Good communication, arrived punctually. Performed services as requested. Did not complete all tasks, so paid him extra for additional time. Very friendly, seemed quite honest.

It went very well at a reasonable price

Needed ceiling patched and sanded as well as canned light holes fixed to ready for painting. He ended up fixing all the ceiling areas that had cracks. He was very neat and it was a messy project. I am so glad to have met Al and will be calling him again when he is needed. |

It went very well. He knew how to do everything and looked for other things he could fix for me. Was very professional and pleasant. went over and above.

This AM Saturday we had to call the police to get this man and his brother out of our home. When we confronted him with the poor quality of his work he became irate and accused us of lying. My husband agreed to pay him half of the remaining fee just to get him out of our home without things coming to blows. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN!!!

Al let me know my options. He could provide a quick temporary fix for the price of the coupon I purchased, but told me it would not last, as he felt the toilet would continue to move in time. He explained what he could do for a more permanent solution which would entail removing the toilet and some tiles so that he could get under the pipe. I took the quick fix, but will call him back when and if the toilet moves again. Al was very courteous, left the area very clean, and did a nice job even it it does not last forever.

Purchased this deal of 9/9/2013. He did e-mail me back with a number to call. Talked to him and wanted me to e-mail the list of repairs I needed completed. Never heard from him three to four days passed. Called again -- e-mail me a list -- already did -- oh system down - oh there it is - foubd it! We set up an appointment -- canceled due to water leak somewhere else -- fine that happens. Will call to reschedule -- no phone call -- called again set up appointment - it is now the 24th -yes a lot of time has passed, said he could do work today at 7:00 am. 6:00 am left message family emergency have to te-schedule! But 99 percent sure can do tomorrow - sorry at this point I want 100 percent. Will call me at noon -- now 4:00 pm - forget I hired someone else and they were at my house within two hours! It's not only that I am disappointed in Al -- if your to busy just tells us - don't dangle us for 2 weeks -- this job was very very important - house under contract and general inspection scheduled for September 27th. Oh, and very disappoints in Angie's list -- everyone bragged how good they are and how everyone is checked out for there reputation -- first time used and will be requesting a refund from them too,

Al did a great job. It's hard to find someone that will do odd jobs for you on short notice for a fair price, but he did! He was here when he said he would be, did what he said he was going to do, and asked along the way if there was anything else that needed to be done for me to be satisfied with his work. He does like to chat, so the work maybe could have been done sooner had we not been chatting as much, but that's a small price to pay for honest work being done. He was able to start for us very quickly, and that helped out a lot. He was great, and I would be happy to use him again.

PROVIDERS: IF YOU'RE TOO BUSY FOR NEW CLIENTS, THEN THE PROFESSIONAL THING IS TO TELL THEM THAT UP FRONT. Don't lie to new clients and tell them you'll be there at a certain time if you can't or won't. I lost a whole day and probably an hour in total on the phone trying to get Al out here and I resent that. I only have one day a week off for my errands and housework and I lost it all waiting on someone who won't show when he promises.

Perhaps the better question is what is Al NOT able to fix. He was punctual, knowledgeable and had the enviable quality of not making me feel inept (as a single woman) because I could not fix this stuff. I will definitely use his services again, and I think the $100.00 for 3 hours of services was a fantastic deal!

It went smoothly --- professionally done. We will be using Al to add a bathroom to the home. He has a quote which is reasonable that took into account everything that had to do with the expansion of the powder rooom into a full bathroom ---- EVERYTHING! I'd use him again in a heartbeat.
