Matthew and WireNut Home Services finished a complicated 2 day job with many different parts. His assistant Emma and he were very professional, patient, friendly, knowledgeable and quick. They completed everything throughly, cleaned up afterwards. We will definitely be recommending them to friends and family. We can't say enough good about them and the company.
Description of Work: Installed new outlets, installed new ceiling vent fan in the bathroom where there was none, installed a new ceiling light/fan where there was none, replaced old light switches and outlets with new updated ones, ran 2 dedicated new circuts for 2 new electrical fire places.

Arber was simply the best! Our furnace went belly up on a very cold day, and we needed to have a new furnace installed. Arber offered to bring coffee or tea, got us scheduled for an install the next day, and drove 45 minutes each way to bring us back some space heaters. He walked us through everything very well also. WireNut customer service has been over and above. Thank you so much, Arber!

Christopher McKenney did an excellent job and evaluated different options with me to have the best most cost effective option for the installation of a new outlet in my bathroom. He carefully installed and even corrected an issue with the way the old GFI outlet was connected to make it even better. He ensured that everything was cleaned up when leaving. I would highly recommend WireNut and Christopher's work.

NOT as advertised!! Check around before going with this company! We contracted with WireNut to have a Cast Iron Sewer Pipe relined. July 17--They started the job and suddenly were leaving when we noticed, my husband happened to catch one of the techs, when he said that they had to order a part and that someone from the office was going to call us. No one called. Then we did not hear from them, we kept calling and kept hearing the part was ordered. Finally, said they had the part, came out to finish the job and still did not have part needed and proposed replacing line for another $2800 when previously we were told that our sewer line was the perfect candidate for relining. Now we are again waiting and waiting for the part to finish the job. And it's October.

Techs were very professional. However, There was one Tech that verbally ripped apart my HVAC system. It just needed a blower motor but after the Tech was done, I ended up purchasing a new HVAC system for $12000. I learned that the Techs do get a commission on the items they sell. Had a plumber tech quote me a repair. However part of the repair was to replace the tub faucets. Thier quote? The new faucet was $990.

Don’t believe the 4 star ratings. They will rip you off given the chance. There are multiple anecdotal accounts of them charging exorbitant prices stating that there was code violations or shoddy work that needed to be rectified when other contractors found no code violations. I had a furnace inspected they called and said it had a cracked heat exchanger and needed replacement. Cost was $5800. I later discovered that price was double another contractors price. Beware of their annual inspection service as they use that to gain access to your home to “discover necessary repairs “. You’ve been warned

I was quoted $3200 for a water heater replacement from a local company - it’s under warranty so I was surprised and thought Wirenut looked reputable for a 2nd opinion. Their quote was similar - almost $2900. The service professional explained the total was due to code violations and needing 5 - 6 hrs of work to do the job. When asked how it’s so expensive with a warranty, he explained that the $2900 was after applying a standard 20% discount they use when a water heater is covered - claiming the 20% discount normally covers what the warranty amount would be. This meant the $2900 was the total after taking the warranty into account. Before he left, he was suddenly no longer able to light the pilot light and explained that we no longer had any hot water. Techs from the company were available the next day for a replacement - he just needed at least 50% of the total to make the appointment and lock in the price. If I cancelled, they would keep 15% to cover a permit and parts. I decided to confirm the appointment - believing the quote was an accurate and honest representation of the work. Confused on how the price added up, I decided to contact one last company. With under 1 hour of work, the owner replaced the water heater with a total cost of $500 to cover labor, tax, permits and disposal. He explained there were no code violations and that it was a simple job - stating the other quotes were “criminal.” The city inspector also confirmed that there were no violations. WireNut was contacted about a refund for the 15% cancellation fee with an explanation of how the quote was dishonest and inaccurate. They declined to assist, stating they had to retain the fee to cover pulling a permit and restocking the parts. The permit is $85 and restocking the parts should not equate to the other $400 they they have kept. I would highly recommend not letting the techs in to your home. The company defends outright lies by the techs and the customer has to pay for it.

They present themselves as friendly and professional but in our case it was all a scam. We paid over $16,000 to have an instant hot water system installed. Within the billing was a recirculation pump and an acid neutralizer, all paid for BUT they left without installing these two important items which were paid for. After a couple of weeks I called because the hot water took several minutes to turn hot at the sinks and baths. The technician that came out said that they KNEW they were not installed when they left. WRAP YOUR BRAIN AROUND THAT. A $16,000+ JOB AND THEY LEAVE KNOWING, I REPEAT KNOWING THAT THESE TWO PAID-FOR COMPONENTS, CLEARLY ON THE BILL WERE NOT INSTALLED. Had I not called we would have paid for these two critically important components of the system and NEVER had them installed. Yes, they came out and fixed the system, but admitted they knew when they left that they had not been installed. I think that is criminal and that you should NOt trust this company to do what their contract states. Do yourself a favor, hire a reputable firm and forgo the aggravation that we have had to go through to get the system done right.

They tried to sell my 81-year-old mother two new furnaces, saying, "these are on their last leg." We paid them $150 for just looking at the furnace and giving us their recommendation. They did not repair anything. Said repair would cost over $1200. They tried to sell my mom two new furnaces which would cost over $5000 each! They told us there was oil on the motor, but we found no oil, only lint build up. We bought and installed a new starter for $40 bucks, vacuumed the lint, replaced the filter (which we do twice a year) and got it working ourselves. Bad business practice! Appeared to be trying to take advantage of an older woman in a large home.

I had no complaints about the workers' professionalism or quality of work. I was surprised how expensive it was ($400) for same day response GFCI outlet replacement, but I approved the work anyway. It was only later that evening when I saw the emailed invoice that I realized Wirenut had charged me an additional $64 for an apprentice helper that was not pre-approved or even mentioned by either dispatch or the workers at my home. It was not a two person job. I assumed the apprentice was watching and learning, but NOT AT MY EXPENSE! I find this an unethical and sneaky business practice and, for that reason, will not hire them again.

I had an AC circuit breaker that kept tripping. I called and they gave me an appointment 4 days later. The day after I called, they called and had an opening for that day. The technician Brian arrived and I explained the problem. He was able to determine that it was a faulty breaker that needed replacement. He replaced the breaker, problem fixed. Prompt, courteous, professional. Would definitely use again.

Well, 1 hour ago a technician came and seriously gave us a full quote of 11,115. He said furnace and AC would have to be replaced. We gave him the $69 service call fee and sent him on his way. I looked another technician on Angie’s list and a technician was here in 15 minutes . A $375 fix. This company sucks!!!

Not so good. I was charged an extra $600 on top of what I paid for the Angie's list deal. I was not surprised that the fan box on my original fan needed replaced, however, this was a shockingly high price for the new box. The tech also insisted on using a different switch than what came with the fan, but the wiring was all pretty much the same. The technician did show me the invoice before continuing the work, and I still regret agreeing to it, which I only reluctantly did because I had guests coming the next day and needed the fan up and out of the way. I had originally scheduled this project for a Saturday - one of the reasons I chose this company was because I was able to schedule without having to take time off work -that and the Angie's List Deal made it seem like a good choice. However, the Saturday of the original appointment I received a call around the time I was expecting the technician to show to let me know they needed to reschedule. Meanwhile I have a large fan taking up my kitchen table as the customer assembly was required which originally seemed fair at the time expecting the price that was on the deal. I had to take time off work on a Thursday to get the project done and I had guests scheduled to arrive the following day. For comparison, I had another company install two ceiling fans in the same house - one of which needed the wires fished in through the ceiling (no attic), drill and install one new electrical box, the other was a fan replacing a light fixture on a 12 foot ceiling for about the same as I ended up paying for this fan replacement.
