There was more than one occasion where something happened with a driver or a truck and they didn't pick up that week and they made no adjustment on the bill and just said it has to wait till next week. Also I contacted them and they today today only removed half the trash out of the dumpster I called them and told them and they said that it would cost me $25 for them to come again and that they wouldn't come out otherwise.

BUYER BEWARE! This company is run by crooks. The service was spotty (at best) When you need to contact customer service it tells you there are 30 people ahead of you and to leave a message for a call back. Tired of the rising prices, and unable to get customer assistance, I left a message to cancel service and pick up bins (this week please!) Needless to say there was no call back, and requests didnt occur. When I finally talked to someone after 3 attempts (one waiting 30 min and finally hung up! ) I told her of the terrifically horrendous experience I was having and she yelled at me saying the "call backs were in the thousands!" I suggested it was time to hire more help; especially if they were losing customers. They finally picked up the empty bins and billed me more that half of the quarterly amount for only one pick up of trash and one pick up of recycle (normally 12 trash p/u if your lucky, and 6 recycle p/u) ...they removed the money from my account after I twice left messages to explain the bill to me (it never happened) they got their pound of flesh illegally, in my opinion, and I will be reporting them to the BBB. Garbage collection service when provided is fine; however, pickups are missed at times. Contacting customer service to report, reschedule, or request credit results in voicemails and emails that do not address or resolve the issue but rather only suggest that the customer try calling again. Automatic payment cannot be used unless the customer sets an acceptable ceiling for charges above quoted rates, as the quarterly rate increases without notice, 7% over the past year in this case. Rate adjustments over time are understandable, but a kickback of automatic payment due to increased rates results in an aborted payment and late fee. Office employees are pleasant, but handling of customer accounts is inefficient, time-consuming for the customer, and seems to require a Better Business Bureau complaint to resolve the most minor of well-documented issues.

The recycle was picked up more than once by the trash collector. When I spoke with person in the office they said they would talk to the waste collector but the problem still occurred. I don't spend my time separating trash from recyclable material just to have it put in the trash bin!

We've been Waste Connections customers for many years. Today I called to find out if the recycling truck had been by and was told it had. I asked what a pickup cost, and was told it was $25. I said last week the trash pickup had been cancelled because of weather and that I had to call the company to find this out. Did I get any sort of credit for that, I asked. No, but I could take my trash out today, although of course I'd missed the pickup. I was complaining and found at the end that the person had hung up on me, which seems damned unprofessional to me. In the end, however, I guess Waste Connections did me a favor. I found out as I called to change providers--which I'm certainly going to do-- that that company charges significantly more than other companies for recycling and waste collection.

I have had WCI for a several years. I put out a trash can partly containing rock and dirt they refused to take it. They said I have to reduce it to 60 lbs. I took out half the item. As of 07/9/2014, still refuse the take the trash can. They do not have the ability to weigh the trash cane, they do an eye ball assessment only. Here's the thing: WCI my taken my TV's , desks, chairs, recliners, trees, and rock previously with out complaints.

I handle the billing for a homeowner association in Colo. Springs with large lots, many with horses, and gravel roads. They looked for a waste service to handle as many of the approx. 200 homes as would sign up for the service. Other providers weren't willing. About 3/4ths signed up for the service, especially since the rates were so reasonable. I collect the payments and make deposits so that an owner in the area can make one payment a month to Waste Connections. I am very impressed with their professionalism, efficiency, and prices. Shoot, even Side Streets wrote a favorable column about the HOA and called them geniuses.
