Fantastic! A+++ Courteous, skilled, and very professional, family-owned appliance repair service. Nikki took my call and was very informative and pleasant. Phil came out the next day and gave me a quote to fix my 14 year old refrigerator. Very reasonable price. Came back when parts came in to give my another 14 years of refrigerator life. I will keep his business card handy!

Service technician arrived on time, diagnosed and took care of the problem in less than half an hour. He explained the warranty on service and was very courteous. Price was most reasonable.

Very efficient, easy to make an appt and owner of the company handled both initial inquiry and repairs. The initial part he thought was needed wasn't the problem, but he only charged us for labor once and returned promptly the next business day to make the repair, which only took a few minutes. Excellent in every way. This review is long overdue as I should have written it sooner because Phil deserves a stellar review. He provides quality, professional service that is extremely hard to find anymore. He presents a very professional attitude/appearance and gets right to the job and does not waste your time. He has excellent judgment and problem solves very efficiently. He has many years of experience which yield exceptional performance/skills. He replaced a part in a timely manner and left no debris. He was also very careful with my wood floors which is a big deal for me as I have very heavy appliances that rest on them. He fixed the problem quickly and on the weekend I believe. His work is very thorough and I really appreciate that once the job is done the problem is solved; I don't have to worry anymore or call back for follow up or more trouble shooting.

While diagnosing the problem Phil tried a few possible solutions and persevered until the problem was solved.

Phil was very nice and on time. He replaced the light in my microwave My dryer also was making a swishing noise. I thought it was the bands, but he inspected it and said they were fine. He also vacuumed out some lint. Overall a great service call.

I called at 9:00 am and the owner arrived at 10:15. He diagnosed the problem, melted the frozen parts, replaced the broken part and was done! He was very efficient, had all the tools and parts needed and cleaned up any water on the floor. The repair saved me the expense of replacing a refrigerator. I will definitely call him if future appliance repairs are needed.

Phil did a great job of diagnosing and fixing our washer. It kept tripping the gfi, and he found wires that were not properly placed in the channel. Tough find, but found it within a short timeframe. He also gave it a good inspection for no charge. He has 21 years experience, he showed up right on time, and is a real pro. I'd highly recommend him to anyone.

I requested a service appointment via an email that I sent after hours. Mr. Steiber called back promptly the next morning to set an appointment for a couple of days later (the appliance had not totally failed yet, so I said there was no rush). On the day of service, he called ahead to advise he'd be slightly delayed, but arrived promptly at the adjusted time. In less than an hour he diagnosed and corrected the problem with parts he had on hand (I had advised him of the model number in my first email). Every aspect of his work (including his web site) is thoroughly professional, the cost was reasonable, and I could not be more pleased with the outcome.

I called on Saturday morning to request a service call to repair my dryer, which just stopped working the night before in the middle of a drying cycle. I never expected a same day appointment, but Mr Steiger said he could come that morning. He arrived at the time we scheduled, and was extremely professional throughout the appointment. He diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes, and told me how much it would cost to repair. He had the needed part on his truck, so no additional time was needed to get parts. He replaced the part, then took the time to check other parts of the dryer to make sure there was nothing else causing problems. He was extremely thorough, and clearly knew what he was doing. The total cost, to include the estimate, part, labor, and lifetime warranty for the part was $95. Sears would have charged me over $70 to walk through the door. I highly recommend Mr Steiger and Service First and if I need other appliances fixed, I will be calling him again.

My husband called Phil in the morning to schedule an appointment and he came right on time at 4 pm. He fixed the washer first which had a broken lid switch and agitator dog. He then repaired the dishwasher in which he found that a wooden match and about a tablespoon of some kind of brownish gunk (I have no idea what it was) were clogging the motor. The wooden match probably came from our teenage daughter who is into scented candles. My husband and I had removed the drain cover at the bottom of the dishwasher ourselves but couldn't find anything clogging the washer, but Phil showed us how he had to go down a level further by undoing some screws and removing an additional plastic piece that revealed the clog. I asked Phil how much longer he thought our appliances would last and since he brought his laptop, he was able to look up specific information and give us an estimate that they were likely to last 5 or more years which was good news. For an extra $6, he gave us the option to get a lifetime warranty on the parts for the washing machine, which we agreed to. He was also able to print out a detailed service order receipt using a printer in his van which I thought was pretty impressive. The entire service call was completed in less than an hour. We thought $135 was a great price as we were expecting to possibly have to buy new appliances. Phil patiently answered all of our questions and was highly professional. He gave us a 10% discount on labor for being Angie's list members. I would definitely recommend him and plan on using him again.

Scheduling was very easy and worked perfectly with my schedule. The technician was professional and respectful in my home. He was punctual, fixed it on the first visit, and was great. He obviously knows what he's doing.

He was very prompt and professional. He quickly discovered that the oven burner was defective gave us an estimate. He ordered the part and we were called when the part was available. He scheduled an appointment with us and arrived promptly. The burner was replaced quickly. He was very informative about the exact problem and we were comfortable that he was honest and truthful. I would call on him on any large appliance repair.

Called last week to schedule appointment. Was very understanding and scheduled for 130pm 02Jun, morning of he called and said he would be here by 1230pm. Showed up even earlier and entered house and immediately began to work. Very professional and punctual. In and out in about 20 minutes.

He arrived about 15-minutes early, showing he had anticipated possible problems finding my hidden location. He was very courteous and obviously technically knowledgeable. In just over an hour he completely disassembled the dryer, cleaned all the accumulated dust from inside, replaced the igniter and the worn front glides, and reassembled the machine. He had the parts on his truck, so there was no delay to wait for parts to be ordered. He did not try to sell me any parts or service that were not needed. While he was here, we also discussed the possible repair of an older microwave oven.

They are great. The price is that he does it by-the-job and depends on the hours. He's very honest, gets the work done right the first time and dependable.
