All Around Flooring

We went to Carpet Depot based on the reviews that we read (not on Angie's list). What a huge mistake!!! After paying half of the $5000, we worked nights and two weekends, getting the room painted (due to all of the angles, and high ceilings this was quite a task). When we ordered the carpet, we received a call a few days later saying that the carpet was back ordered. While not happy, we understood and they gave us another date. They indicated that date was firm. This morning they were supposed to install the carpet. When we called this morning to confirm the time, they indicated the carpet was not in. I am shocked at the lack of customer service. They didn't feel the need to call us and let us know - especially knowing we had arranged a new bed delivery the following day. They offered us an insulting $200 credit for our inconvenience. We cancelled the complete order and are now starting over. I would highly recommend that you avoid this place!

I was out of town and did not see the job until after a few days after the installation. Every piece of base trim was scratched up, along with 2 doorways. There is a huge seam running across my living room which is the first thing you see when you walk in my front door, along with a big gap where the carpet meets the tile. The guys left a huge mess (they did not bring anything to clean up). They tried to fix it with no success, which proves they made quite a mess. After months of back and forth, and disrupting the holidays, I tried calling the owner 2 more times - didn't even bother to return my calls. I finally went to the BBB bureau and filed a complaint (either re-do the job or give me a full refund so that I could have another company come in and re-do everything. Their response - "No seam is completely invisible. Seams should be kept to a minimum, running the length of the area and making sure that natural light will not hit across the seam." I guess I need to keep my curtains closed to make the seam less visible - at night it looks just as bad. This is my 4th full house re-carpet and have never had a problem. I will never use them again, and my next step is small claims court. BTW - I was told the guys who did my install caused the same issues in 3 other homes, and have since been fired, so what, what about me and the mess in my living room. The owner, Wendell, does not stand behind his crews work. This is what happens when you try to give a local guy some business - I got the business.

We shopped several places and Carpet Depot was the easiest to work with. They also had the best price. The installation was on schedule and the installers were very good. Had samples readily available to take home during the selection process and fully guarantee the installation.

Received Estimate and hired based upon said estimate. After the carpet was installed they said they measured wrong and added over $300.00 to the invoice. Installers also left a huge splice (a large cut) in the main living area approx 2 feet long and rather than replace the damaged carpet with a new piece, they simpy glued it down.
