Description of Work: Horrible! Got the number for Jade Management from a handyman who had great Angie's List ratings. We had Jamie come in and install a vent for our bathroom that had to be routed through the roof. He did a great job on that so we had him quote a rebuild of the 6 stairs to our deck. The old stairs were falling apart and the railings weren't attached correctly making them dangerous. I have three small children and elderly parents that live with us so safety is very important. Jamie, the owner, looked at them and said to redo them including railings that were correct would be $125. I was surprised at how reasonable the price was and confirmed with him that it included materials, upgraded railings, and an additional stringer. He said yes. A couple weeks later someone (an uninsured sub I'm sure) came and unbolted the old hazardous stairs. He took them with him saying he'd have them back in a few days. This surprised me since I thought stairs had to be built in place but I'm not a carpenter so I figured they knew what they were doing. Several days later he came back with the "new" stairs and bolted them in and said he was done. I was shocked since he has left the old railings. When I asked about it he said that "he didn't know anything about that". Unfortunately the stairs were an even bigger disappointment, they were the same exact rickety uneven stairs just made out of "new" materials. None of the treads were level and were all uneven in different directions. The stringers used were not the correct width nor was the new center stringer I had requested even attached to the deck. It was just hanging off the treads. Most of the boards had major defects and knots in them. I called Jamie and left a message detailing my concerns. I was certain he had no idea what had happened and would correct the problems. I was shocked when he called back and told me that they would come by in a week and put the old stairs back since I was unhappy. I had expected him to be surprised at the shoddy workmanship and fix it. Apparently he was fully aware but just didn't care. That was several months ago and they have yet to come take their stairs. I'm now very concerned about the workmanship of the roof vent he did for us. Don't hire Jade Management. Update: Just had a soaking rain storm and the roof vent failed causing water to pour into our bathroom through the brand new vent/light/heater combo we had installed by another contractor. Once again....do not hire this company or Jamie!!!
