foundation issue and recommended I contact a structural engineer, which I did. That made the closing off of the access much more complicated, so I did hire a landscape contractor to do that work. Meanwhile, Stewart set about trapping the rabbits, checking the traps daily. When it seemed that there were no more rabbits, he then came out and removed all the urine/feces covered lining from the crawl space and relined it for us.
