From start to finish we were extremely satisfied with the work and customer service and would use them again! The price was very reasonable. One of the rooms was a child's room with wallpaper that had been scrapped off and the walls were a wreck. You would never know it now. The walls all look beautiful.

They were excellent and it was a 2 type color. I haven't had any problem.

It worked out well. Their paint selection was great, but I wanted to use the paint I already had. Their prep was great!

They called me before the service date. They worked around my business schedule since I work at home. They arrived on time. There were two people on the job. They were both very nice and professional. They made sure that the stairs and doors were covered. They also provided little extras. I would use this company again and recommend them to anyone needing service.

Two painters arrived on time as scheduled. They covered all vulnerable surfaces, i.e. furniture, walls, chandelier and carpet. Performed the work described above. Cleaned up everything and there was no residue or damage to the light beige carpet or anything. This job was accomplished in approximately seven hours, very efficient. In addition to their excellent job performance, they were very pleasant and accommodating. I will use their surfaces again and I would recommend APS to anybody.

Kevin is great! His attention to detail is evident and he was extremely comfortable with my townhouse which was built back in 1882. His suggestions went above and beyond the other quotes I received and I was particularly impressed with his explanations of the needs for all the built-ins and woodwork in my place. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a quality painter who will go the extra mile...and who has the experience to back his work! Kevin is great at what he does and I will definitely use his company for future painting projects.

I am a very big DIY person, but was overwhelmed on this project. This company was a load of help. It would have taken me at least a week to week and a half to remove the wallpaper in these two rooms. It was not coming off. I tried chemicals, fabric softener and a hand held clothes steamer and wasnt making any progress. I called and was able to have someone come out the very next day. When he only got half the room done the first day (7 hours) I was glad he was able to come back the next day to finish. Professional company, on time, and convienent payment with a CC over the phone. Would definitely recommend.

Process was very smooth. Kevin scheduled an estimate immediately and was there on time. He got his comprehensive bid back to me quickly (several other Angie's List providers did not). He was able to start almost immediately. They had a crew of two (and sometimes 3) painters there for most of three days. They came back several days later to perform a couple of touch ups. It was about as little hassle as you could imagine. I would definitely use them again. Pros: >Quick bid and ability to start quickly (some providers said they couldn't start painting for 6-8 weeks) >Nathan's crew was very responsive. We walked the job initially and told him our priorities. They listened and got my daughter's room done in a day so we could move her back in. >They used high quality Benjamin Moore paint. >They cleaned up very well at the end of each day and were very good about calling regularly to make sure there were no issues. >They came back almost immediately to do touch up where we had identified areas needing additional paint. >Price was very competitive. We got four bids, and they were neither the highest nor the lowest. Cons: The only con I can report is that they painted around one ceiling light fixture instead of removing it and painting under it. They did the same thing around one switch plate. Neither is that big of a deal, but I would tell you to remind the crews to remove those things before painting. I can recommend them without reservation and will definitely use them again in the near future.

They were very accomodating to our schedules and finished everything in about 7 hours give or take. They took time making sure that the ugly wall paper was gone. When it came time to painting they really went above and beyond. We did not expect the ceiling to be painted but when we got home they had made it sparkle. Also there was some water damage to the wall behind the sink and they repaired that and re-calked the sapce. All around great service, affordable and timely, Thank you American Painting Specialists

When Kevin arrived to give us our estimate, he was very professional, courteous, and thorough. His estimate was competetive and even a little lower than than the others. When the painters arrived, they listened to our specific concerns, and were very professional, conscientious, and tidy. They did an excellent job. After they finished, they asked us if there was anything we saw that was not to our satisfaction, and they cheerfully touched those areas up. We are so pleased with the newly painted rooms. We would definitely recommend American Painting Specialists and use their services again.

I am uncertain of the exact date of service and have just entered an approximation. This was a very small job that should have been easily completed in one day. Unfortunately, the painter arrived late the first day and had to come back a second day to finish the job. Strike one. The two colors to be used on the job were cream/almond and dark brown. The painter brought 1 gallon of each. The color on the front door was dark brown, and I wanted it to be painted the cream/almond color. Instead of buying/using primer, the painter tried to cover the dark brown color by using 3 coats of the cream/almond paint. The result was okay at best with very visible brush strokes. Strike two. Since he apparently used so much of the cream/almond paint on the front door, the painter ran low when it came time for the shed. So when he came back the next day to paint the shed, he not only cut the paint with water to extend the quantity, but he painted AROUND the small plants along the front of the shed. We're talking very soft/pliable plants, maybe 15-20" high that could easily have been covered with a tarp to move them completely away from the shed. But, instead, I still have an outline of them on the shed to remind me of the poor paint job. Strike three. This job was done a few years ago, so there has certainly been enough time for improvement in the quality of work that American Painting Specialists performs. Have they improved? After three strikes on one job, I wouldn't know.

Their detail work was not up to par. They only painted part of the window so that when the window was open, one could see its old paint job.

Everything was fantastic, and they did the best job that I have ever seen in 43 years in the construction business.

They were too expensive. They are probably a good company but they were more expensive than we wanted. They were very professional.

His employee Nathan did a fantastic job of carefully attending to details and avoiding painting into the wrong places. They taped everything first and tested color before starting. The finished job looked neat and professional. They were all (office, Kevin Getz, Nathan and other painters) customer-oriented and pleasant to talk to.

They came out, and we showed them what colors we wanted, and what we wanted them to do. They brought ladders, and all the necessary equipment to do the project. They did really well, and we were pleased with the end results.

They have explained everything to us really well. They listened to what we wanted, and the results were just fine. They seemed to know what they were doing, and cleaned up after themselves. They were really professional.

Dissatisfied with the work and services. The owner was great but they guy who did the work was very sloppy and streaky and I called them several times to come fix it, they did come out but it didn't get the job done. The paint is now chipping off.

Power washed prior to painting and put down drop cloth before hand. Overall did a wonderful job. No clean up for me.
