Description of Work: Redid my fencing and gates. It was great. My neighbors liked it so much that they even asked for their name and number. They did a great job. The price they gave me at the beginning and the time frame was exactly what was agreed on.

Description of Work: Contacted the owner, Fransisco Garcia on 5/23/12 in order to get an estimate, couldn't get through because he "doesn't answer private numbers to keep safe", is what he told me when he returned my message. While discussing what I wanted to do, he explained that he can save me a ton of money because he does things different than other companies. He then went on to talk poorly of several other contractors that he called his "competition". I asked him about licensing and insurance, and permits for my job. He said he is fully licensed and insured, and that is what I saw in his advertisement on Craigslist, however when I got off the phone with him, I searched and searched for his name and business and there is absolutely nothing about him or the company. As for the permits, he said he isn't require to get permits and that is how he will save me some money, he can just do the job and nobody would know whether we had them or not! I contacted some local officials who explained to me that anyone doing any home remodeling HAS to have a permit. And that any company doing business of this nature must be licensed, and to claim they are licensed when they are not is illegal! He was very pushy to get me to let him come out and give me my bid right then at that moment, and even offered a discount if I signed his contract on the spot! I did not allow him to come to my home, and definitely won't be hiring him to perform any services!
