Porter Lawn Care

He sent me a letter stating $70 for the mowing, but when he got here, he was very hateful to me and said not to pay attention to the letter and that it would be $80. I gave him the extra $10, but he threw it on the ground and said "just keep it". I paid him extra to take a garbage can and a hose to dispose of, but he started to bring them back and give me back the money, The whole experience was horrible and he was so hateful to me.

He rescued me, it was a mess. Let it go to long. so grateful for him helping me. It is beautiful. He is nice guy, very helpful.

and was invited to leave the job which he did.Previous use of services was great and recommendation for drainage and irrigation systems were taken and performed nicely. Spring call for service was scheduled and was a nightmare from the start. Did not show up at designated time, brought two assistants, started on one job with great impatience and "attitude". This job should have required only one person while the other two could have been doing something on another phase of overall work. Hourly rate was being paid. He mowed the lawn and did not consistently clean up grass clippings or remove branches and debris from the yard. My husband reminded him that did not perform these tasks. Did not consistently weed the yard. My husband and I would usually wind up having to do the weeding and debris removal. Porter Lawn Service had not showed up for 3 weeks to mow the lawn. My husband mowed the lawn twice during this three week period. We emailed him and tried calling him on his cell phone twice and received no word back from him. Major verbal blowup occurred 9/4/14 when he finally showed up to mow the lawn and my husband went outside to talk to him to tell him his services were no longer required. My husband told him we'd been trying to reach him for three weeks with no response. My husband mowed the lawn just 3 days prior to his visit on 9/4/14. Chad Porter stated to my husband that he had informed all of his customers on their July invoice that he was going away on vacation for 10 days. When my husband told him that this was news to him and that we did not see any such notice on his invoice, he called my husband an a****** and insisted that he had 42 other phone messages and that he hadn't been able to call them back. He proceeded to tell my husband that he must feel that he is the only customer. My husband asked him to please leave the property for calling him an a******. Chad Porter then started to shout out and complain that our lawn grows too fast ,and that this job was too difficult. My husband only complained to him once about not blowing the grass clippings in the back yard to which Chad Porter admitted that they had not done this job. As he was getting into his truck, he called my husband an a****** again and told my husband to come up on the street so he could kick my husband's a**. We would NEVER recommend his services to anyone, and we feel that he has violent tendencies. If he has not returned 42 phone calls, how can we be the only customer to complain about his services, or lack of responsiveness to his customers, this being by his own admission to my husband. If he shows up on our property again, my husband or I will immediately call the police.

He did a wonderful job, he mowed the whole yard, trimmed also. He also came over and did it within a couple of days because it was an emergency. He also trimmed 1 trees and a bush, and then I had him remove a lilac bush. He was so wonderful and did this on short notice when no one else would.

Porter Lawn Care provided excellent service in every respect. Chad, the owner, came out in March to examine my lawn and he recommended reseeding rather than new sod, which he told me would be much less expensive. He promised to be back in touch when the time was right for reseeding, and he followed through in late April. When he arrived to do the work he had a two-man crew with him. They power-raked the lawn (I was amazed at how much thatch they got up) and dug up every weed they could see. Then they put down a 1" layer of topsoil, applied the seed thickly, and ended with another 1" layer of soil. Chad gave me careful instructions on how often to water during the next few weeks and even stayed some extra time to show me how to water and what the area should look like when I was done. He and his crew were friendly, professional, and clearly very experienced. The unexpected cold snaps in May slowed the germination of the grass seed, but five weeks later the new grass is coming in thickly, even in the large bare area about which I had doubts. I highly recommend this company and will certainly hire them for other yard work. Update: 21 Apr 2015. My lawn looks absolutely spectacular this year! I'm getting lots of compliments on it. A couple of small areas are still filling in, but the rest of it is thick and lush, better than it's looked for many years. Thanks, Porter Lawn Care!

I gave him a call and he was not real prompt on calling me back, he called me back a few days later. He did show up on time. They did a good job cleaning up after themselves. I was very satisfied with their work.

Outstanding

This is the second time I hired Porter Lawn Care. The first time they cut down trees and fire mitigated by personal residence. The second time they cleaned the gutters and raked and removed debris and leaves from my office property. Both times were pleasant experiences. They arrived as promised, did a professional job. The total cost was slightly over the estimate due to number of hours that were required to complete the job. I was ok with that since that is how long they actually worked and the job was excellent.

Chad Porter was the guy that came, the owner. He and I discussed how long I wanted the lawn and it kept on getting shorter and so, I would talk to him but he had a particular type of equipment that he would use which I think would be easier for him but it was okay for me but I wanted it less longer because it helps the grass not to be impacted so when it gets so hot. It wasn't good in that respect and when they did the aeration, the guy that did it run over the sprinklers head and broke two. He fixed them but I'm thinking that should be something they either asked me prior to doing that because every other time, I've had it aerated every year, usually twice a year and so the people were asking where are my sprinkler heads, I'd tell them but apparently either that didn't get across or they didn't look, I'm not sure. Chad fixed them but he was at half of it. My neighbor told me, he was up early and saw that one of my sprinklers were shooting up in the air because my sprinklers come on early in the morning about four. So now, I wouldn't be using them again. I never had power racing done to the lawn and so he suggested that which I thought might be good because of all the patching that the lawn gets, I agreed to that and was very sorry after that because it was just so hard on the grass and there are spots to this day that never recovered from that. It's not his fault, it's mine. I made the decision to do it but I wish I had investigated that more before I agreed to it. I would never have that done again by anybody.

The business owner, Chad, responded to my phone call immediately. He said he would be here between 1-4 PM to give an estimate, and he was. He was friendly, professional, and explained specifically what services he would provide. The price was very good for the amount of work involved. He put me on the schedule and said he would remove all the leaves ASAP, but surely within a few days. He removed the leaves the very next day. The yard looked so much better, my neighbors will be happy. He mailed the bill instead of trying to collect immediately. He did a great job, on time, for the stated cost. I was so pleased with his work that I have decided to use him to landscape and perform continued maintenance on another property as well.

Mr. Porter really helped us with our fall clean up! Aerated, trimmed bushes and weeded. Came two different days and helped us with our very large yard. Very professional, came on time, did what he promised and was very neat. We will use him again in the spring.

I called Chad, Porter Lawn Care, approx. halfway through the traditional lawn care season here in CO and was pleased he could still work me into his schedule. His service was thorough, professional and always left my entire lawn (both front and back) looking great. I will definitely have Chad back next year.

Porter has been out twice now, and did a good job each time. I'm pleased with their service and plan to continue with them.

We had used Chad many years ago when he first went into business. My husband was impressed with his professionalism and can-do attitude. He tended to our yard at that time while we were on a long vacation. We returned to find the yard beautiful, green, and well maintained. This time, after several long-term droughts, I needed more work done. When watering the yard, I noted the water ran off and not into the soil; the grass was not growing and it looked terrible. Chad suggested a power raking, several aerations and fertilizer to get the yard back in shape. We also discussed an addition of Aqua Smart addition to help hold in moisture. I had several overgrown Russian Sages and decorative grasses that had gotten out of control and had him remove them. Chad and his helper showed up early one Saturday morning and got to work without disturbing me or the sleep-in neighbors. I awoke to find the two of them working hard at redoing my yard. I was amazed at how fast they worked and how quickly they got everything done. They removed the offending shrubs and grasses and bundled up and took away all the gardening mess. Chad turned on the sprinkler system, adjusted the heads, and watered in the fertilizer and water retaining mixture. It's been over a month now and my yard is looking better than it has in years. Chad is accurate in his work, fast, and easy to work with. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

We met Mr. Porter as he was working on a neighbors yard and asked him for an estimate. Within a few minutes, he provided written estimates for many of the services that he provides. At the time, we needed a lot of clean-up and triming done. We arranged for a given date and although we were not present to monitor the work, he showed up as promised, and did everything we needed. The quality of the work performed was very good.

Nothing but great things to say about Chad. He came by earlier than deadline time/date, did an exceptional job on the front and back yard, left instructions on what needs to be done to the lawn prior to his next visit, left the invoice and a note to call whenever I needed him. His price was more reasonable than the others I called, he doesn't charge on the off seasons (as I see so many landscape companies starting to do now), and he was very polite and gracious. I have found my landscaping company and highly recommend Porter Lawn Care to be yours as well.S

They were friendly, prompt and their prices seemed reasonable. They were quick to show my husband where it was broken and they were helpful. He also did a full estimate on any other sprinkler work in the house. Their repair service was quick and it seemed like quality work.
