ALLIED WASTE SERVICES/BFI

I bill under Republic Services, we have had this company for years, but they have really gone done hill. Holiday changes mean you are skipped, skipped means they refuse to pick up until the following week. Changes in your service days- with no warning- mean you are skipped two weeks in row (at the writing of this). Waiting on the phone for 2 hours and still not able to to talk to a person. When you finally talk to a person, they say things to pacify you and can't follow through. They will even tell you that they can not talk to the field, so they have no way to find out if they can pick up your trash. This company is a very bad company and I am not sure how long they will stay in business. Stay away, they are nothing but headaches.

I like that we now use garage bags instead of a trash container. They would put the lid on the trash container, which our previous company did not do. They are always on time but they call you if there is going to be a delay. Their prices are comparable and I appreciate the fact that the trash is picked up on time every day. They charge per quarter. When I do have to call the office, I get someone that is pleasant and speaks English.

Our driver is great. They have low costs and a dependable service. We are thrilled to do business with them. They have a great customer service department as well. Overall, I am pleased and I would recommend them to anyone. We pay for the service monthly.

I put my garbage out on my curb the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, which is my regular pickup day. Allied never picked it up. I called them but they didn't get back to me until the next Monday. They promised to pick up two weeks worth of garbage the next Wednesday. Wednesday came and went. They never picked it up. I called them Thursday, November 30, and complained. They promised they'd make a special trip that day to pick up my garbage. They never picked it up. I called Friday to complain. Again. They promised up and down that they'd make a special trip out Friday to pick up my garbage and admitted that it was unforgivable to leave my garbage out there on the curb for almost two weeks, and after half a dozen complaints from me, their customer. They never picked it up. At this point, I don't know what to do. I have a dozen bags of smelly garbage out on the curb, and I have no way to get rid of it. I have an equal number in the house, that's building up and smelling up the house.

This is the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. Their business is trash only and yet they can't get it right. How many phone calls must a customer make to get their trash picked up. They keep asking me "where do you set the container" It is always set on the sidewalk next to the street. They have my address and it is clearly marked on the house. The regular waste cans are picked up without a problem.
