Americo Fence Co

We have a three-year old house with a fence that was installed by the contractor. We noticed that it rocked easily, so we needed to get it repaired. Based on the Angie's List reviews, we wanted no one other than Marco to handle the job. When we called, Marco was responsive and although we told Marco that it was more important for us to get the job done right than to get it done quickly, he said he would come over within a few days and check it out. He inspected the fence and said that some of the posts had been installed improperly. He said he would have to replace four of the posts. He gave us an estimate and we gave him a 50% deposit. In less than a week, Marco and his crew showed up and took care of the work. The materials seem to be of high quality, and they left no debris behind. The fence now seems to be quite firmly installed and we're very pleased. If we needed fence repairs, replacement or installation, we would strongly recommend Marco.

They were excellent. Their price was excellent. The quality of their work is so far so good.

Great- they were on time and only charged $ 60 to haul off the old fence. Quote and finished price were exactly the same. They had variety of pictures of their work . Their work was 300 less than another quote I had for same work and the other company was going to charge 150 for delivery and haul off!

Marco answered my initial call right away, and came out for an estimate on the same day. He was professional, polite, and knowledgeable. He suggested the use of metal posts on one section of the fence, which helped to solve a mild dispute with my next door neighbor. The work was finished in one day, which was surprising considering the size of the job. The fence is sturdy, beautiful, and very well built, and the gate is solid and works perfectly, even though it is on a slope. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the work. Marco should be commended for his work ethic and excellent craftsmanship.

I had to leave two phone messages and sent an email over the course of five days before I got a response. Although Marco and Americo Fence had superb reviews on Angie's List, I chose to go with someone else. Marco's bid and overall presentation was great, but the response time gave me doubts. However, had I not received superior customer service from a competitor I probably would have settled on Americo's proposal.

Marco came to give me an estimate providing thick binder with pictures of past work so I could choose the type of fence I wanted, and I could appreciate his skills. I was imporessed with his past work and with the quality materials he uses as I compared bids for this job. He communicated well every step of the process and he showed up and completed the work on time. He worked efficiently and with an eye for detail as he marked the fence line, set the posts and completed the framing for the fence boards. It turned out beautiful. He was careful with my perennials and even moved one plant, taking care to replant it and water it as I was physically unable. Marco is a careful worker who displays pride in his work. I am very pleased and highly recommend him.

I was very happy how easy it was to work with Americo Fence Co., from getting an estimate through the install and clean-up. Marco provided a detailed written estimate so I could submit the plans to my HOA. He was also great about scheduling the project and arrived exactly when promised. Marco said the install would take a day, and it did. The fence & gate turned out terrific, and they did a great job cleaning up the area when they were finished.

The job went very well, better than expected, Marco did everything he said he would, plus some, they even had to remove part of a tree, and they hauled it off, they were very very effecient in all ways, and alway respectful, I would highly recommend Americo Fence Co, you will not be disappointed...

Marco was prompt and finished the project as scheduled. His work was exceptional and his quote was very reasonable. He brought photos of his previous work that helped in selecting the new fencing.

The whole experience was wonderful. He came out at a time I could meet him, near the end of his day so I could get home from work. He explained what needed fixing and how much it would cost. I share my backyard with many people and he separated out each section that was shared with another neighbor so I could go and try to split costs with them. This was very convenient to me and helped be able to share the cost of the job. I had a few other estimates done and he came in at half the price of one other contractor. I was worried by this initially but felt better after I read more of the reviews on Angie's list. Marco said that they would need 2 days to complete. Once I chose him, he came out on the day scheduled while I was at work and him and his crew finished the job the same day. In fact they were gone by the time I came home. He had called earlier and told me they finished and we scheduled a time for him to come back that night and settle up and go over the work. He walked the fence with me and explained everything they did. They even repaired a few slats on another section previously undiscussed. I was impressed and we are very happy and have happy neighbors as well. Thank you Marco and co.

A+!! This is one of those rare contractors that I will go out of my way to tell all my friends and neighbors about! Marco was extremely prompt, professional, and easy to work with. The fence is top quality - from the materials used to the straight, level installation. Marco was careful to make sure there were no gaps through which my small dogs could escape under the fence.

Marco and his partner did a very nice job on the fence. The work was done efficiently with minimal impact on plants in the xeriscape area bordering the back fence). It took a little effort to get the appointment times finalized (phone tag), but I'm very pleased with the final product, and the cost was quite reasonable, especially with the Angie's List discount on the gate. Americo's staff are conscientious and agreeable to work with.

Timely response with quotation. Competitive price (slightly lower than the second lowest of three quotes). Arrived at jobsite as scheduled. Excellant quality materials (lumber and gate hardware). High quality installation with particular attention alignment and dimensions. Completed in two working days. Very good jobsite cleanup. Good communication with suggestions of details, where fence tied into residence, to improve appearance. After the contract was signed I did add to the "scope of work" (two additional fence posts installed). This was handled for what I felt was a very fair additional cost

He gave a bid to do long length of fence (best way) but also a less expensive option (which we chose). Very courteous on the phone. Came within 2 days to perform the job.

Marco responded to my phone call immediately and was able to come out and provide an estimate the very same day. He took all of my needs into consideration, quickly measured the property while I looked through his massive photo album at all the different jobs he has done - an impressive array of different fence styles, terrains and materials! Because of my corner lot and unique requirements, he was happy to oblige my request to "take this style from this photo, but add that decorative element from that photo" while also stepping down the fence height to accommodate zoning requirements, etc. Red Cedar was my chosen material. After pricing several other fence companies (which aren't too easy to find, by the way) I was impressed with Marco's written proposal. His professionalism, attention to my needs and on-the-spot calculations let me know he was giving me an honest bid. After a week or so, I obtained the necessary permit from the city and easily scheduled the install with Americo. In fact, I was concerned that guests coming to a party at my home later in the week would see a construction zone and wondered if I should postpone until the following week. Marco assured me the project would be finished. Marco and his assistant arrived promptly on Friday morning at 10 am as scheduled. We quickly went over all the details again and he also accommodated my late request to install a wooden-post planter box in my yard, as well. When I returned from work on Friday night, all the fence posts had been set into concrete, and a good start had been made on the cross beams and pickets - and impressively, the area was clean and tidy. Saturday morning the pair returned and got started right away. Sure enough, the entire job was finished and cleaned up by 2pm - and my guests enjoyed a beautiful, private back yard the same evening. I gladly agreed to let Marco place a small placard on the corner of the finished project with "Americo Fence" and their phone number. It was so helpful to read the positive recommendations for Americo here on Angie's List. This company absolutely lived up to their A+ grades! I highly recommend them and would hire them again in a second!

Marco did a fantastic job. Unique to our project was the involvement of multiple neighbors. Marco navigated everyone's desires in a professional manner. He was patient and super amenable. His finished product is sturdy, straight and looks great!

We moved in in March, and we had some bad winds in May/June. The old fence was bad quality and a few sections had fallen off. We decided to replace the whole fence. After getting a few quotes (with the help of Angie's List), we decided on Marco, who came in significantly cheaper than the competition, while seeming more professional. Marco was a pleasure to work with. I am amazed at how fast he and his team were able to complete this job; I'm certain it would have taken me weeks to do it myself. We had 150' of fence put in - the job was completed in two days. On the first day, the old fence was removed in the first couple of hours. Fence posts went in for the remainder of the first day. On the second day, most of the time was spent putting up the rails and framing things up. Putting the boards up was an hour or two. Marco also built two gates for us. He finished the fence with a cap and fascia, and we really love the way that looks. As someone who would have said 'I'll do it myself and save some money', I'm really glad I didn't. I wouldn't have had the same quality and it would have dragged on for weeks. Highly recommended.

Americo Fencing did an excellent job and was able to remove an existing fence and install the new privacy fence in the same day, which was critical because of pets that needed to be contained while the work was going on. They showed up a little late to do the job but called and let us know, and still stayed and completed the job in one day, as requested. Everything was cleaned up afterwards and there were no problems during the actual installation. I would most definitely recommend them to someone else!

Marco was very professional and made sure we understood the services he would provide. When he arrived to install the fencing, he discussed with us the options available to us, such as how we wanted the gates to open. He was detailed in his questions, so there were absolutely no surprises as the day progressed. The fences/gates look great! We were at a neighborhood party after the fences were installed, and several neighbors said how much they liked the new fence. Before, we didn't have a working gate to the alley and the other was a wreck. Now it is such a treat to have functioning gates and a great looking fence! We highly recommend Americo and would not hesitate to use them again.

We were pleased with Marco's straightforward bidding process. He came exactly when promised, was flexible in working with us, and probably most importantly the fence looks great. The gates swing open and latch with a wonderful precision. We are pleased with this Angie's list find.

We called Americo Fence to get a bid for the work and Marco got to our house within a day or two to measure and discuss the job. He was easy to talk to, understood just what we wanted, had some good ideas for the odd shape of the areas where the gates would go, showed us pictures of other jobs he'd done to give us an idea of how ours would look, and provided a written bid right on the spot. We got two other bids, both a little less than Marco's, but I didn't trust that the price wouldn't change, because neither of those two provided a written bid, nor did they show us photos of what they would be doing. Marco's professionalism and knowledge made it an easy choice to go with him and we're very glad we did. We were able to get the work scheduled for within a week of when he gave us the bid. Marco was on time and immediately got to work. He did the job by himself and it's clear he has lots of experience, skill, and knowledge. The gates and surrounding fence face the street, so the aesthetics matter. Marco's attention to detail and craftsmanship made this a beautiful addition to our house, not just something functional. He ingeniuosly solved the problem of a slope and the result is amazing. He used high-quality materials, worked efficiently, gave us good advice, cleaned up thoroughly, and hauled away the old fence materials. He's also a nice guy and that's another big plus. We couldn't be happier - it's more than we hoped for - and we highly recommend Marco to do fence work.

Responded quickly to my voice mail message - helped me figure that I could repair some fence - didn't need to replace it (saved me heaps!) and then built a lovely complicated wooden fence - came on time - worked really hard (such hard soil!) finished and clean-up. Great company!

We are so pleased with the appearance and construction of our new fences and gates. They are well-constructed using a high grade of lumber. Marco and his co-worker are efficient, experienced and strive to make their customers happy. When they needed to move a fence post due to a miscommunication, they did so without complaint. They are a good value for your money.
