HVAC Tune-Ups
I have an old furnace that had asbestos wrapped ductwork. This company came out through home depots HVAC program. When their lead engineer came out to help their sales rep give me a quote I informed them of the asbestos and he also acknowledged this fact. They still quoted me removal of the ductwork. I would later find out that no HVAC company is certified to handle asbestos. The day came and their employees started cutting into the asbestos wrap. I realized there was no way they could have set up containment that quickly and stopped their workers. I asked them if their boss told them it was asbestos. They said "no." After calling their boss he told them to just "spray" it with water. But I told them they cannot continue. The company essentially told me "Tough luck" even though they had a spiel about making it right if they damage your home. Well I had 7,000 dollars worth of damage that needed abatement. The company left their furnace and all the gear at my house for 38 days getting free storage. It wasn't until I sent official mail that they finally tried to contact me to retrieve their potentially contaminated equipment. They had the nerve to send one guy to grab the gear. I had to help the poor guy get it out of my basement because I felt bad for him. Same guy that got blasted by aspestos dust. Seems like a great employer (sarcasm) Repeated attempts to speak to their general manager have failed. The guy who answered the phone assures me they will call me but haven't gotten a call. Same goes for the complaint department at home Depot. They said I'd be contacted and still have not. This company goes through checklists of their "promises" but they don't honor them. Beware their shady practices. Another note they told me they could continue the work by spraying it. This would have been a major violation of CDPHE and OSHA. Lucky for them I didn't allow them because they would have been in trouble. I have a recording of them saying that.

☆☆☆☆☆ dream team COMPANY! I had most contact with Julian throughout the job, but his partner and Electrician were JUST AS NICE. They had cloths on my floors, as they were in and out of my crawl space. They even left to get a particular component, specific for my install. No damage to home. There was no laughing or joking around. They were concentrated on install, measuring, calculating out loud between the three of them. No cussing or profanity, either. Julian was professional and explained everything to me, including why manual was left on unit, so when inspector came, it was there, as it couldn't be signed off without it. Thermostat looks great! He also knew a lot about furnaces, which is my next thing. *Beware of companies won't give you prices on ANYTHING and/or charge you estimate to come to your house... Another reason I picked PEAK HOME was their receptionists! Sweetest, most understanding ladies! If you need to install A/C, go with this company - definitely recommend!
Description of Work: Install Air Conditioning for the first time. They ran everything and installed unit outside North wall of my house. I *had* cleared area for them to work in, which they didn't expect, but were appreciative of.

Seem to be a good reputable company. All of the technicians we have worked with have been top-notch. Management seems ethical as well. An asset to Colorado Springs and the surrounding area.

Scheduled an at home appointment with their rep at last weekend's home show in Colorado Springs. Stayed home for the appointment but they failed to come to my house. Guess they don't care for my business!

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever personally had with a company. Do your research on what they are charging you and beware. This company was assigned to me by American Home Shield for my water heater replacement. Not sure what kind of discount that they are giving to AHS, but I am about 90% sure that they are trying to recover their profit margin from that discount by charging consumers insanely high prices for "out of pocket expenses" not covered under the warranty. For example: Drip Pan for my Hot Water Heater (that I already have) - $150 ($20 at Home Depot). Expansion Tank (which according to other contractors is needed in Monument but not Colorado Springs) - $250 ($50 at Home Depot). Flue (which I have and they were unclear why I would need a new one) - $250 (~$75 at Home Depot) Gas Line (which I have already)- $150 (~$25 at Home Depot). Gas Line "shut offs" (which I already have) - $150 (assuming this is a valve that's currently on my water heater's gas line then ~$10 at Home Depot). Other company came out and bid at about 1/4 of the out of pocket cost of this company. But because Peak Home Performance is probably giving such a discount to AHS, AHS wants to go with them. So, in summary, this company cares completely about their bottom line and clearly has no problem taking advantage of consumers in desperate situations. And, again, do your research on what they are charging you and beware. Because of this company's actions, I have been without a hot water heater for 8 days and will have to pay more out of pocket than before.

Wonderful! Had this job done in August 2019. The crew was very helpful from start to end. They did just as promised. They were on time and completed the job in time window they said they would. The crew were very professional and respectful. I love my new heater and air. I have and will recommend this company again.

Great experience! They were very professional with the installation and service, respectful of the home and removal of old furnace, and provided a wonderful new system that has kept the house super comfortable! The utility bill has been significantly reduced from replacing the old heater, no doubt it will be paid for through the savings!!
