A2Z RADON MITIGATION

Unfortunately, we've been unable to get a response from this company. We've been calling and trying to contact them through their website for days. The phone rings and rings and finally kicks to voicemail. We've left several messages and have heard nothing. Good thing this company is only dealing with a toxic gas that causes lung cancer and not something that really matters!

Left phone messages for them. Someone finally called me back. Seemed annoyed with me and would not make an appointment to come out. Said he would call back Wednesday morning to set something up, but never did. These folks appear to be out of business but don't even have the decency to admit it.

A2Z installed our system in 2006. It isn't working. They advertise a 30 year warranty. They won't return numerous calls or emails. Either out of business or incredibly poor customer service.

Went very well. Seemed to know what he was doing and fixed the problems.

The technician Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful in determining the best place to put it. He was considerate of noise, aesthetic appearance, and not damaging the house. There was no easily available source of electricity in that spot. If it is an easier connection they do it, but this he said required an electrician. So he left it ready to be connected to power and took $100 off the bill to cover that cost. I got that done afterward and the system started right up. I do not yet have the retest results for the radon level, which will be the final proof of success, but the installation went very well and they were great to work with.

Firm price of $795 was quoted over the telephone. They said price was fix regardless of installation issues. System was installed a week ago with a radon reading of 8.5 pCi/L. Level is at 4.0 pCi/L and still falling. Excellent experience.

Went very well. Called one day, system was installed and painted to match the house by noon the next day. Its an ugly system, but its better than taking a chance with lung cancer. The job was done as neatly as possible.

We left a message for A2Z explaining our situation and we rec'd a call back in the same day. The woman answered all our questions and gave us a quote that was really low. We ended up going with another company and, in actuality, it was b/c A2Z would only give a phone estimate rather than coming to the house to check things out. The folks who'll be doing the remediation had the benefit of making a stronger impact on us, they're not charging much more than A2Z and I feel like I know who we'll be dealing with. A2Z is definitely the runner up.

A2Z Radon Mitigation was very responsive upon my first inquiry. I found them on Angie's List and they provided me with a quote over the phone. The technician came to our first appointment promptly. The only glitch was a misunderstanding on my part. My husband and I thought he was coming to give us an in-home estimate and show us where the venting would be located in our basement, etc. Apparently, in-home estimates are not the standard for this industry and he thought he was coming to do the actual job. He was very polite and understanding and proceeded to discuss the installation procedure with my husband. We cleared up our misunderstanding with their office and scheduled them for completion of the project. Our technician, Mike, arrived on time and did a beautiful job. He was very tidy and took great care to install the pipes, etc. in a place where we could later finish our basement nicely, concealing the mitigation equipment. He also took the time to find the best location for the fan switch, considering safety and future basement finishing. A2Z offered us the choice of using plastic downspout or PVC piping on the outside of our house. We chose to have the installment spread out over a two-day job, so that a second coat of paint could be applied to the downspout. We provided the paint, but did not want to climb up and touch-up the downspout for better coverage; so, we opted to have Mike come back and finish up on a second afternoon so a second coat of paint could be added. The company only charged us $75 extra for the second service call. That changed our total from $850 to $925 total. Still a very reasonable price. We couldn't be happier with the quality of this installation.

They did a very good job at installing the system so that people couldn't see it that much. It took them about two days to do all the work. They installed one large pump to run both systems.
