Shawn and Chris were great! I bought an Angie's List Big Deal to have one handyman for 8 hours or two handymen for 4 hours. I chose the 2 for 4 hours. When I called Shawn to make the appointment, I told him I had a really long list, and that I'd like to get an idea ahead of time re: the materials I'd need to provide. After I gave him my address, he said that since I don't live far from his location, he would come by the house ahead of time and let me know what materials he'd need. Sure enough, the next day, he came by, and he walked around the house with me, and for every item on my To-Do list, he told me exactly what he'd need. (And he did this for free and didn't take his time that day out of the 4 hours I had bought!) This allowed me to go to the store ahead of time and buy everything so that neither he nor Chris would have to make a store run during their 4-hr appointment with me. This was a HUGE bonus, and I really appreciated it. (He doesn't do this for people if he has to make a long drive to someone's house; so I totally lucked out by living nearby.) On the day of the appointment, Shawn and Chris arrived about 10 minutes early. I walked them both through the list, showed them where the supplies were, and they got down to it. I had 16 items on the list, and some of them were pretty time-consuming items (e.g., painting the siding and trim of the house that faces the covered patio, installing a new ceiling fan, installing a new light fixture, etc.); so I hoped they'd be able to get through at least the top 8 or 9 items. (I prioritized the list so as to ensure that my Must-Do items were definitely addressed.) By the end of the four hours, they had made it through 13.5 of the items on the list, and everything they'd done looked wonderful! I was so impressed with their work, their friendliness (toward me, my husband, *and* our two dogs), and their helpfulness that I made an appointment right then to have them come back and finish up the few remaining items on my list. If you have a list of Honey-Do Items that you haven't had the time or energy to address, I highly recommend that you hire Shawn to do them for you; you won't regret it.

I'm pretty organized and I like to dig into everything on my list when I pay professionals to come in. These 2 know what they are doing and they've clearly worked together long enough to divide and conquer my lists. I had a large table that I needed dismantled and moved from upstairs to my garage. They worked together and carefully took a door off to be sure they didn't ding the trim. They also put together a couch bed and moved some extremely heavy furniture for me. I can't speak highly enough about how hard these 2 work. They know what they're doing and they work together and separately in order to get each item on the list done. I can't imagine that anyone wouldn't feel lucky to have 4 hours of labor and expertise from these professionals. I don't want to say anymore, because I'll never be able to get them back to work on my next list, because they'll be all booked up.

The contractor was very puncutal. He came back the next day to do some touch up painting where the track lighting was removed. He provided sound advice and I would definately use him again.

Shawn and Chris are fantastic. I originally hired them only to pull out a mother-in-law kitchen but expanded the service as we went along. Shawn is a great communicator, he always let me know where he was, where he was going and when he would be back. They both work efficiently and can do anything; construction, plumbing, electrical, flooring, carpentry, you name it. I will definitely hire them again.

We set up the date/time for service, which was to be a few weeks after purchase of the Angie's Deal, on a date of Shawn's suggestion. I had been on a work trip until late the night before but I was ready for him at the scheduled 8 AM time. At 8:15 AM I called and received his voice mail. I also emailed him. It is now 10 AM and he hasn't shown up or called. I'm very disappointed and angry at this. I am getting close to listing my home for sale and don't have a lot of time to wait to complete these projects.

The service went fine. There was an extra trip charge. It was $260 for two guys for two days, so $260 a day, plus the $50 trip charge for two days. They were nice guys and I left them alone most of the time because I had to go to work. I felt like they were trustworthy and they tried really hard to get as much on my list done as they could before their days were up. Their pricing is great. They were really responsive. I would use him again. He won't come out here again, it is too far.

1st Choice Remodeling were efficient, good at what they did, showed up on time for the work, and were gone when they said they would be.

It went great! They went above and beyond and did so willingly! They were able to help me with exactly what I needed and it was just perfect!

The service was pretty good. We had a couple of things for them to do, and they seemed to accomplish them pretty well. I thought they were a little rushed. They seemed like they were rushing through things a little bit, a little bit sloppy, not terrible, but a little bit. We are going to try them again just to make sure. I hate to just leave it that way. So, we have another project that they had been working on since. I think that would kind of decide for us.

I joined Angie's list hoping to find gems like this company, but 1st Choice Remodeling exceeded my expectations. I initially hired them to do some deck work and switched it around at the last minute when we changed our minds. They were very accommodating. At the last minute I had them do a multitude of jobs inside and outside the house. They did everything I threw at them and had time for more. I had to come up with more stuff to use my Angie's List coupon for! Shawn does an EXCELLENT job drywalling. Drywall is something we can't do well ourselves so was very happy to find somebody with this skillset. When we moved in our bathroom had that brown bag (paper mache like texturizing). Shawn completely redid our 5 x 5 x 10 room walls so that they would match our drop down texture in the rest of the house. He also patched two drywall areas in other rooms. I so admire a good drywaller. It's beautiful! Chris fixed our gate (opens great now!), strengthened the posts on our deck, put in new edging and added a fence enclosure. I know they are known for their painting (which I assume is awesome), but they definitely do a lot more than paint. What's more both are so friendly. They have great personalities! I'm always hesitant to bring somebody new to the house, but you could tell what good guys they were off the bat. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I will most definitely hire this company again and, in fact, have already started conversations on future projects. I highly recommend 1st Choice Remodeling

They were prompt and did the work quickly to allow me to meet my deadlines for getting house on the market.

We recently had our all of hour interior walls painted before we moved into our new home. Shawn completed our project in just a few days, and started the day after we closed, so that we could move in quickly. We had the walls painted several colors including some accent walls around rounded corners. All of the lines around the ceiling, trim, and accent walls are sharp and clean. We are very pleased with the finished project, will diffinitetly use this company again for further home improvement projects.

Because of family, I was unable go to Lowe's and pick out the doors and window or be at the property when the work was done. I just called 1st Choice Remodeling and told them what needed to be done and Shawn Wigington, the owner, took charge of getting the items for me and coordinating with my tenant and doing the work in a short time frame so that everyone was happy. I have used them in the past for plumbing, drywall, flooring, and now all windows at this property. It's always a good experience and I trust them.

Shawn is always kind, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. On every job performed for my family he has listened closely to what we wanted, provided advice on materials, timeline etc. He then provided a bid that has always been very reasonable, and the work is done in an efficient manner. At any time when we have had a concern, he has gone beyond and above normal expectations to alleviate them. One reason we call 1st Choice back to get work done by Shawn is that he does not cut corners, he does the job exactly how he knows it ought to be done. Often times he has left repairs better than before it was broken.With the painting of our home's exterior, Shawn provided guidance on the type of paint to use. He then inspected the house and replaced portions of our siding that had rotted. Shawn then painted the house exactly to our specifications.For our homes interior, he repaired holes in walls, replaced the sump pump, welded a broken pipe, and then painted the entire interior of our home.I highly recommend Shawn to all of my friends and family.

Shawn was very efficent and got everything done, was very clean also....

Soon as the necessary permits were obtained (City of Northglenn and my HOA), Shawn got started right away, built the fence quickly and did a great job (very well built). I'm no expert (that's why I didn't do this myself) but looking at the fence's construction, I don't see any corners cut at all, I see only first rate work - my fence is absolutely well built. Folks need to know about this guy, he does great work - he even followed up to make sure everything was okay and that I was satisfied with the job all that.
