We are America’s largest radon abatement company, and we have more certified technicians on staff than any other competitor. SWAT Environmental is a trusted partner of some of the largest real estate firms in the country, and we lead the industry in quality and overall value. All of our technicians go through a rigorous training program that prepares them to make your home or office safe from the dangers of radon. When you have a problem with radon, you can trust the experienced professionals at SWAT Environmental.
SWAT was recommended to me, and they were quick to give a quote and schedule an appointment. It took 3 trips for them to get the installation done to my satisfaction, and it still isn't quality work. They installed an electrical box and conduit on the front of my house without approval. The system was installed so close to some plumbing that a valve couldn't be opened and closed. They fixed that, but it is still impossible to blow out the sprinklers because of the location. We are done calling SWAT to fix their mistakes. We're going to have to pay a plumber to move the sprinkler plumbing. I gave them a D instead of an F because the office people I talked to were responsive and willing to send someone back out to correct the mistakes. I think our tech was inexperienced or lazy, or something.

The install was fine, but the industrial strength fan they sold us has died twice now in less than 2 years (1rst time was after 13 months and 2nd time was 9 months later). SWAT replaced the fan the first time under manufacturer's warranty, but is charging $150 service fee this time to replace the same fan less than 12 months later. I will be using a different company and will be paying close to $1K for a new mitigation system to be installed as I do NOT trust SWATs work any longer and I have 2 young kids that have a playroom in the basement. Do NOT use this company. Their management customer service is horrendous (note the technicians that have come out have both been very nice) and it takes weeks to get a response to service calls (I called three times and it took calling sales before the service department ever called me back).

I initially called early September to schedule a tech to come out and repair/replace the fan for a Mitigation System that was installed prior to our purchase of the house. I was told that a scheduler would be in touch within a day or so. Over a week later, after getting no response, I called again to try and get something scheduled. Afew days later someone called and we set an appointment for September 24. The day of the appointment, the tech called to inform me that the job he was on was taking longer than planned and he would call when done. He called me at 6:30 pm telling me he was done and could be here by 7. Since it was a school night, I asked to reschedule. He told me that someone would be in touch the following day to reschedule. The tech was very apologetic and professional, which is why the company didn't get an 'F' for and quot;professionalismand quot; above. That was a week ago. Even though the fan is probably under warranty, I have since gone with another company (found here on Angieslist - Thanks!). I have little to no faith in this company to complete any sort of repair in a timely manner.

Do NOT use this company. I bought my house May 12. The radon level was 9. I had the previous owners install a radon mitigation system as part of the purchasing agreement. They chose SWAT Environmental. SWAT Environmental wanted to drill through my floor to install their system. I did not want a hole in my floor or in my wall. I told them to install the system outside the house. I conducted an eight month test in three separate locations. The radon ratings were 5.2, 5.7, 6.6. I contacted SWAT Environmental approximately 6 May to have someone come look at their system and recommend improvements. After multiple failed attempts, and conversations with condescending support personnel, a representative of SWAT Environmental come to the house on 6 June; ONE MONTH. Their expert opinion was that I should have let them drill through the floor and the wall. I asked them for an estimate. It is 10 July and I have received ZERO contact from SWAT Environmental. During this time I had another radon mitigation company come look at the system. They are now on site and fixing the system. When they dug up the pipe they found, and I saw, that SWAT Environmental installed the system improperly; there was no cavity at the end of the pipe to create suction, the pipe was just stuck into the soil. I did not pay for the original system, but I am paying now to fix a combination of SWAT Environmental's laziness and / or incompetence, and / or dishonesty. Also, as I mentioned, their back end service stinks; rude, condescending, not timely. Again, DO NOT use SWAT Environmental.

The technician, Michael, arrived on time and quickly assessed the installation options and discussed them with me. He got right to work (93 degrees and all!) and performed the installation. It is professionally done, neat, and he cleaned up after himself.
