TL;DR Version: Just another unprofessional contracting company to be avoided. On a Friday (September 7th) I called the number listed to schedule a quote and spoke to the owner, Dan. We briefly discussed the project and upon his request, I emailed still pictures of a 3d model I created, to show exactly what I wanted. I sent these pictures to his company's email address, springsconcrete@gmail.com on the 7th of September. He told me I'd hear something back from him later. The 24th of September rolls around and I still haven't heard anything back, I think to myself "no worries, things happen". Again I call Springs Concrete and this time a 3rd party scheduler answers the phone. After a brief discussion I book a site survey at my house for 28th of September, at 1500. Well folks it's the 28th of September and 1700 and I'm still waiting. Even a phone call saying: "We're not going to make it, sorry" would be better than to just be left hanging around, feeling like a chump. The positive view of this is, I'm glad Springs Concrete and their owner Dan have shown themselves to be grossly unprofessional. I can only imagine the aggravation of signing a contract and doing business with them.

Please do not waste your hard earned money on this company. Initially great sales pitch, fair price and very excited about project. The owner lacks on site management(which he promises over and over), lacks attention to details, and extremely slow to resolve problems. My front step and pad look great, Even though the tore off my gutter down spout and tried to use my extension from the backyard as a replacement before I caught them. It took many calls to get them out to fix it. This was an issue because we specifically talked about the spout before the job began and he assured me they would fix it if damaged. Still wasn’t fixed properly and I had to fix it myself. My complaint is in regards to my back patio. I have a 40x13 patio. No attention to detail and an oversite by crew, they gave me a square corner and a rounded corner. Corners should match. Immediately let the owner ,Dan , know. He makes great promises but can’t drliver. Two weeks later he finally comes out. Asks me for cardboard and a marker so they can make a template of the rounded corner. Then he leaves and his assistant came back. Their idea was to simply saw off to round the corner. I asked what would be the results. He told me it won’t be as smooth as the original and can weaken the concrete. I declined to have a sawed off corner. I paid a lot of money for a uniform patio. I asked three other Concrete experts and were assured it won’t look as nice as the original obviously. I took the complaint to the BBB where he belittled and dismissed my concerns. He said it’s not that noticeable. His opinion is invalid, I’m the customer that paid in full. I had been kind, understanding and patient throughout this entire process and then he had the nerve to insult me by calling me an unpleasant client. I never once called him any names I just wanted my patio done correctly. He calls me unpleasant because I demand the quality I paid for, the quality that is announced by him in person and in his website?? EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL, no quality control or attention to detail, complete customer service FAIL. He even over charged me even though my contract stated the cost. He saw the charge for color and said that was too low and raised it. Quoted on contract as $250 he then charged me $475. When I filed my complaint with BBB he said it was a misunderstanding.

I have never written a review before for good or bad service but I have experienced nothing but horrible service from this company. Late September, I contacted Spring concrete for a estimate to extend by back patio. KC came out a few days later and he was on time, explained the job, and was professional so I canceled the other estimates I had set up with different companies. I accepted the bid beginning of October after the project was approved by my HOA and was told someone would call me soon to set up a project date. Finally after 2 weeks, I contacted the company four times over a two week period with no phone calls back. (Springs concrete goes through an answering service and then they pass messages on to the office) Finally, on 10/22 Daniel (the owner) texts me and states "This is Daniel with Springs Concrete" so I text back and nothing. I call and he does not answer his phone. A week later someone calls and shows up on a Friday and tells me that the project will now cost $500 dollars extra. I accepted the extra cost and was told somebody would be at my home Monday morning at 0830. Nobody showed up and nobody called stating they would be late. Finally, I texted the owner at 1000 and told him to cancel my project. He replied "please don't hate me." HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION, nothing but excuses. Save time and money and go with another company!!! Reading other reviews they are probably the most expensive company.

Springs Concrete poured sidewalks, driveway expansion, and patio; which started heaving and cracking. The owner of Springs Concrete came out last Jan 2014 and inspected the damage. He agreed to perform repairs on affected areas the following summer. I contacted Springs Concrete in July 2014 to coordinate a day/time to perform the repairs. The owner kept making/breaking appointment times all summer. He finally came out, however only performed the minor repairs and not the major ones agreed to. I reminded him of those repairs and he agreed to come back and fix them. The day was Nov 10, 2014 and he has yet to come back to finish the repairs after reminding him every week since July 2014. The problem now is winter is now here and cold temps/freezing water is what caused/creates the concrete damage. Note. the owner suggested one type of repair to try first before using a more involved/extensive solution to correct the situation. When the concrete was installed, rebar was never used to connect to parent concrete next to it; hence when water got underneath the concrete section and froze, it lifted the section approx. 3 inches above the parent concrete, causing an uneven patio surface. The other area needing repair has a huge crack that needs to be re-leveled. I contacted the BBB last November and they have been working with the owner. The owner said they would come out after the holidays. The BBB sent another reminder to them, but they still haven't come out and performed the repairs.

First impression with Daniel was very favorable. He was on time, polite, and did his best to accommodate our budget. He quoted us 4500, half up front, the rest upon completion which would be at the end of 3 days, once he started. The actual job took 27 days. His initial design did not take into account the fire pit being too close to the house, so when my husband questioned him on putting on the pit on the porch, Daniel added the extended fire pit at no cost to us (although he did suggest we 'tip' him for the concrete - which I did). The stamped concrete came out beautifully, but the seating wall was done with the wrong bricks, and it took him over 3 weeks to even finish that. His office stopped answering my calls (I suspect caller ID), and voice mails to his cell phone and office phone went unanswered. When he did reply, he openly admitted to my job being 'put on the back burner because he has other jobs to do and mine was just the seating wall'. My husband had to finally call and politely, but firmly, ask for an explanation, reason for the delay, the wrong estimation of the fire pit, and asked Daniel follow up with me since I was at home waiting for his men to come complete the job, instead of ignoring my calls. They left a huge pile of debris concrete right next to the new porch. I paid him at the end of the 3 days, even though it was not 100% completed, but he still felt the need to 'put my porch on the back burner'. His men were late or never showed on the day they said they would be there. I will absolutely not use Daniel again, even though the end product is beautiful. No regard for his client's time, rude, and is apparently incapable of managing his time correctly. His rudeness extends to the office, as well, considering they stopped returning or even answering my calls.

Daniel was great to work with. He partnered with us to give us the design, color, and patio preferences we desired. The project was completed on time as promised and he even came back to check on the work after the project was done. I highly recommend Daniel and his crew!

My first experience with Daniel was a bit rough. I had him come out to quote concrete pathways around my house. He cancelled the first estimate but came out the second time and the quote was reasonable so I booked him for the work. On the day he was supposed to start, nobody showed up or responded to my calls until 4 that afternoon. He told me had overbooked so would be out the next day. They did actually make it the next day and the quality of the work was pretty good. They did leave a pile of concrete waste tucked under one of my bushes which I didn't discover till later. A year later, I decided I want to expand my patio. Since the price was so good the first time, Daniel was my first call. We made an appointment but on the day of the appointment, he called to reschedule. On the second appointment, he called to cancel and we rescheduled yet again. On the day of the third appointment, I called him 15 minutes after he was supposed to be here and he told me that he was at another job site but would quote me via Google maps. It seemed like it was a total guess work when he emailed the quote and the price was twice as much as the previous work for less square footage. Im done attempting to book work this company. Owner has no time management, seems to only care about his schedule, and has become unreasonable.

Daniel and his team were all very courteous during the entire process. He does a great job of explaining the entire process. He will get into as much detail as you want him to. I originally thought it was regular concrete that is stained but in fact it is pre-colored. That was one part I really loved because a stain can be worn down eventually and show the gray concrete color. Since the stuff Springs Concrete uses is pre-colored I don't have the same concern. Daniel explained that they use some of the best concrete they can get for their work because they want to have the best looking product for the customer. They framed it out in one day, poured the next, and sealed it the third day. They have a number of colors and stamp patterns to choose from. Our new stamped patio looks incredible and it really draws the most attention out the entire back yard now. I just have to finish the area around it to try and keep up with the work that Daniel and his team did. The only problem we had was that once it was finished it was so nice my wife wanted it to be even bigger. Overall we are very pleased.

He is very defensive - and even told us to call the former company we had used before rather than just doing the job he was paid for. Not reliable at all to do the job right
Description of Work: Apparently Daniel Flansburg (owner of Springs Concrete LLC) thought he'd try the Snow Removal Business. We hired his company to provide snow removal for a senior citizens townhouse complex in the Monument area. It was a fixed price contract, where we required his services in the event of 2 or more inches of snow. At best we get about an 80% job - and when called to complete the task (specifically the curbs and sidewalks) he responds many hours later or explains he did the job right. This company came out for an estimate, offering some good ideas on how to spruce up our backyard. He verbally quoted me, but hasn't emailed me the quote or even returned my emails asking for a quote.

I called Springs Concrete and made an appointment, in good faith, for the owner, Daniel, to come to my home and give me an estimate. My appointment was set for 4:00pm but at 3:35pm Daniel called me to inform me that he was just arriving at his appointment before me and he would be at my home afterwards. I thought it strange that he would schedule his appointments only 30 minutes apart, but assumed he knew what he was doing and the delay would not be long. I left work early so I would be home by 4:00pm to meet with Daniel. ( I am paid by the hour so leaving early means I am not making any money.) I didn't hear from Daniel until 5:30pm when he called and left a message on my voice mail telling me that if I still wanted him to come over to call him -otherwise I could reschedule. I was annoyed that he was so late and I called him back and questioned him as to why he would schedule his appointments only 1/2 hour apart. I began to explain to him that I had taken off work just to be there on time for him but he interrupted me and told me that with my attitude, he would not do business with me. My attitude? He was very rude and made it clear to me that my time meant nothing to him.......it was all about him. He gave me no apology...just rudeness. I would recommend extreme caution to anyone considering hiring a man like this to perform such expensive work.
