See above. Of note, after calling the office staff of this plumber a number of times within the course of a couple days, they couldn't remember who I was or what the job was, or ANY details even though I spoke with the SAME woman several times. I was horribly disappointed both by my warranty (which I plan to cancel) and by this plumber--I would NEVER recommend this company.
Description of Work: Contracted through my home warranty company, American Home Shield. Allstate was contacted to address a broken water heater--it was leaking all over the floor in my condo. It took the company more than 24 hours to come to the condo. According to my tenant, he was rude & he smelled badly. He did not call in to American Home Shield until the NEXT DAY to get the work approved. Once it was approved, the work required that a drain be added to the floor in order to get the building to code. The home warranty would not cover this and though I offered to pay for it myself, he REFUSED to do the work. The office staff was rude to me on the phone as well. I had to find a different plumber to perform the work. What a horrible experience.

We called American Home Shield (our warranty company) because the washer overflows the drain every time it runs, and because we needed the shut off valve on the master bedroom toilet replaced (it had broken off just inside the wall). When the tech, Dave, arrived, he told me that I would need to remove the toilet for him to get to the broken pipe. He said that he could do it, but he would have to charge us for it, that it wasn't covered under the warranty. AHS later told us that it would absolutely have been covered. When he left, that repair was unfinished. We also had him look at the drain that the washer drains into because it overflows every time we run the washer. He said the drain was clogged and started to unclog it, while explaining to me that unclogging it wouldn't actually fix the issue, which was that the pipe itself was too small. I asked him if that wasn't covered by the warranty repair. He said it was, but he didn't do pipe. I believe the only reason he worked on the clogged drain was so that he could charge us the $75 warranty fee. When we called the Allstate Plumbing office, they said of course they re-pipe. Dave also mentioned a few times that he "used to be a plumber", indicating that he no longer is. Why he is employed by a plumbing company is a mystery to me. We called the Allstate Plumbing office and asked to speak with a supervisor and were told one would call me back. They had all day Friday to return that call, and still haven't. The tech they sent wasn't a plumber, didn't actually resolve any of the issues he was sent out to resolve, charged us anyway, and now the supervisor isn't returning our calls. This was a completely disastrous experience, with a horribly company. Don't go to them for anything!

This plumber was sent to me through my American Home Shield home warranty. I paid a $75 co pay. He installed a sub standard, used garbage disposal after determining that mine needed to be replaced. Four months after the installation the disposer completely died. When I called them they told me there was nothing they could do. They would not stand by their work, or the disposer that was installed. I should have been suspicious when they did not provide me with any warranty information on the disposer they installed. Being a trusting person, I did not push for additional info. I would never recommend this company to anyone!
Description of Work: Replaced a garbage disposer.

Arrived on time & right to work. Had it fixed in 45 minutes even with removing the toilet to fix the hardware underneath. No leaks & no mess ... just the way I wanted it. The $75 price is a deductible as the supplier was provided by my home repair insurance with American Home Shield. For the second visit: Good technician, went right to the problem & provided clear instructions for future use. Recently had a new gas line installed but when system was closed it was not purged of air & that usage blew out the pilot light. Old heater so re-light flame position is important to get pilot re-lighted. Works good since. This supplier was selected by my home repair insurance provider American Home Shield. So far that service works well. I called at 5am & had the tech show up at 1pm same day.
Description of Work: Master bath toilet loose from floor. Second visit was for Water Heater pilot went out & will not re-light.

He was very professional and timely. This was one of those deals, I think it was 2 hours of service for one price. After the main shut off was replaced, he said the sprinkler shut off was fine (I still had time left on the 2 hours). I never thought anything about it until my water bill kept getting bigger and bigger. Turns out the sprinkler shut off was still leaking. I had another company come out and replace it.

I spoke with the owner of the company before the employee came out, and I was assured that when the plumber arrived he would look over everything that needed to be done and be given an estimate before the two hours I paid for would start. In the end, he gave very little, if any constructive input, and no prices or estimates were given at all. No jobs were completed or repairs were done either, but they still redeemed the Big Deal we paid for, but instead, the plumber said we needed a $300 part for the toilet.
Description of Work: We purchased a Big Deal from this company and we had few jobs we wanted them to take care of including re-hooking up a faucet in the bathroom, unclogging the drain in the same bathroom, putting in new internal parts for a toilet, an estimate for hooking up a gas line to the fireplace, and the knobs on our bathtub was turning around and around without stopping.

They were on time. They looked at the problem and talked about a couple of options. One of them was to just try and fix the leak right there. The other was to possibly try to take it out and put in a whole new unit. They ended up not having to do that because the problem wasn't that bad. They replaced the kitchen faucet pretty quickly. It went very smoothly. They did a good job. They were very nice and thorough. We used one of the Angie’s List coupons. It was $89 for two hours.

I was very satisfied with the work and really liked the cheerful, professional plumber who came to my house.
Description of Work: Allstate's plumber arrived promptly and was very professional. Even though my job was way beyond the scope of my "Big Deal" coupon he honored the coupon and didn't charge more (Replacing a faucet turned out to involve updating plumbing below the sink and fixing the drain). I immediately booked another appointment to replace another faucet and, while this one didn't involve a coupon was less complicated, the charges were very reasonable.

The technician was very friendly, but almost a little too chatty. I do appreciate that he was very thorough in explaining things and upfront. I think he did a good job in resolving most of our issues. However, we still have an issue with the odor in our bathroom.

I purchased the Angie's List Big Deal for these plumbing services. I got more than my money's worth. He was on time, efficient, professional and very friendly. I will definitely be using them again when I need plumbing services. If I could give an A+, they definitely earned it.

I went through my warranty company to them and so I had a coupe and did not have to pay anything else. I checked them on Angie’s list when I got to know that I had to use this company through my warranty. They were on time, personable, and answered all my questions. They repaired what I needed to be fixed. They told me that if there were any issues they will come back. They were great. The technician who did the job was also very good.

We didn't have a choice in the plumber hired to replace our water heater as everything was handled by our home warranty company, but I am extremely pleased with ASP’s responsiveness and their work. Richard contacted me within 24 hours of receiving the work order from our home warranty company and he had a plumber at our house the very next day. Ricardo (not Richard – different guys) arrived within the two hour time frame I was provided. He was courteous, friendly and professional. He really knew what he was doing and took the extra time to explain to me what would be needed to replace our 23 year old water heater. We made arrangements for him to return to the house to replace the water heater the following Saturday. Again, Ricardo arrived within the time frame provided and took extra care not to damage our walls as he maneuvered the 50 gallon water heater around tight corners and down the stairwell to the basement utility room. He cleaned up when the job was complete and even hauled off the old water heater for us. I highly recommend ASP and will absolutely use them for all my future plumbing needs!
