I don’t have time to get into the details but O’Shea is not good. Poor quality and he tried to squeeze more money out of me near the end. Deck and driveway. Hired through Angi who was not helpful, just added 10% to the bill.

To be clear, this is a fair, honest, and factual review of O’Shea Construction. Mr. O’Shea cannot claim this is a fake review or that I never hired him to build me a 1,200 sf deck because he practically moved in with me for the summer. Also, if anyone reading this wants to see a sample of his work please do not hesitate to contact me. You are more than welcome to come to my home and get a firsthand view of the quality of construction. I hired O’Shea’s Construction from Home Depot’s Pro referral marketplace program, and I am sorry I did. Sean O’Shea is a con artist. I recommend steering clear of this guy if you know what’s good for you. He did not do a single thing he promised. And made me pay for the job before it’s complete even though he claims to have a policy that you don’t pay him anything until the job is finished. Once he got my money things got worse. I can’t make this up! I will spear all the details of the job performed as there are a lot of unpleasantries . He failed to tell me his subcontractors are part time employees. They are a team of 4 that only worked 3-4 hours a day 3 days a week. Yes you heard that right! If I asked O’Shea where they were he always said they are at the Home Depot and will be there soon. Soon meaning in 5 hours if they show up at all. Then he always said I didn’t know they were only working part time, even though I told him multiple times. Again, I can’t make this up! He had many false promises and excuses that know know are factually false because I have the documentation from him showing otherwise. His workers are inconsiderate and parked their trucks in my drive and did not move when I ask them to. They destroy things like my corrugated drainage systems and O’Shea ran over my mailbox. Yes… as a parting gift Sean O’Shea himself ran over my mailbox on his last visit to my house which is evidenced by my camera footage, and like always didn’t tell me. Again, I can’t make this up! His deck crew damaged several other things too and not one of these people had the integrity to tell you about it and they refused to them to countless times. They turned my property into a gypsy camp and a trashcan, and they did not police up after themselves, ever! It took triple and quadruple the time if not more to complete the job and left gas and oil stains on my driveway and patio. But… Most importantly He did not build what you ask for, and what they did build is very very substandard and caused lot of stress for my wife and I! I originally came to him with kind of big pockets and asked for a lot of services that he claims to do. Part of our contract was to include an underdeck to my existing deck, but he never followed through with it even though I kept bringing it up him to. Many times, he even promised to relandscape my yard, build retaining walls, plant trees, fix the drainage that his workers destroyed, remove trash wood piles they left at my front door, and clean up all the oil and grease stains. HA… HA… The joke was on me. They placed ALL $20,000 in materials (THAT I PAID FOR) uncovered for many weeks in severe weather and then install the damage saturated product. His and the subcontractors trash still litters my property and their oil and grease stains will not wash out of my patio. Honestly, I was extremely patient and kind to them and they seriously took advantage of me. DO NOT ALLOW THIS GUY TO MANAGE THE EXPENSIVE MATERIALS YOU BUY, AND DO NOT ALLOW HIM TO DO ANYTHING ON YOUR PROPERTY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SORRY!
