Description of Work: Very professional. Discussed the overall approach to the home inspection on the phone and discussion of what was included in the price. He arrived at the property about 30 minutes early and had already inspected the roof and exterior of the home. He systematically whent through each room and recorded findings on a PDA. He invited me to accompany him while he performed the inspection. In addition to discussing what he was looking for he gave insightful maintenance suggestions in every room. Things that were not wrong, but things to watch out for. In minor things that were wrong like leaky toilets he took the extra step to coorect the problem or diagnose the solution. At the end of the inspection he printed a summary and a detailed report for both myself and the realtor. He reviewed the findings with me line by line. Findings were outlined in a number of areas ranging from FYI to Safety and very detailed. The printed report actually serves as a prioritized check list to address issues at closing. I would definitely use him again.

 + -1 moreVery through and detailed. Was more than willing to discuss my concerns and issues. Very direct and competent. Wrote the report up on a PDA and printed off a summary for us with a portable printer, reviewed it with us (lots of detail, but also placed important items in bold so we could focus on those items). While we were reviewing the summary with him, the long report was printing off. No waiting 2-3 days to get the report!! I highly recommend. We had an appointment set up with him, then had to cancel it the day before. He rolled with it. Two days later, called with to request another time and he quickly scheduled it. I liked that he didn't get whiny or charge us for a change that was out of our control.
Description of Work: The folks who bought our house hired John Kerwin to inspect our house. He did a very detailed report on our house. So detailed and objective and easy to read, that when we made an offer on a house, we decided to use his services!
