He did a good job. He kept trying to get both fixtures to work. Suggested in future to consider usxing 2-4' T8 shop lights with A 6' 1200 cord so can just plug in.

They were great. They spent a lot of time answering questions that weren't directly associated with the Big Deal. They were working outside in 10 degree weather, which I really appreciated.

He was prompt, spent almost an hour examining and servicing the electrical box. No rework was needed. He was thorough in explaining to me the problems and possible solutions.

Mark originally came to my house to work on the front porch light at the end of October. After checking all of the connections both in the actual fixture and in the switch, he located a loose connection, tightened it, and the light appeared to be fixed. About 6 weeks later, the same problem recurred. At no additional charge, Mark came back out, changed out the actual switch, and the light is again working. Mark left with the guarantee that he would return again and perform additional troubleshooting if I had any future problems. I appreciate Allstar's prompt and courteous attention to my request, and the follow-up service I received. I will have no problem using them again in the future and recommending them to others.

We had been experiencing loss a of power to part of one room that would go on and off periodically without being able to find the cause. We called Allstar Electric thinking we might have a bad circuit breaker in the main panel and scheduled a service call within 24 hours. Chris called ahead the day he was coming to confirm the appointment, arrived on time and was very knowledgeable and professional. He explained everything he was doing as he first checked all the breakers and then had to trace some of the old wiring between the junction boxes and receptacles to look for a short. He had to install a couple new boxes and run some new wire to solve the problem, He also rewired a 3-way switch and outlet that was done incorrectly by someone else many years ago. All the work was done to our satisfaction, timely and professionally. We would definitely recommend Chris and Allstar Electric to anyone. They are honest and professional and do the job right.

Called Allstar in the morning and they sent Mark by early afternoon to fix/repair the mess left by someone else we had hired. Mark was very competent, professional, and fast! I will use this company in the future as I was very impressed! In addition, I thought the prices were very resonable and fair.

Allstar Electrical Services did a great job for us. I called and the next day we had an electrician at our house. The electrician did a fantastic job fixing our sub panel electrical box in our basement. He was on time and worked hard the entire time he was at our house. I would definitely use this company again.

gary found some old documentation on the electrical system and asked to borrow it. i agreed, and he said he would return in quickly. i emailed him last month, he said he would return it right away. called today, he still has it, but again says he will return it right away.

Adam (service tech) was professional and persistent. The job also came in at less than the over the phone estimate. I would definitely use Allstar Electrical again if I ever have the need for electrical work.

I called All Star about the 6th or 7th of August on the basis of their ratings here on Angie's list. I need a bid on electrical work for a kitchen remodel including lighting and moving around things with a wall demo. The soonest appointment that was available was 8/17/2012. It was scheduled. My husband took the day off work to wait at home for their arrival. He got a call about 2 hours before they were expected telling him he they would not be able to come that day because they had been called out on an emergency. The soonest they would be able to come would be 8/24/2012. I waited for their arrival that day. Gary arrived pretty promptly, was courteous and quick. He told me to expect a detailed bid by 8/28/2012. To date, 9/4/2012 the bid has not been recieved, nor has there been any explanation for why. I have called and left messages inquiring with no response. I realize that with a good rating this company is busy, and may have many more profitable jobs to attend to. However, they need to correct their advertising strategy as it was my impression this was work they would want to do. At this point I do not recommend this company particularly if you are working with tight deadlines with other contracters to get work done.

These guys rock! We had a few minor repairs on our new house. Unfortunately a minor job turned into a major one, what was supposed to be a 90 minute job kept him here 4 hours. They stuck with it until the job was done right, and then worked with us on price! Definitely the place to use for us!

Great service and response. Jonathan emailed my request back with minutes of inquiring through Angie's List, even on the weekend. He came over several days later and did the estimate and a couple days later, they performed the work. Mark showed up to do the work and was equally great and very professional. As a business owner and one who has used many electricians through the business, AllStar is one of the only companies that left their work neat and the sheet rock wasn't destroyed. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

None of the electrical outlets in any of our bathrooms were working. We tried to reset the GFI to no avail. We checked the breakers to ensure they were all on. We figured the GFI was old and just worn out. I called two Angie's List preferred electricians. One could not come until September 10, the other, Allstar happened to have a truck in my vicinity and it was at my house within 40 minutes. Adam replaced the GFI first and when it would not reset properly, checked each bathroom to find, diagnose and fix the problem He explained everything he was doing (in lay persons terms) to me, and did not mind that I followed him around like a puppy. Adam finished the work properly, promptly, and neatly. I recommend Allstar Electric emphatically.

All Star Electrical Services' lead service tech Jeff Greenwood did an outstanding job. I just showed him what needed to be done and he took care of everything. As he started the installation, he found various issues; but, was exceptionally resourceful in working through the issues. Some of the mounting brackets were previously damaged and Jeff replaced them so that the new dining room chandelier and the stairway landing pendant light had a solid base. I went to home depot and could not find the right length for the new ceiling fan extension rod. Jeff's electrical van was essentially a fabrication center. He was able to cut the rod down to the right length, drill the necessary fitting holes into the end of the rod and was able to essentially make a new rod at the perfect height. Jeff was able to work through various issues and got the job done in a very short period of time and at minimal cost. The final price for doing everything was much less than anticipated. I highly recommend Jeff Greenwood of Allstar Electrical Services and would certainly use him again.

I called John at Allstar Electric for a price quote sometime in June. I explained that my home was built in 2005 by Pulte and that the basement is unfinished and I needed about 17 electrical boxes installed, about 2-3 light switches installed and I needed a light switch split into 2 sections. I was quoted $900.00 and told it would take about 1 full day and possibly a couple of hours into the next day to complete. I said great, $900.00 I will get back with you in a couple of weeks to set it up. We set it up for 06-25-2012. Tom came out to do the job. Tom, my Son Steve and I went over the work that we wanted done. At the end of the day was when the problem began. Tom presented a bill for $1372.80, Materials were an astonishing $772.80 and labor was $600.00. I explained to Tom that we were told it would be $900.00. Tom called the owner Gary Stone. Gary told Tom to have me call him. Which I did right after Tom hung up from Gary. I was told that Gary was not in the office. I hung up and about 3 minutes later, Gary called back. We had a conversation about what I was quoted and what I was charged. He told me that I had gotten a “smokin’ deal”. He said that he could help me out by taking 10% off but that was all that he could do. So, I ended up paying $1235.52 for a $900.00 job from Allstar Electric. It was senseless to argue the price with this guy as it was going nowhere. When the bill was presented to me, it also included the breakdown of the parts for the job, most of which Tom said was purchased at Lowes. So I checked with Lowes for the prices and this is what I found. Allstar Electric charged me $772.80. Lowes price $237.38, plus Lowes gives contractors a 10% discount. This is a difference of $559.16. I understand that a company needs to make a profit. My complaint is that I was quoted a price of $900.00 and I was charged $1235.52, a difference of $335.52.

Showed up on time, were tidy and did excellent work. He sounded very knowledgeable about older residences.

We had several old ungrounded 2 prong outlets in the back section of our house that we wanted to upgrade for safety reasons. This included the GFI outlets in our bathroom and washroom that would not have worked correctly. After having a couple electricians over that seemed baffled by the wiring and gave insanely high estimates for a total rewiring job, I called Allstar. Gary came out a couple days later and my wife was able to point out the work we needed. He came up with a solution that involved grounding the outlets with the existing wiring. I scheduled the work a couple weeks after the estimate, and was able to get someone out on a day I already had off from work. Adam, the electrician, was right on time and very professional. The work was done more quickly than expected, and he was able to even add in one more outlet at no charge. I am very happy knowing our electrical work is safer, and will definitely be using Allstar for all future electrical needs.

We had lost power to certain rooms in the house and could not figure it out on our own. We had just had a crappy electrician come out before that never returned to finish a job and were not looking forward to risking another bad experience. I logged into Angie's List and narrowed down two Electricians based on reviews and of the two Allstar called back immediately and was out the next day (we had called late in the evening), bright and earlier than the scheduled time. Within a few minutes Adam was able to find the problem and since we had some time left on the clock he fixed our ceiling fan and gave us some options/estimates on other electrical work that we need done. Overall, my husband and I were both extremely satisfied with Adam. He's very professional, on time, knowledgeable and patient with all our questions. I've kept their number in my phone for future jobs and so that I can refer them to family and friends, and there aren't many companies/contractors that make that list! Thank you Adam (AllStar)!
