I'd love to be able to write a positive review, because the concrete itself, with a few minor glitches, was pretty much exactly what we wanted and we've seen the water go away from our sunroom foundation, which was the goal. Unfortunately, I have far less than stellar comments about Arnold's workers, and therefore Arnold. This was a pretty big job and approximately 2.7 cubic yards of dirt and river rocks was dug up for the new pour. Unfortunately, Arnold's guys only removed some old concrete that had to be dug up and took less than a 1/3 of the gigantic pile of rocks and dirt. Furthermore, his guys spread the rock and dirt around our yard, after we specifically told them we wanted the dirt hauled away, to make it appear as if they took more than they did, which is just plain dishonest. We spent 2 hours raking river rocks out of our grass. The gate to our dog run won't open because the dirt is so high; it also covered portions of the side of our ground deck. Stupid move on our part - we paid Arnold in full with the promise that his guys would be back for the dirt. When they returned, they took approximately 4 wheel barrels full and told us they're truck couldn't handle more. We told Arnold they needed to come back, and they did. They took another 4 wheel barrels and he called it good, even though our gate clearly can't open and there's rock everywhere. We went back and forth with him a few times to try to get this resolved as well as to get Arnold to return an extension cord that did not belong to him (he took it even after asking us if it was his - we told him no). He finally offered to refund a measly $100, only after we threatened to report him to BBB for failure to perform what was in our contract with him. The contract states removed of dirt, debris, etc. We told him we wanted to get an estimate to haul the dirt and at first he said ok, but then insisted he'd just pay the $100. He did return our extension cord, but we've never seen the $100. This has been on-going since May. He's no longer returning phone calls or texts. Unfortunately we've had to go ahead and report him to the BBB. I estimate we're out about $400, which is what it's going to cost us to have someone haul the dirt.
Description of Work: The contractor poured a concrete walkway around a sunroom at a slight angle to help with water drainage issues.
