+ -1 moreI had them come out for an estimate on replacing one pane of broken glass on a sliding patio door. I also requested that they replace the lock, which was broken. When they called me they told me that it was cheaper to replace the entire door and quoted me a price of $275. I agreed and they ordered the door (I was told). It took many weeks for them to get the door. When they came to install, they did not have a door, but only a pane of glass, which they said would be the same price. I told them that I had wanted the entire door replaced and had been told that was what they were ordering. They had no response and went ahead and installed the glass only. There was no offer to fix the lock. I told them I was unhappy and they did not seem to care. When I say "they" I am referring to the owner and one employee.
Description of Work: Replaced glass on sliding patio door.

+ -1 moreUS Glass was extremely helpful. I had the pannel shipped to their office and after receipt they made an appointment to install it. They were here on time and did a very professional installation.
Description of Work: US Glass installed a replacement sliding glass door pannel (glass). The glass pannel was provided by the original manufacturer but the warranty did not cover installation.

Description of Work: I decided to replace my 15-year old sliding glass patio door because it had become increasingly difficult to slide open. A friend referred me to Dan Medina at U.S. Glass. I contacted him and made an appointment for the following day. He showed up exactly on time and began by assessing the problem with my existing door. He took the sliding door completely out, cleaned and vacuumed the track, squirted some WD-40 on the rollers and then reinstalled the door. It worked like magic. He indicated that he could sell and install a new door for me, but told me that I didn't need one; the glass was not compromised, the rollers looked good, and the track was fine. He saved me $1,000 for a new door and another $100 in stucco repair! I offered to pay him for his very effective service call, but he wouldn't accept it. I then offer him $20.00 for his gas if nothing else; he refused it as well. He indicated that he was glad to help, and that when I really did need a replacement door, please consider him. Needless to say, he is extremely ethical and helpful. I would not hesitate recommending him to anyone, and will certainly call him for a sale in the future!

replacement windows, glass repair, screen repair
+ 1 moreOn time and under estimated price. Can't recommend any higher if you have broken window glass and don't want to replace the entire thing. Dan is a really nice person to work with.
Description of Work: Replaced two broken double pane glass windows by replacing the glass portion only, saving the 8X cost of replacing the entire window frame and all. Measured, had constructed and replaced a 45x45 inch center part of a 3 part window and a 1/2 of a bathroom window. Also re-screened a patio slider, and constructed 4 other frames and screens that were missing.
