Skyline Custom Landscaping presented to our new-construction home offering a free landscaping estimate. Skyline Custom Landscaping targets new home construction with door to door soliciting. We discussed details of the landscaping plan, brand of sprinkler equipment to be used and the warranty, specifically in regard to the nursery stock. Skyline Custom Landscaping noted on the written estimate, the receipt and verbally that all materials and labor were under warranty for one year. The paperwork we received with the written estimate was specific to Rain Bird and we expected a Rain Bird Sprinkler system. In actuality a variety of brands were used including Toro, Rain Bird and undetermined. Initially, Skyline Custom Landscaping was attentive to our landscaping needs and completed the work promptly. Shortly after, we began noticing dead areas of grass caused by deficiencies with the watering because some of the heads needed further adjusting. After a few attempts to contact Skyline Custom Landscaping, they returned ONCE to make further adjustments. Since then, there has been further deterioration. With regard to the sprinkler system, there is inadequate watering requiring us to hand water the grass to keep it alive. It is our belief that too few sprinkler heads were installed for the size of the area There is also a sink hole. We have dead nursery stock including 1 tree and 6 shrubs. I again began trying to contact Skyline Custom Landscaping via text messaging and telephone calls. With each attempt, we requested service to correct our warranty issues in regard to the sprinkler system and nursery stock. Our multiple attempts have been unsuccessful. It has also been claimed by Skyline Custom Landscaping that our entire warranty had been voided because we moved nursery stock and altered the sprinkler system. It is true, we moved three shrubs; however, these are NOT the nursery stock that have failed and we have made NO alterations to the sprinkler system. At this point Skyline Custom Landscaping refuses to answer our calls and text messages to schedule warranty service. We have requested Skyline Custom Landscaping resolve these issues MULTIPLE times unsuccessfully. We are no longer attempting to contact Skyline Custom Landscaping because owner/operator Dru claims we are harassing him with each attempt to request warranty service. Our experience with Skyline Custom Landscaping has be horrible and we strongly suggest contracting with a company other than Skyline Custom Landscaping.
