The repair to the washing machine didn't cost anything because it was under warranty. They had to replace the drum twice because it kept coming open. It was a thousand dollars a piece, we did that twice and then we replaced it.
Description of Work: We bought a new refrigerator from them. Repair on a washer. Had to replace a drum twice and then they replaced it.

They would not do a vent hook up and said our 5 year warranty did not include that type of assistance

Description of Work: Supposed to deliver and install my refrigerator. Hector came in upset. He said he couldn't install because I had copper line and it was not to code. He actually kicked the line and bent it. Then told me, "see it's kinked." He then grabbed the paperwork out of my hand and I tried to get sales dept on phone. He called his dept while I was was on the phone and wanted me to talk to them to cancel delivery, even though I was still on my phone. I told him to just take it away.

The product was great. They have a lot to be desired in terms of their billing process. I could never get an itemized statement. I have no idea what I paid for sq. ft. for carpeting. The outcome was outstanding though.
Description of Work: They did flooring (carpet) in 2 locations, kitchen remodel, cabinets and carpets.

I stopped using them because they are over priced compared to others. Their service is decent but I did not like how they marked up their prices at 250$ instead of 130$.
Description of Work: They installed an air bag for suspension.

Sears replaced 4 tires on my 4x4 Ford truck without an appointment while I waited. The associates and mechanics were courteous, provided quick response, and helped me to apply coupons, offers, and rebates to reduce the overall cost. I would purchase and have them install tires again.
Description of Work: Replaced 4 tires, valve stems, and balanced.

We were looking for a complete appliance package consisting of high-end Kitchen Aide Range, Kitchen Aid Microwave, Kitchen Aid Warming Drawer, Kitchen Aid Counter depth Refrigerator, Bosh dishwasher, (a second) LG Refrigerator, High End LG Washer and Dryer. We knew one of the appliance salesmen and wanted to give him our business however, everything we encountered set off Red Warning Flags. For example: - The computer systems provided to Sears sales staff makes it difficult/impossible in some case, to find selected items - Sales staff have to work with antiquated computer systems on which they are not trained. On one occasion, we asked the salesman to scroll back to the top of an order to review an entry. His response was "Oh no, I can not do that with out first submitting the order" - SEARS is unable to provide hardcopy print outs of any items. Price quotes are verbal. - SEARS staff do not provide follow-up phone calls or e-mail - The order process included a lot of "Trust me this will be fine" - On more than one occasion, the sales staff seems to be overwhelmed with customer issues, complaints, and problems. Our salesman told us the he was dealing with multiple customer problems one of which was because SEARS corporate refused to address the complaint. This was NOT a confidence builder. Taken all together, we decided to avoid a inevitable "train wreck" and instead went to Best Buy where our ordering experience was excellent. Please see separate review of Best Buy (Colorado Springs)
Description of Work: We were shopping for a whole-house appliance package and but all indications were that purchasing through Sears wold be a disaster.

We used Sears because we had a Sears HE4T front loading washer. Turns out, they subcontracted to a technician from another company (Aand E Appliance) which is rated F on Angie's list. They failed to show the first day they were scheduled, and called to cancel only after I came home from work to meet them. We rescheduled, and he came at the very end of the 4-hour window. So after two wasted afternoons off work, we paid him $75 to tell us it would cost more than $1700 to fix the washe

I don't have glasses, or known eye problems, but as a recent graduate and finally having insurance again I thought a checkup was a good idea. The office staff was polite and patient when I kept having problems with some of the machines. They worked with my insurance without any issues and didn't try to sell me on glasses that I didn't need. Overall it was a positive experience and should I experience any issues in the future I will certainly return to them for help.

The purchase and everything went fine. The washer and dryer work well and we have a front loaded one. It is an energy efficient one. The people that delivered it came on a snowy day in a vehicle and could not get up our driveways. So that part wasn't good. My husband used our tractor to get them unpack and haul it up to the house on his own.
Description of Work: We brought a new washer and dryer from Sears in November.

We ordered a new microwave a. month ago. The installer was supposed to call us on 4/24/12 to schedule an appointment for the 28th. He did not call until I called Sears 3 times. Finally he called and set the appointment. On the day of installation, the installer called and said he went to pick up the microwave and it wasn't there. I called Sears and after frustating wait because the lady at sears had to go "research the problem" she called back and said it would be another week!! Obviously we decided to cancel but, Of course she could not do it on the phone because I did not have an RC code on my reciept. I asked what an RC code was and she did not know!! She gave me a phone number for the web site and said they could cancel since they had all information. We called the number. But since the order was already in process, it would take 2 days to cancel the order!! WE WILL NEVER USE SEARS AGAIN AND ENCOURAGE ALL OTHERS TO DO THE SAME!! They are inefficient and unreliable and now untrustworthy!!
